Any hazy IPA will do for me if it's cold. Folks were very friendly about offering a stool at their table after I had stood for a few songs. The jam sessions were fun. There are definitely "home town favorites", but the crowd was warm and welcoming for a first time visitor, and I got my performing fix for the month. Not sure if it's worth the drive, but it's fun if you wanna go. Pack a lunch, tho!

They have a great selection of rotating taps with a focus on German beers. They usually keep at least a couple IPA and Stout taps. They also have wine by the glass. Parking can be a bit of a pain. TCB only has two official parking spots, if there are any spots in the lot use those ones last because all of the lot frequently fills up due to Winging It next door...especially on their trivia night. So if you leave the TCB only spots open someone who can't find a spot may get one. On the bright side, Winging It takes phone in orders and will deliver it to TCB at the bar for you if you ask. Outside food is obviously welcome since they don't have a restaurant. Interesting fact, under the previous owners there was a brewery that shared space with TCB called 3rd Degree Brewhouse. They didn't survive the covid years but it was cool! They regularly have food trucks on some Fridays and Saturdays (who will ultimately steal those two parking spots). They do have some bar food including hot pretzels served with beer cheese and mustard and it's pretty good. They are super dog friendly....like if dogs bother you, don't come here. The owners dogs are sweet and behave. They are also kid and family friendly. Some of the visitors on the other hand, their owners need to train their pups a bit more. I have seen a few squabbles over the years and heard more than a few barking contests. Don't worry, they are usually calmed down fast. And I won't let you know if I was talking about the dogs, kids or maybe both. One of my favorite things is that they use Untappd. You can see their menu on there as well as check in beers as you drink them. As of writing this I have 192 check in's there across at least 6 years. I used to be a regular but I cut back on my drinking and haven't been in awhile, but I need to go to get to 200 check ins! They frequently host DJ Gino for Music Bingo which is my favorite. He also does music, karaoke, record nights, and probably some other DJ-eeyness that I'm forgetting. There are dozens of board games inside, a couple video games, Touch Tunes, TVs to watch sports, and even a golf arcade game. Outside they have corn hole and covered picnic tables with some really nice rocking chairs. Cigar smoking is allowed out front. Aside from the rotating taps, they have a huge selection of refrigerated and non-refrigerated beer, non-alcoholic beer, kids drinks like root beer and Saranack Shirley Temples, and a few other things. Tap water and cups is back in the corner. My only gripe about this place is the $2 uncharge to open a beer from the cooler onsite. Seriously bro, come one, we're already tipping 20-25% on the purchase of that $9 can, I think the bartender could open it no problem and not make it a $13-14 can of beer. This is the only bottle shop that I used to frequent that had a "cork fee" for opening beer purchased there cold. I eventually just started buying a couple to go instead of drinking them there to save the extra cost. Last bonus fact: They used to have a run club and I went a few times and was the slowest one. We ran behind Kohls in those neighborhoods. Then we'd all come over and drink the calories back on but the worst part was on run club night they served free brats with sauerkraut and mustard...so we really put back on the exercise effort.

Well, surprise surprise, this one is in an Industrial Park ... conveniently located near a police lot. Good news, it is at the end. Decently sized inside with a nice sitting area outside. I liked this option because it was close to the hotel and offered up more German inspired beer options. They had a band playing and a food truck in the back. They offer flights but I guess they cut off flights at certain times on the weekend. Bartender didn't seem happy I asked for one but I was happy to get a flight. Bock to the future, Blood Orange, Mango Hefeweizen, El Hefeweizen, Wolken were the ones I ordered. Pretty sure I had a darker stout but can't recall name. The Wolken tasted like a German Budlight. Loved it! The El Hefeweizen was the best American hefe I've had and was easy to drink/easy on the palate and a light version of a normal Hefe. The B2F was meh (I don't recommend). The Blood Orange was heavy on the orange peel. Overall, two solid beers here that are store quality! I actually was looking for their brand at a local Raleigh store and didn't see anything. Odd. This is an absolute must stop for German beer lovers!

I would say it definitely fits into the neighborhood and appears to be a popular local hangout. Even on a chilly day, the outdoor seating is very comfortable, feel free to take advantage of the propane heaters. There are floor to ceiling windows which make it feel like you are surrounded by trees as you drink your beer and look outside. Inside there is a modern and elevated which just makes this a cool place to hang out. To order you'll walk up to the bar counter and place your order. Once you have your beer there is open seating either inside or outside. I ordered the Prairie Artisan Ales Slush which wasn't too sour and super refreshing on a hot day. I'll definitely stop into this beer bar in the future. So glad we stumbled upon this place and the vibes were definitely on point.

After finishing dinner at Shijiri, we had a little over an hour to kill before heading home, so we wandered over here. We decided to grab seats inside rather than on the front patio. The interior is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating whether you prefer pulling up to the bar or sinking into one of the comfortable sofas. Our tasting lineup included the refreshing Sangria Slushy, Anderson Valley's Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, and Komana's Hefe the Hefeweizen. While enjoying our drinks, we spent some time hanging out with Aria, the Bouvier des Flandres, who was incredibly friendly and happily accepted all the attention. She definitely added to the welcoming atmosphere. Before leaving, we couldn't resist browsing the shelves and ended up taking home a build-your-own six-pack featuring beers from 3 Floyds, Edit, Middle James, Two Tides, Grimm, and Anytime Beer Co. The selection is excellent for anyone who enjoys discovering craft beers beyond the usual grocery store offerings. Dropped by Bottles & Cans recently and had a good experience…read more Parking was very convenient because Bottles & Cans is part of a strip mall, so no problems there. They had a pretty decent selection of beers available, and I was impressed that you could get pretty much any type of beer as a singleton (versus having to buy a 4 pack or whatever). I did feel like the refrigerated section could have been a bit larger, but they did have a few good choices in there. They had a big selection of beers available on tap, and while I didn't partake this time, I was kind of tempted by the quadrupel :) The bartender was nice and helpful throughout my visit. Overall, if you're in the area, this seems like a nice place to stop and grab a beer. I've seen slightly better selection of beers elsewhere, but I do think you could find something you like here :)
