My fiancé and I have been visiting this Pearle Vision going on two years, and we can't say enough…read moregood things about our experience here! It's incredibly easy to make an appointment here ... I did everything online through their website. I found this location through my vision insurance provider, but you could definitely call and double check if they accept your insurance. I was able to make two appointments right around the same time, and neither me nor my fiancé had to spend much time waiting for the other person. Dr. Morgan is fantastic - she's extremely thorough, without making the appointment feel like it's dragging on. My fiancé usually has a question or two about why they're examining your eye in a certain way, and her explanations are clear and detailed. Joshua was also very helpful - he tightened my current frames, and helped us get through all of our pre-appointment paperwork in a quick 5-10 minutes. I've been to eye exams in the past where doctors and salespeople alike have pressured me to get contacts. I've tried contacts and they're just not for me ... so I truly appreciate that aside from one question on a form filled out right at the beginning, no one even mentioned getting me into contacts. Bonus - since we had our eyes dilated last year, we didn't have to go through that whole experience this time around. If you do need to get yours dilated, there's a Taco Bell nearby that's a perfect spot to chow down on chalupas while waiting for your eyes to adjust. We'll continue to return to this Pearle Vision as long as we're living in the area! Thank you to both Joshua and Dr. Morgan for making an eye exam a pleasant experience that we would highly recommend!

They called me several times to schedule an exam for my husband, and after I clearly stated I was not ready to pay for one, their representative assured me -- multiple times -- that he receives one FREE eye exam per year and there would be no bill. I made it very clear that if a bill came, I would not pay it. Of course, a bill did arrive. When I called to resolve it, I was told the call would be reviewed and even that they knew which employee made the promise. Instead of owning up to the misinformation, they sent the bill straight to collections. I later learned from my insurance company that Midwest Eye Center is not even in network. At one point the insurance we had...once covered this. I should have verified this myself and not taken them at their word -- I own that. But their staff repeatedly gave me incorrect information and failed to disclose something as important as being out of network. I have since removed both myself and my husband from their patient list. This office is careless, misleading, and refuses accountability. Save yourself the headache and find a provider that actually values honesty and patient trust.

The eye doctor I saw at that…read moretime was absolutely excellent...explained everything, answered questions, and had me try several kinds of contacts to see if a new type of lens might give me better vision. In the end, we didn't, but I really appreciated the doctor's time and efforts! When I made my appointment this year, I discovered that they had a new eye doctor. Okay, so I went in expecting the best. The staff was kind and friendly, same staff as before, but I was not happy with the optometrist at all. I filled out my personal information as always. I marked "no retinal imaging" on my sheet, as this is a money-making service they push, but I feel is unnecessary. When I went back to see the doc, she barely spoke to me. Not rude per se, but not friendly either. At one point in the exam, she said, "come with me." She had me put my face in a machine and seemed to do another test. Then she said "Okay, come back to the room." She nonchalantly said, "I saw a small scar on the back of your eye and I took a picture of it. We will charge it to your insurance." What? She didn't discuss this with me. If she had, I could have told her that the scar had been there for years. Didn't she look at my chart? Why didn't she ask me? Why didn't she tell me what she was doing or what she had noticed during the exam? I didn't know what the other machine was or what it did. Guess what? Insurance didn't pay for it, so a bill arrived at my house, which was for a test that I neither requested or gave my informed consent for. In the end, I did end up getting my written prescription for contact lenses...after having to specifically ask for it. I can see with my new contacts, but then it was the same prescription that I have worn for years, so that was a no-brainer. It's too bad. The old eye doc was really great. The staff was really great. The stars I gave are for the staff. They should actually get 5. The doc gets 0. The new eye doc that won't speak to her patients about their eyes or get their consent for procedures that she wants to do BEFORE she does them is why I will not return.
