Checked out peak performance on a reference from family. I have had tons of back pain and muscle stiffness from lifting weights and needed someone that could help alleviate it for me. I went to see Tracy and she was great. She asked all the right questions and was knowledgeable about how to treat my pain. She made me feel comfortable and the massage was just what I needed. Would definitely recommend! read more

It was so great to come back for one of Cedric's fabulous massages! I was looking forward to it for days, and it was truly the high point of my week. I love the new-ish location in Monterey, so much more central and convenient to get to. I was also very impressed by how they were following all the new protocols to keep everyone as safe as possible. After the last few months, we all could use to de-stress with some self-care! I think next visit will be for facial or will try out the IR sauna. Thank you, Cedric! read more

I decided on a massage while the hubby was golfing. Peak Performance Massage was close & had good reviews, so I decided to go for it. Lucky for me, Tracy was available. I've been suffering with severe shoulder pain for at least a month, when I was done I could actually move it further than I had in months. Unfortunately, we are from out of town, but the next time we visit I'm going to make advance reservations for myself & the hubby. Thank you Tracy, you made my day!! read more

I needed a massage for my bad back and my regular masseuse was no longer available. After reading various yelp reviews I made an appointment with Cedric at Peak Performance. The reviews said he gives great facials so I thought, why not? I had a great massage -Cedric really knows anatomy and how to find and release all the knots (he found some I didn't know I had!) After that I had a fantastic facial. He uses dermologica products and addressed milia and extractions, too. My face was glowing for several days after. This was a terrific experience and I made another appointment for massage & facial next month. Highly recommend. read more

I went to Peak Performance for the first time about 2 weeks ago and met Cedric & Tracy. I was looking for a place they could provide a sports massage for my son who plays different sports. He enjoyed his massage and wants to go again. I ended up booking the Swedish massage which I enjoyed the relaxing time. Both Cedric and Tracy were very friendly. Tracy was great and was very nice. I definitely will be back and recommend them. I am glad I found this place and booking online was easy! read more

I had a wonderful Lymphatic Massage from Tracy today! I had surgery two weeks ago and it was suggested that I have a lymphatic massage to help with the healing process .. specifically the swelling. I learned that there are not too many massage therapists who truly understand how what this massage is about and was lucky to find Tracy at Peak Performance! On top of her magical hands she has an awesome personality that makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. If you are looking for a great massage of any kind I would recommend Tracy!. read more

Tracy, I appreciate your offer but I will respectfully refuse. I will feel a lot more comfortable if we can cancel the transaction. Thank you for understanding Update: 05/23/18 I would like to thank Tracy and Peak performance for listening to my input and working with me to resolve the issue. Things were dealt with in a professional way. read more

I wish I could give more stars. I got in a pretty gnarly car accident at work 2 days ago and Tracy was a true blessing! She heard what was concerning me and addressed it PERFECTLY!! The conversation was relaxing but very engaging. The best part was, Tracy honestly acts like shes stoked to be there with you! It was the most genuine and welcoming feeling and truly appreciated due to the state of mind i was in when i arrived for my appointment. I would recommend almost anyone to this place and if you were on the fence looking for a sign to give it a go, consider this your sign! Go! Tracy got me hooked. Shes an incredible massage therapist and a joy to be around! A++ from this impressed customer!! read more

My wife was sweet enough to purchase a massage for me on Valentines days from Peak Performance. I arrived there at 11:45 am for a noon appointment knowing there is always a form or two to fill out. At 12 pm a woman came out an smiled, then went back in the room. She then came back out with a client who had just finished with a massage. She asked if I had an appointment and I replied yes, for 12 noon. She asked for my name, which was nowhere to be found in their data base. She then asked who was it with and I said I believe Cedric. She said " well the good news is Cedric has an opening at 12:30 if you want it" it was 12:15 at this point so I said sure. After hearing for the next 15 minutes of two men sounding like they were watching YOU TUBE videos in the back room, talking and laughing, one man finally came out and said " how are you" walking past and leaving the office!!! At this point I just left. Without boring you with more garbage, this is best best part. Cedric had the nerve to call me and and ask if I was coming back. He also called my wife sounding like he didn't understand why we were upset. He didn't apologize or sound remorseful. He sounded like a millennial who wanted a trophy for doing nothing. He didn't acknowledge his mistake. He said "he conversates with numerous people per day". It's called an appointment book and accountability!! It sounds like Cedric still lives with Mommy and Daddy and has no idea how to run his business. The other women in the office sounds like she knows what she is doing and tried to accommodate. There are plenty of other places in the area for a massage. What was suppose to be a relaxing hour was just an hour of my life I will never get back. Grow up Cedric!!! read more

