Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared pretty quickly. We waited approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged. A woman standing behind us who had arrived after we did was approached by the bartender and had her order taken first. I'm not going to speculate about the reason, but sitting there and watching it happen certainly didn't make us feel welcome. At that point I decided not to order anything because I already had doubts about staying. My wife ordered a glass of white wine that was supposed to be a 6 oz pour. When it arrived, we both questioned the amount. I even noticed other glasses of wine at a nearby table that appeared to have considerably larger pours. I've included a photo so people can judge for themselves. We weren't looking for special treatment because it was our anniversary. We simply expected the same basic level of acknowledgement and service as everyone else. It's unfortunate because we came in genuinely excited to try a local place and celebrate together. The atmosphere has potential, but our first impression of the service made us feel like we'd be better off spending our anniversary somewhere else.

It looks the way it does in the picture because we took it apart because I don't know how anyone could get it into their mouth! The brisket was generous on there and thick, tender, delicious slices. The pimento seems freshly made with a little kick (not spicy) and bacon is perfectly cooked with some tomato and Texas toast that's not greasy. And those tots? Addictive! And not to be forgotten, our server, Georgia was the sweetest, most helpful young lady. When my friends and I arrived there, we were impressed at the professional look of the set up. The Dam Bar featured full lighting, smoke machines, and a great DJ and PA set up. The actual stage set up was the best feature of the venue, in my opinion. 4 people could play full band karaoke each with their own high definition screens as well as audio monitors at your feet. Their Rock Band library was the biggest single selection I have personally ever seen! This is an impressive collection of almost every available track for the game, including track packs, Rock Band store songs, and the Green Day: Rock Band export pack. There is definatly something for everyone at Rock Band Atlanta. Fans of the game would respect the work they put into their set up and organization, and the casual attendee can't help but be swept into the excitement of the atmosphere. I saw experienced players mingling with the guy who just came in for a sandwich and a couple beers, and everyone was having a great time. I would highly recommend attending a Rock Band Atlanta event if you live in the area, or stop by if you are passing through the area...you will be glad you did!

It has great outdoor seating on the covered patio, perfect for both being outside but also not subject to all of the elements. The indoors is cozy with a small bar and long table seating. The beers are in German style, a more unique offering among other local breweries. Pints are about $5 DEFINITELY unique nowadays! As a distillery they produce all the standards with a creative cocktail menu. With a full bar, Sugar Hill Distillery offers a lot more than most. The menu is more American than German, but still not a lot for vegetarians. Service is super friendly. Overall great spot for a beer on a nice day!

Rooms were more rustic/cabin like but were very tasteful. There is both valet and self-parking available. The valet parking fees escape my memory, but it was no more than $20. Highly recommend this lodge for a getaway with the girls and it would be very nice with your significant other as well.

Carving station, oysters and shrimp cocktail, cheese and fruits, desserts galore, and special touches like a cotton candy machine for the kids and a fresh fried beignets station. There was a bar set up outside the meal areas so we could get cocktails and wine by the glass we ended up ordering a couple bottles at the table. There was a lot of people enjoying themselves. The drive to the lodge was beautiful, it was a colder day but the sun was out and everyone got to have some great food and still enjoy themselves and the day. I bring my dog here pretty much daily and enjoy the walks, the views, the lake, the vibe, and occasionally the sun sets. The views are majestic and the land is well kept and truly a gem of Georgia. Doesn't seem like it really gets crowded during the week and the lake is truly something to behold. Doesn't get much better than this. Five solid Stars for Lake Lanier and two thumbs up. Thank you.
