This spot is in the heart of downtown Apex. Walking in, it was pretty crowded at 4pm on a Saturday (probably the last warm day of the year), but the line moved to quickly. They have a good number of draft beers on tap-enough to fill two digital boards at the bar. It looked like they also have snacks you can purchase, like chips and even gummy bears. It was a little too loud inside, so we walked out back to their patio which had 6 picnic tables. The only downside (which didn't have anything to do with the business) was the woman sitting next to us who was puffing away on a cigarette. They had lights strung up so there was a nice "feel" to it. Street parking is a mess to find, so drive behind here/the fire station and you'll find rows of parking spots.

Disclosure: not a beer drinker. Came in with a group of 10. We were in downtown and wanted to check out HighCraft. I ordered their cider since they were out of rose and Prosecco. They have beers to purchase, grab and go, selective wine list and merchandise. Small space, high top tables and seating at the bar.

A local watering hole in downtown Apex, NC. Out of all the establishments in the city, this brewery is open the latest. Though not much for food options, there are myriad beer and cider options. There are some snacks available for purchase though. They also occasionally host events and food trucks, which can be found on their website. If driving through the area and need a place to kill time before an appointment or reservation, this is good place to go.

HighCraft has their second location in the space previously occupied by The Beer Dispensary. The draft beer selection was a great mix, I got an IPA and my husband got a milk stout. If you don't see anything on draft, they have bottles and cans. I also really liked the decor. Welcome to downtown Apex!

Perfect atmosphere to do some work! Service was great and they had a decent selection of beers. If you go on Tuesday, you get a $2 discount.

I'd driven by many times before but never stopped in until I had some time in apex in between…read moredelivery routes. It feels like an old school filling station with the gas can lights and the cars on the wall. I took a seat at the bar, I probably was the first customer on the Wednesday. They have around two dozen beers on draft. The bartender let me try a pineapple habanero beer, though the heat was a lot stronger than the sweet. I ordered the triple All American burger with three 1/4 pound patties, cheese, comeback sauce, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickle, and I added grilled onion instead of diced onion. It came on a potato roll, always a good choice. The flavor of the burger was really good, and the burger was super messy. It's one of those that you don't dare put down because it's hard to pick back up again. Really good, maybe I'd add jalapeños next time. For my side, I went with cole slaw. It was creamy, but thankfully, not overly thick and heavy. Maybe a touch more vinegar would have helped balance it out. The Arnold Palmer was served in a plastic cup, a little unusual. The bartender did a great job keeping my beverage cups from running on empty. I would return to try a different beer and go for a burger again or even one of their chicken sandwiches. I saw I can get a triple chicken too!

They serve typical bar food not too much surprise there. I tried the chicken tenders and chicken…read moresandwich with fries - not bad but not the best. We went for the dueling piano event they host out in the outdoor area and that was the highlight of the experience. Would 100% come back just for that. Nostalgic songs played in the musicians' unique arrangement. Downside was the indoor and outdoor area were connected so lots of flies were circling around but that's the price you gotta pay for some good music I guess.
