This is such a chill neighborhood spot to hang with friends or meet new people. They serve beers from their other brewing location, and they've got food trucks rotating through - just check their Facebook to see who's serving that day. The place is usually buzzing with people but never feels too crazy. When it's nice out, the outdoor area is the place to be, but they've also got this awesome fireplace setup inside that's perfect for kicking back with a cold one during the cooler months. read more

In full transparency, I was here for an event and not just a regular night out. They have plenty of open space for food trucks and outdoor activity but the main bar area is a little small. I enjoyed the beer I had here and enjoyed the food truck (Drunken Noodles) on a previous visit. Absolutely awesome place .. really loved their brews ... lots of hazy fruity IPAs. Tasted few of them and chose the ones I liked . Lots of place inside to sit and sip . Lots of parking outside .. It's Piranha Joe in the morning and Vicious Fishes in the afternoon. This location has set food trucks for 2022, it's Wake the Truck Up (Thurs-Sun) for breakfast, NC Burger (Mon-Fri) for lunch and Piranha Bites powered by Bulkogi for dinner. The indoor seating options are smaller but there is a lot available outside. My favorite beer is the Here Be Dragons IPA but I also like their sours. Cheers! read more

The establishment has allowed parent's children to take over the bar area. This is a distortion of reality. Breweries are not family places. They are adult places. Kids can't buy beer, yet they push adults over to tables because of lack of bar space. I used to recommend this place, but bars and computers should not be babysitters for parents drinking up at tables. read more

Came in and enjoyed a chai tea latte with food from wake up truck. They feature a truck or two almost every day! They are brewed with a twist. Coffee, lattes, Tea and espresso. They also have wine for you wine drinkers! The staff was very friendly and everyone had a mask on. One thing I want to point out is that they are following the state mandated regulations as far as covid 19 goes. They have hand sanitizer out for guests and have masks for guest who come in and don't have one. The brewery has tons of seating throughout the restaurant inside and out! They have a stage for live music. I really thought the environment was warm and welcoming! Definitely will be back! Oh, and I love them welcoming your dogs to relax in space. read more

I actually do not want any of you, my people, to come here, as you all will likely turn this innocent place into a den of commercialism and sin. But the beer is good, no lie and Their Imperial Porter is to die for; I say this as most porters are disgusting in that "I'll drink one but I'll barf if I have another" but this one is different - you can drink two of them and still "think" you can handle a third (I did not do this, although I wanted to). My boyfriend and I had a few hours to kill in Apex and found our way to Vicious Fishes. FOOD 10/10 we shared a few a appetizers. The charcuterie plate and the fried pimento cheese. Both were incredibly delicious. Next we ordered the flat bread to share. The blue cheese wasn't overpowering like I expected it to be but WOOH it was spicy. Dessert We shared the "s'mores." the pumpkin was a really great interpretation, homemade marshmallow was perfect BEERS We each had a few tasters. A little off the beaten path, but really good atmosphere nice backyard in the summer and spring. It's a great place to hang not too far from our place which is great. Beer is a really good fairly reasonable. The food truck is there, but the common complaint is that the food truck has the same food truck every single day and the Korean barbecues great but not every single day. read more

So far all four beers that I've tried are awesome!!! I haven't had an IPA like Here Be Dragons, since I was on the west coast. One of the owners was out here and he was so kind, great to talk to, and happy to answer questions. Right now, there's just a few beers on tap and they said to monitor the Facebook Vicious Fishes Apex page for when they'll be out here serving. I grabbed a beer, called a few extra friends, and found a table in the beer garden to relax on a Saturday night! You can see the building next door that's already built, but still under construction. Walked in to have a beer, try the place out and watch some of the panthers game and told the middle aged large woman bartender that it was my 1st time And she could not have cared less. I asked if there was anything outdoors besides horseshoe and she told me to hang on because she was scrolling on her phone After 10 minutes she still had an acknowledge me at all so I left. They really have done a beautiful job with their outdoor space: they have these awesome sculptured iron globes for fire-pits to keep you toasty warm in winter and overhead tarps create a nice shaded area during NC's "other season". I discovered their beer back when they were building this location a few years ago. Since then I've watched it grew into a hot spot on the South side of Wake Co. I love their outdoor beer garden area and the laid back feel. The beer is great and reasonably priced. Staff is nice and friendly. Dog friendly too ! Oh and the firepits are nice although they've scaled back to fewer firepits now which is a bit disappointing but I'm sure firewood gets expensive in the winter months. But overall I love going here. I love this little local spot and I can not wait for the taproom to open. Even though we are only able to enjoy the beer outside, the experience is wonderful. The food trucks and occasional entertainment is a great touch. I am a huge fan of the seasonal margarita beer and their recent release Ahab's Obsession. I suggest following them on Facebook. Amongst the craziness that is Covid-19, Vicious Fishes has been a great place to visit! In August they had live music outside and plenty of space to stay inside, with masks, and the food truck selection has been great. Bailie, Jeff, and Abby have all been friendly and attentive. I never go more than a few seconds with an empty beer. Would highly recommend this to my friends for a great atmosphere, good food, and most of all great beer! read more
