My husband ordered the Italian Hoagie with a craft beer and I had the pulled chicken hoagie; we shared an order of the Truffle Fries. All of it was excellent and did not disappoint! We ate here for dinners two nights in a row; we had two salads - kale & house, two pizzas - fig & margherita, power bowl with salmon, truffle fries and ham & brie panini. All delicious! I think the service was a bit poor. Asking for things like cutlery, salt, mustard, and waiting a while for it and then having to get up to ask again. Happy to get out of Gatlinburg and find someplace quiet. Townsend really is "the quiet side." I ordered a kolsch style beer which was excellent. We gathered a group of friends for a late lunch one weekend for Cinco de Mayo. It is busy and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The venue is very good and child friendly with a place for kids to safely explore and run around. They have the craft kitchen inside and beer taps. Serving up pizzas, sandwiches, a few vegetarian options and creative appetizers. Outside there is a taco bar with chips and guac, queso and premade or build your own tacos. They have 3 margarita mixed drinks as well. They have fresh squeezed fruit mixes too, but came to find out they are pre-mixed. We weren't entirely sure the containers were shaken up before poured as the drink tasted of mostly mixer. The food was pretty good, we ordered the trout and avocado sandwich and an order of the truffle fries. The sandwich was great and the fries were crispy. A few others had tacos and they were ok but nothing over the top. Overall it was a great space to go for lunch but it will get hot in the summer. You can cool off inside with the AC and ice cream counter that is adjoined to the bar area. We went twice during our 3-day trip to Gatlinburg! Food was great, ambiance was great and they are pet-friendly - something hard to find in the Gatlinburg area. We shared a pizza and salad the first trip - if I ordered pizza again, I would definitely ask for it to be well done, as it was very 'wimpy'. Salad was delicious and plentiful. If you're looking for gluten free, vegan or other dietary options, there's a paper menu that spells it all out for you so you don't need to ask 20 questions. On our recent trip we got the truffle fries without the Parmesan and they were great! Also, the hummus duo without pita and extra veggies. That was really good and filling, too. The customer service is very friendly and helpful, like all places should be, but sadly are not so much anymore. They have lots of beer on tap (none GF from what I could tell) and cider for me. When we visited in the summer, the outside container had a taco bar that had a gluten free and vegan taco option and amazing margaritas. I'd love to see more vegan AND gluten free options, or items that could have substitutions to make them that way, just NOT the Beyond or Impossible Burgers please...those are not food, lol. read more

Was visiting Townsend from CA and meeting some friends/family. We saw Peaceful Side Social on our way into town and decided to give it a shot. Loved the adult beverage selection! Would have liked to have tried a few more of them. We ordered a pretzel and beer cheese to share - would definitely get that again! My husband and I ordered pizzas - I had the sausage with vegetables and he got the margherita. They were having trouble with the ordering system that night, so initially our order was lost.... Everyone else got their food - we waited a bit and then asked about it. Oops.... it was missing. They quickly brought out our pizzas and all was fine! I REALLY liked my pizza. Visiting the area and stopped in around 3pm on a Saturday. Modernist hip style place with a large covered, multi surface deck and covered play area for kids and dogs. There is even a taco truck permanently parked outside. So dog friendly, the waiter asked us if we wanted dog bowl for water! Food is always excellent. No complaints there! The only downside is that the employees tend to have a poor attitude every single time we come here. If you ask for something, such as a side of ketchup or ranch, they always give us a bad look and act as if we are a bother and will often make "eyes" with their coworkers. It is incredibly uncomfortable. After spending $115 for a family of 9 to eat a couple pizzas and appetizers, I would expect the employees to treat their customers with decent respect and a good attitude. This has been an issue over the last several years. I suggest a better training program when it comes to customer service, and to "revamp" your current team, especially the ones who seem very unhappy to be here. read more

This place is practically perfect. Here's why: 1. The food is amazing. We tried the wings, fries and pizza. The wings were juicy and tender and fell off the bone like a good wing should. The buffalo sauce was not too hot and had a smoky undertone. The ranch dressing on the side was amazing. We used it for our fries too. The pizza was perfect for sharing and had a thin crispy/chewy/bubbly charred crust. We tried the margarita and pepperoni bacon ham. The fries were out of this world good, crispy and well seasoned. 2. The service was pleasant, quick and helpful. From the food runners to the management it seems like the staff is actually happy to be there. 3. Efficiency. You order at the counter when you enter, find and seat and your food is brought out. We were there on a Saturday around 7, we got the last open table. There is bar seating and larger tables available too. 4. Good beer list. Lots of choices, and ciders available too. Overall I feel like this is what many startup restaurants strive to be. The pizza quality here has fallen off drastically of late. I got a Hawaiian today with almost no ham or pineapple on the entire pizza. Half the slices had no toppings at all, and there were only a few of each scattered between slices on the other half, and they skimped on the cheese too. The buffalo chicken pizza I got in my prior visit had raw bacon on it. The pizzas here could be tasty in the past, but management needs to instill better values in its staff because whoever was on duty for these pizzas either wasn't paying attention or just couldn't be troubled to get more toppings. It's just shoddy work. My last two visits were very disappointing, and that's sad because I used to like this place. Please talk to your people about making the time to do things correctly or get new people. read more

We visited Friday. The food and service were great, however there was an employee who was very obviously unhappy and made us very uncomfortable. The older, dark-haired lady (Jennifer? Jessica?) at the taco truck was loudly talking about how she would never eat at the establishment because of food quality issues and because "she wants to be served," was very abrasive towards my friend when she went to pick up her order, and then yelled at the two younger women who were taking orders and making margaritas. I'm not sure what the issue was, but the young women were visibly uncomfortable and should not have been spoken to like that in front of customers. It is hard for patrons to want to return and to keep good staff when one employee seems set on running people off. We will return to eat delicious food, but not from outside. read more

What a gem! Stopped by for a quick lunch while on our way to cades cove. They have beautiful outdoor seating with a great view of the mountains. We tried the hummus dip, goat cheese fritter and Appalachian trail board - would recommend them all! I personally loved their Italian sausage pizza - thin crust, crunchy and the sausage was beautifully seasoned. Would definitely go back! This was some of the best food we had on our trip here - including out of places we tried in gatlingburg and pigeon forge. It's also a lot more calm than the aforementioned tourist-y towns.