Was able to schedule on fairly short notice and they were very accommodating. Cedric did a great job and knew exactly what points to hit after briefing him on what areas were in pain. Will come back again. read more

Today I had an amazing facial at Peak Performance. The space Peak Performance occupies was extremely clean and very zen. Cedric was my skin tech and was gentle but very thorough. My skin felt smoother & glowed from intense pampering. I would definitely recommend Cedric & Peak Performance for a self-care session. read more

I have had two massages with Cedric and he is amazing. He was informative and understood what he needed to do to help me. He was gentle and provided much needed relief to my tense back and shoulders. read more

I've been getting waxed here regularly for about a year and they are really good at what they do here. Very responsive and understanding of any changes or complications when it comes to waxing. So professional, so personable, and definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a regular masseur/masseuse or esthetician. Great service! read more

Bottom line: This was an excellent experience and I will return on a monthly basis. I saw Tracy to help treat some shoulder issues. As an athlete, I was hesitant to spend the money on massage as a regular tool to help in recovery. After this visit, my mind is changed completely. Tracy helped alleviate many of my symptoms and was deeply knowledgeable about her profession. I walked away wondering why I had not come sooner. I look forward to the next visit. read more

I was really hesitant to get a massage but I am so glad I went.. I had a massage this past Sunday and I will refer all my friends and family back here to see Cedric. He provides the perfect pressure and has a great ability to locate all the tender spots.. A massage, personalized to you! read more

Tracy is so caring and an excellent massage therapist!

Probably one of the most restorative experiences I've had in quite awhile. I needed emergency attention and Cedric made a way for me. His level of professionalism and ability to practice quality body work is incomparable. I'd highly recommend Peak Performance to anyone searching for quality care set in a peaceful studio space. read more

The week of 4/9 I was in town but almost canceled the trip due to pain. Read the reviews and booked Cedric to help with my back pain from an old bulging disc injury that flared up. Cedric carefully listened to my concerns and went to work! I was impressed with his skills and knowledge and noticed upon leaving that he is a licensed esthetician. On my second trip I had a wonderful facial with Dermatologica products after my sport massage. I highly recommend Cedric and a big plus-he is by the airport in an office complex with easy parking. Thank you Cedric and yes I am foam rolling every day! read more

I came in for the first time, a couple of weeks ago, to receive the skin cleanse on my back. I was trepidatious at first, but was soon relaxed and ready for treatment. Cedric was respectful and explained the entire process as he went along, and I was amazed at how in-depth the whole treatment was. I had never been interested in such treatments prior arriving that day, but after a little convincing, I decided to try it out. The results were great! I left with clean skin, a healthier back, and a bit rejuvenated after the whole process. I plan on continuing treatments in the future, along with the standard massage work, and at this point, I don't think I could possibly recommend anybody else, as I often find myself recommending him to anybody that asks. The bottom line is: Cedric is thorough, pleasant, easy to work with for appointments, and so far, seems to have the right balance of time and effort in his treatments, and he really seems to know what he is doing. I was ultimately, quite pleased with the skin cleanse, much to my surprise. I haven't had many massages from others, but I haven't had any better. read more

I got a gift certificate for a massage at Peak Performance for Christmas and I finally used it today. Cedric gave me the best full body Swedish massage I have ever received. He checked in with me about the amount of pressure I wanted and I told him I NEEDED pressure and he delivered! I walked in mildly sore from my workouts this week and walked in feeling like a cloud. If you're looking to relieve stress and tension off your shoulders, schedule an appointment with Cedric. The online booking is super fast & efficient! read more

I can't say enough good things about Cedric. I no longer live in Monterey, but lived there for 27 years and I followed Cedric from Massage Envy to his own practice @ Peak Performance. When I was competing I saw Cedric twice a week and he always took good care of me. Just recently my niece who still lives in Monterey, lost her mother to a battle with cancer, and to help her de-stress, I wanted to get her a prenatal massage. Cedric was my first call and instantly after hearing of the situation he made arrangements to take her right away and even threw in a facial. Not only is he the best on the peninsula for body work, he is a genuinely good person and I'm so thankful for him taking care of my niece. read more

