Would have liked to leave a review on the eye exam, however after standing in their Kenwood store for about 15 minutes, I was never greeted, never spoken to, never told someone will be with me shortly, never acknowledged in anyway. I asked the lady in front of me if anyone had assisted her and she replied no one had greeted her either. I can see why this place has such poor reviews. The woman sitting at the desk looked up at us standing in line but never said hello or called anyone to assist us. A man came from the back, looked at us in line and returned to the back---twice! To be honest, had I known what I know now I would had gone somewhere else. My glasses were ordered Feb 3rd. I was told two weeks on that date. I called to check up on them Tuesday the 18th. They hadn't come in. They told me then it can take 7 - 15 working days. I was in the neighborhood late in the day Friday the 21st, so I dropped in. Surely they are there and just hadn't called yet. Nope. They gave me the excuse the frames had to be ordered and hadn't made it there yet. My son ordered the same pair of glasses two days after I did from a different location and they came in last week. Who dropped the ball? Did they forget me and are making excuses? I'd think for an $800 pair of glasses paid in full by the way, not counting the exam things would have gone a little smoother. Needless to say I'm a little put off and out. just now I had an appointment on February 10th. they called me and rescheduled me because the doctor was sick. I totally understand that. they rescheduled me for the 25th. I was in heavy traffic and called ahead to let them know I was going to be late by 15 minutes. the lady was very rude and told me that we would have to reschedule. does anybody see a problem with this? do not go here. they don't care about you. all they care about is your money. worst experience ever. read more

I've been taking my family here at this Kenwood mall location for years for our annual vision exams and frames. There has been times when sales associates were unfriendly. We let that pass. But today was different, 20 mins into closing time my son approached the sales associate Amanda for frame adjustment, this Amanda was helping someone and told my son she has no time. Fine. I walked back to the store 7 mins iinto closIng time & she was alone. So I asked Amanda if she's still open she said I have 5 mins & I asked if shes able to adjust my sons frame. She stood up from her chair, did an arm gesture (X position) and she was so irate.. My mind was blown!!! How rude!!! The most unprofessional behavior I have ever encountered in my l. Pearl vision you will never have our business again and I am spreading this to all my friends, families and co-workers!!! If I could give you a 0 star I would. I went to the eastgate pearl vision and all went well till I went to pickup my glasses. I had miss read the receipt of what I would need to pay so I questioned it Avery was the one helping me, very rude, when questioned the only thing she did was tell me she had to call her manager saying she had a copy of the receipt again ok. I still was not reading it correctly but come to find out the 39.99 that was on the receipt was correct but having been told that I was given a credit of that amount was not explained that it was for the eye exam not the glasses. Never did she give me a case cheap or otherwise. So I put my older glasses in my purse , when I was leaving I said it would have been nice to get a (foul language) case. She ran out the door yelling there is a case on the desk if I had taken it would she gave told others I was stealing? While out the door where no one could hear her she started with well you are rude well hate to say rude to me you get it back 10 fold. So to say I won't go back is an understatement . Dr. Timothy Dawson is 5 stars the most thorough Optometrist in Cincinnati! I started seeing him a few years ago for my vision needs from a friends recommendation. I had my annual eye exam and he was extremely through, answered questions and was done with the exam in 20 minutes After my exam, when I had a new prescription and was trying to find lenses thats where the service changed. I really liked my current frames and I really only use them for the computer at work and inquired if I could switch out the lenses, the woman helping me told me my frames were old starting to fall apart. I did look around the store to try and find another, I narrowed down to two choices and had the associate price them out. She gave me a sales pitch about the premium lenses, etc and then priced them out, I even asked if she applied my insurance. It was going to be over $500 which I couldn't afford. I told her I would think about it. I ended up leaving as I was blown away by the price and felt uncomfortable by then, I had a few more errands to take care of in the mall, I ended up walking in Ilori and they told me my frames looked great, almost new and were able to switch out my frames using my insurance. The Kenwood Pearle Vision is great for an exam, but watch out for their associates trying to sell you products you don't need. read more

