~Rude/inexperienced manager in the music venue ~$17 grilled chicken Cesar salad had five tiny croutons size pieces of chicken mixed in with 12 croutons, and lettuce was soaked in Cesar dressing, very disappointing. ~ Venu is echoey ~BBQ Sliders 3/$14 were okay (wife's comment) ~Smelled like someone smoking powdered drugs in the ladies' bathroom (My wife's experience) had a very chemical odor. ~ Security staff was friendly ~ Server was friendly and the crappy salad came out fast. ~Good Coverband venue, touring acts would be wise to book elsewhere. ~ Venu was clean ~ The attached restaurant looked nice. ~Advice: Eat before you go see a cover band.

We had a great time at Boot Barn Hall tonight!! It's a wonderful dinner + concert venue. We got there when the doors opened (6pm for a 7:30 concert) and were shown quickly to our table. There are probably 50ish 8-top tables on the main floor, then a wraparound balcony with 8-person (single table) box seats. There is table service throughout the concert. Our waitress quickly took our drink order - several beers on tap, more in cans, and cocktails. Our beers arrived and we placed our dinner order. We both ordered the signature brisket sandwich - mine with Mac n cheese, his with baked beans. Everything was very tasty. We followed dinner with the chocolate cake for two... it's more like cake for eight!! Very very good. We went to see Blackhawk. Josh Courson was the opening act, and he was really good! Blackhawk was WONDERFUL! You can tell they love what they do! The sound in the venue is very good, as well. We will definitely return when in the area again.

    What a great venue!

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

When my friends and I arrived there, we were impressed at the professional look of the set up. The Dam Bar featured full lighting, smoke machines, and a great DJ and PA set up. The actual stage set up was the best feature of the venue, in my opinion. 4 people could play full band karaoke each with their own high definition screens as well as audio monitors at your feet. Their Rock Band library was the biggest single selection I have personally ever seen! This is an impressive collection of almost every available track for the game, including track packs, Rock Band store songs, and the Green Day: Rock Band export pack. There is definatly something for everyone at Rock Band Atlanta. Fans of the game would respect the work they put into their set up and organization, and the casual attendee can't help but be swept into the excitement of the atmosphere. I saw experienced players mingling with the guy who just came in for a sandwich and a couple beers, and everyone was having a great time. I would highly recommend attending a Rock Band Atlanta event if you live in the area, or stop by if you are passing through the area...you will be glad you did!

The backdrop to this venue is Lake Lanier Itself. The lake was busy this weekend. Several boaters dropped anchor near the venue to listen the the music. I am not sure what the capacity is for this place. You sit in reclined chairs that are positioned starting from the concession areas leading down to the stage. The chairs are on a terraced lawn. The breeze coming off of the lake is refreshing. The sound is very good. When I arrived I expected this to be loud and filled with echoes. However, the sound was directed well and not dispersed. After all it is an outdoor venue. We went to the Shamrock Festival. This event lasted around twelve hours. We had a good time. I enjoyed all the bands especially Departure and Back in Black. Add in the view of the lake behind the stage...and seeing so many boats drawn like magnets to the music as its sound carried across the water...and you have one awesome venue! Thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to be back many times. My only complaint is that it is so difficult to find information about this amphitheater online. Needs better online marketing that tells upcoming events/costs/ticket sales, etc. Also a layout of the venue, showing seating, parking, concessions, restrooms and explaining what items can/cannot be brought in--that kind of stuff. Can't find any of that information (even on the Lake Lanier Islands website) and numerous other people we talked to at the concert had the same complaints. C'mon guys, that's an easy fix!

The building retains a lot of the look and feel of an early-20th-century church with interesting architecture, stained glass, creaky wooden floors, and all. It has a lot of character, as they say. It also has a lot of bars, at least one on every floor (there are four floors). We attended Ali Wong Live here on Saturday, April 11, 2026. It was a great show and we enjoyed the venue. My wife bought tickets back in November. We sat on the lower level, fairly close to the stage, in Section 102, Row F, Seats 1-2. These seats plus "Premier Parking" in the 100 Luckie St garage (LAZ Parking) cost $380.09 after taxes and fees, via Ticketmaster. The 100 Luckie St garage is two blocks down the street from the Tabernacle. It's an old garage with tight turns and spaces. The price was $15 per person and it seemed a bit pricey for such a small garden. Perhaps I would feel differently if there were more flowering gardens. I would love to come back again when there's more flowers and plants in bloom. There's a small gift shop and everything was fairly priced. I bought a book about birds and some magnets. It was the first year that the people of the Atlanta botanical gardens located in Atlanta, journey up to Gainesville to create a beautiful display of Christmas lights. The only thing that was missing was the Christmas music that they pipe in throughout the garden. It definitely would've felt a little more like Christmas had we heard some Christmas music. The weather definitely was "wintry" with temperatures hovering around 38° or so. The walk around the the path that went through the display of lights was wonderful, and everywhere you looked there was a great deal of beauty. Going with friends, old and new, was a great deal of fun. The entry fee to get into the garden was $25 which I felt was a little pricy for what we walked through. Because it was the first year of this kind of display in this location, I think they should've dropped the price as it was very short, and there was no music. I have yet to visit this botanical garden during flowering season, but I think I might try that out. Evidently the garden is much larger than the small section I saw last night. Here's to continuing my travels, and making more memories!