Cedric was awesome! Had a 90 minute massage and it was amazing! I've had some really terrible Groupon massages around the peninsula - this was by far the best masage I've had (groupon or not) in a long time. Even given the fact that it was a Friday at 5 and i was likely his last client of a long week. I'll definitely be back - and paying regular price - for work with Cedric. read more

Cedric is an incredible massage therapist. I don't relax easily and have very sensitive nerves/skin/etc and it was the best massage I've had in a very long time. read more

I've been going to Tracy and Cedric for about 7-8 years now and they are the best out there. I have extreme chronic neck and shoulder pain/knots and they always make me feel better and work out the knots. You won't find two more professional yet personable therapists! read more

I received a maternity massage from Tracey and it was wonderful. I will definitely be returning in the future. She was professional and friendly and the massage was great. The massage was a gift from my husband and I forgot that he had included a tip when he purchased the gift certificate. I tried to tip Tracey and she reminded me she'd already been tipped and refused to take the extra I tried to give her. That's true integrity. The office space was cozy and clean. No, it's not a day spa environment or resort environment, but when you're laying on the massage table with your eyes closed, none of that matters anyways. read more

I saw the reviews on Yelp and thought I'd give Tracy a try - and boy am I glad I did! I had hurt myself and was having back spasms and in a great deal of pain. Tracy knew right away that the problem wasn't my back, but tight muscles. I've been going in to see her every few weeks and feel so much better. Tracy is an excellent masseuse. Very good with deep tissue and great at communicating so the pressure is just right. Easy to get to location with plenty of parking. If you're looking for a day spa environment, this isn't it, but if you're looking for a quality massage, then look no further. read more

I've been coming to see Cedric for the last year or so already. I've seen 4 other therapists in Carmel, Monterey and Pacific Grove areas based on high yelp ratings. At the other places I felt that I had a nice, relaxing massage but not the kind I need for the type of training I do and my job. If you're an athlete who's injured or are experiencing tightness/soreness/pain, if your job is the kind that breaks your body every day or if you're doing both and want to have a solid maintenance therapy I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cedric. I wouldn't be where I am right now in my training and still be able to go in every day to work if it weren't for Cedric! He is also an athlete himself and understands and knows what he's doing. I wouldn't go see anybody else! read more

I booked an hour massage to focus on the tension in my neck and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. I had my massage with Tracy who does excellent work. I was so relaxed the entire time. The ambiance is so nice and Tracy is extremely good at what she does. I left feeling like I was hovering on a cloud. I will be a regular customer going forward! Excellent work!!! read more

Best services by far. For the past year I've been getting great service at extremely reasonable prices. Whether you need full body waxes or face and back facial - this is the perfect place to go. Based on these services, I continue to have clear and smooth skin. I highly recommend this place. read more

I've been a Cedric fan for years & he just keeps getting better. He always asks what's happening with my body, but he invariably finds hotspots I didn't even know existed. Intuitive, healing hands. Five stars, for reals folks! And the studio is comfortable and roomy. A major improvement over Massage Envy, although I have to say there is no place like home and Cedric does out-calls as well. It's all good. Catch him anywhere you can! read more

I have recently moved and I cannot express how difficult it is to find a therapist that is as competent and amazing as Cedric. I saw him for about a little over a year, and every time I went it was like he fixed me right up and I was a new version of myself. I highly recommend Cedric and encourage you to pay him a visit whether your a visitor or a local. This man truly cares about your well being and will help you in your journey to better yourself. One hour makes a huge difference! read more

I am visiting Monterey Bay for the weekend and wanted a deep tissue massage. I found Peak Performance Massages on Yelp and I have been super impressed with Cedric's skills. He found immediately my tight spots and was able to work them out. I left Peak Performance with no more feelings of tightness or pain in my neck and shoulders and my posture improved visibly. Best massage ever. I will definitely return when back in the area! read more

I have been going to Tracy for two years now. Her deep tissue is as good as it gets. She is a real professional that knows how to get the kinks out. I have no reservations giving her the highest rating. read more

Got a couples massage (two groupon deals) with my wife for our second wedding anniversary here. Both my wife and I came out feeling refreshed and very happy. The two mesusse' we had were great. My wife got her massage from Dianna and I got mine from Tracy. Tracy had a great grip able to work deep tissue in my back that really relieved a ton of pressure i had been feeling lately. She also is very talented with feel. They put on nice music during the massage and had the lights turned to a relaxing level. All in all it was exactly what my wife and i needed to start our mini-vacation in Carmel. read more