Very poor customer experience: People here are very rude and very poor business ethics! Do not go to this store! We spend hundreds in this store because our family of four have been purchasing all our eyewear, aunglasses and prescription from this store the last four years. We gave them three chances simply because I'm old school and i prefer to do with one supplier for things we need regularly or frequent. First mistake: Sent my son on annual eye exam and he prescribed a step higher. I asked him to just use older prescription because my son likes his current prescription. He was rude aNd said no, he needs to get new glasses. We did that and my sons started getting headaches so then we moved back down later down the road. Second mistake: My older son stopped by to have his glasses adjusted because it became lose. The heavy set representative looked at his glasses and said, we cannot adjust this frame, he needs to get a new one! I then went to lense crafter and the gentleman took no more than five minutes to make the adjustment. Since then we purchased 4 sets of Prescription glasses from this store. Last mistake: Pearle Vision continued to send us coupons trying yo win out business back. Today while walking the mall, my son wanted to get his glasses adjusted. We were near pearle visiion so i said, go ahead and try them again to see if they can earn our business. My son came back a few minutes later and said the associate was rude and old him to come back another time! My wife then walked to asK if they are still open: Amanda Spears stood up, waived her off with her hands and yelled "Oh my god! We are closed!!!" My said tou could have saId that in a profeSsional way. Amanda just turned her back on my wife! This is terrible experience! They spend so much money trying to win our business but they ate pretty bad earning it! And much less keeping it. Go to Lense Crafters near TJ Maxx. They are very professional, will adjust your glasses anytime with a smile and they dont force you to buy new glasses each time you go to their store. Last evening I arrived for a scheduled eye exam. I was appalled at the customer service. The optometrist was the worst offender. He was rude and inconsiderate. As a working mother my 2 year old needed to accompany me to the appointment. The behavior of the optometrist was so horrible that it sent my 2 year old into tears. As someone who works in health care this treatment was inexcusable. As a matter of fact this treatment is inexcusable in any business. Pearle Vision has lost my business! read more

Stopped in for an exam and to buy lenses and frames and was not pleased with the customer service. First I will note that the doctor giving the exam is great no complaints i would go back to him everytime, very knowledgeable and friendly. My issue is with the picking out the lenses, i asked for the "cheapest" most basic pair and was quoted 135 with insurance? I stated again i wanted a basic pair and was assured the price was correct. I spoke with my hr to review my insurance and she stated something was off, so i called back. I was then quoted 25 dollars for the basic pair? I went in the next day and asked again 65? I told them i called and was quoted 25 dollars and they said oh yeah we have lenses at that price? Due to the inconsistencies i left... do they get a commission off these sales? Why do I get a different price everytime I ask? I will go there for an exam but somewhere else for the products read more

I recently purchased a pair of frames and lenses from the Kenwood location and couldn't be happier. Riely and Jillian helped me pick out frames and get it all set up through my insurance. Less than a week later I received a call to come pick them up. Highly recommend this store and I'll be back next time. read more

I am sad to say that Pearle Vision will no longer be the place where I take my services. I had a change in insurance. The woman who welcomed me could not find me in the system and indicated that I wasn't covered. On further investigation on my end I could find that I was in fact covered. She looked a second time and now could find that I was in fact covered! This took 45 minutes of my appointment time to investigate. In the process she indicated to me that they had called the day before to let me know that I needed an updated insurance (which is what I was telling her!)What makes things worse is that there is no indication on my call history or my voicemails that anyone from Pearle Vision called me. Timothy Dawson who was supposed to be my service provider looked my way and proceeded to exit without a word to me. The insurance fiasco was about to be resolved but all blame was put upon me. Due to the souring experience I will definitely be taking my services elsewhere and I recommend that you think twice before going to Pearle Vision. read more
