PDQ is a fast casual restaurant specializing in fresh hand battered chicken tenders, made to order sandwiches, fresh cut fries, hand spun shakes and fresh salads. It's operations have been compared and stated as similar to how an In-N-Out Burger restaurant operates. I came in here for dinner with my mom and I was craving some sort of salad........... THE CRISPY CHICKEN SALAD The breaded crispy chicken nuggets in the salad was the star of the show. The chicken was lean, moist and had white meat chicken chopped on top of the salad. I loved the mixed greens. The darker greens have much more nutrients in them making it super healthy to eat than the typical ice berg lettuce. The tomatoes seemed as an after thought and were just thrown in whole into the salad. I would've liked to see them sliced in half and seasoned with salt and pepper. There were mixed cheeses inside the salad and cheddar cheese as being my favorite choice with the mixed greens. A SHOUT OUT TO = KATHY T!! The drive through works similar to an In-N-Out which is described in full detail. To those unfamiliar I would read the description which is similar to the Portillo's in Brandon, FL. JUST NOT AS CHAOTIC. Their other location is in Brandon FL which I have not tried but there is a lot of competition with similar restaurants in the area such as WOW! The last time I was at PDQ, my moms chicken sandwich was undercooked. She just pointed it out to them, not mad, but the manager compensated her for it and gave her a free meal coupon. I didn't post a review because I felt it was handled appropriately. Let's fast forward to today. I've been out of work due to a family emergency so I'm back for the first time in about a week, slammed, can't really leave for lunch, kind of day. My colleague says she's going to PDQ for lunch and asked if I wanted something. Of course! I love the grilled chicken tenders. Anyways so I tell her what I want and she brings back my food. I'm happily grubbing away as I'm working and as I bite into the last tender, I notice that my last tender is undercooked....AFTER I chewed and swallowed the bite I just took. Are you for real?? AGAIN?! I'm not going to bash PDQ itself, but I am going to say that this location really needs to be careful and start paying attention - ensure your food is thoroughly cooked, please! We were looking for a Panera and couldn't seem to find it. We then saw PDQ and it was on my side of the road (I'm all about convenience). I've seen PDQ's before and never even tried it. We decided to stop in and I can't believe it took me so long! For a fast-food chain, everything seemed fresh and flavorful. My friend that I was with was impressed as well. Decent chicken sandwich and really good fries. Coke Freestyle machines are pretty neat too. And although it's a chore to get in and out of the plaza where this PDQ is located, the parking lot is decently set up, so that's not too bad. Pretty fast service, and I'm sure this place is busy on Sundays. But outside they use those spray misters, so make sure you have your Legionnaire's vaccine before an extended sit. read more

I love love PDQ! We went on a busy afternoon when my dad was in town. The place was hopping but we only waited in lime about 5 mins. I ordered a chicken cesar salad. I have tried so many other items that are all great but not a salad. My salad came out in less then 10 min. When it came out it looked divine and it was! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the dressing was yummy and the croutons were just an added bonus! This location is by far the worst I have been to and it is solely the fault if the Franchise Owner. I drive for third-party delivery companies and the traffic pattern here is set up to fail. All pre-order vehicles go through line with those prople ordering on location. Thirty plus minute waits in line are the norm, and the customer's food has been sitting outside on a rack waiting. I have picked up food that was cold and drinks that the ice has melted. This is totally unacceptable. Today I waited over ten minutes behind a car waiting for their order to be prepared while spots where the car should have been moved to set unused. I have filed several complaints with both the restaurant and corporate with ongormation how other locations are set up . Only once did I get a response back and that was a thanks for your concerns but we will not be making any changes at this time. read more

I was visiting a friend in Tampa, Fl, and she insisted we try PDQ since it was my first time. Their selection of choices were kind of similar to another restaurant, but I decided to go with the chicken sandwich with the maple sauce.. it was very good, their dipping sauces were different and tasted good also.. customer service was great! read more

One of the first experiences I ever had with PDQ and it is still my favorite. PDQ is very similar to a Chik-Fil-A but in my opinion a bit less greasy and more out of the box. All their menu items involve chicken (or sometimes turkey) and they offer sandwiches, salads, bowls, and shakes. They also have seasonal menu items and a rotating shake that have always been pretty good. The location itself is very clean and the staff is always really friendly which makes dining here a great experience compared to other fast food places. read more

So this is only my second time at PDQ abs the first one was a YELP event so went back to a different location. Absolutely wonderful. We walked in and there were about 8 people ahead of us. The line moved unbelievably fast. I placed my order for 2 of the 3 piece crispy chicken tenders with fries a homenade lemonade and soda. The person making the lemonade told me to wait for the drink and I literally turned around and my name was called before the drink was even finished. The chicken tenders were fresh hot and super moist. DELICIOUS. The basket was loaded with yummy seasoned fries but there is no way 1 person could finish them. I hate to see food wasted so next time I will just get the tenders and share my husbands fries. You get one sauce with each order so I got ranch and chipolte BBQ and both were fresh and creamy. I love PDQ! Food is freshly made. For that significant reason PDQ is a cut above other fast food places.

I'm torn on this one. PDQ's was packed when I took my grandsons for lunch there today. I was waited on quite quickly, but then there was at least a 15- 20 minute wait for the food, which is not great when you are there to feed 2 hungry 4 year olds. 3 piece chicken finger lunch was $7.29. It came with fries. Yup, just fries. And they were shoestring fries, which I am not a great fan of because they get cold so darn fast. But these are fresh, not frozen, so that's plus. Chicken pieces were large, tender and juicy. Quite good. Service was excellent. I loved the fact that staff was on the floor getting you any extras you may need. And they have coke products,, hurray!! Kids meal was 2 pieces of chicken & fries with a small drink or a box of Yoohoo for $3.99. Could have only gotten one to split for the twins because the portions were generous. BBQ sauce and honey mustard was quite good. (They make their own sauces). All in all good food, but not a complete meal like Zaxby's gives, so seemed a bit skimpy to me. For about $1 less Zaxby's give you about 5 pieces of chicken, fries, coleslaw and a slice of toasted Texas toast. The restaurant itself is very nice, very contemporary. Nice out door seating with cool mist, indoor seating was scant I felt for the size of the place. As someone there with little ones, I did not like that tall bar type tables were all around the ordering and pick up area. It blocked your view of your seat when your name was called to go pick up your order. So you have to grab your purse, grab your kids and go up to get the food (not wanting to leave 4 year olds alone, even for a few minutes). Now you take a chance at losing your seat. But I realize this is a new place, some kinks need to be worked out. Just a heads up for management as to the inconvenience for moms & grandmoms. I will definitely be back, hubby will want to try for sure. Food was very good. Nice to have a place like this in Riverview. read more

Showed up tonight at 8 pm (they are open until 10pm) and I tried to order a 12 piece meal. I was first told they have less than 5 pieces. Then I asked when new batch would be done and he told me they were done for the night. He then said they have to pace themselves. Does corporate know this is how they are running this store? The chicken is great but they have limited their menu since they opened. They were also alot more fun when they first opened the chains by having fun days were kids could wear certain things for discounts and made them events. The customer service has declined over the last few years. I hope they dont let it slip to the McDonalds level because they started at the ChickFilA level and were worthy of the amounts they charge. read more

I've been to this PDQ many times. Good fried chicken tenders. The fries are not always crispy everytime I ordered. Soggy sometimes too. This is something the store needs to work on. It's best to sign up for their club reward account. It's FREE! They email you BOGO meal special occasionally. We usually spend less than $10 for 2 orders of 5 piece tenders meals. When I first tried PDQ it reminded me of Chick-Fil-A. There is no red meat here. The inside is very clean..they also have outdoor seating They even have a wash station for your hands which is can deff be convenient. I've tried the honey butter sandwich meal. Be prepared for a little mess when you eat this bc the honey butter drips and can even soak up the bread. I'll usually try to get it on a bed of lettuce with sweet sriracha sauce. It was so good though and different. The french fries were good. The staff was friendly. We like eating here when we are in the mood to eat at a chicken sandwich spot. read more

Let me splain it to you. PDQ - 7.29 will get you three fingers, fries and a fountain drink. Zaxby's - 5.99 will get you five, yes that's 5, fingers, fries, cole slaw and Texas Toast. Wanna drink, throw in that cost and it's close to a tie. But wait you say, what about the fingers? Both fingers are moist and tender. PDQ's version though has tasteless breading, it's just breading. Zax breading is seasoned and delicious and adds another layer of flavor. Fries? Yes, PDQ's are fresh cut but they are shoestrings that didn't get golden brown crispy and when you get to the bottom of your basket they have turned into a cold mushy, greasy mess. The fries at Zax are the frozen (yes I know) crinkle cut and are what I call crispy creamy. At PDQ I had the honey mustard which was very good, just as good as Zax. Do you really care where its made? Really? What PDQ does have going for it is that it's close, everyone was nice and I'm sure they'll do great. My money goes to Zax. read more

From the moment you walk in, the staff is hands down one of the most friendly I've experienced at a restaurant in a long time! Everything is clean, the food comes out before you even get seated, and the staff wander the dining area to ensure you have all you need. I had the grilled chicken salad and it ROCKED! It's better than most fancy restaurant's salads! Icing on the cake? They show love to their local firemen. I mentioned to the waiter I was headed to the fire station to visit my hibs afterward and he returned shortly after w/ chicken sandwiches, fries, cookies, and waters for thos whole station! Food was amazing and delicious. Holy cow the fries are off the charts good. Service is excellent. Ambience is great. Homemade sauces are top notch. The list goes on here. This place is definitely in a league of it's own and we are so happy a new one popped up right down the road. Rest assured we will be regular attenders here!!
