I have had the pleasure of eating in once, going through the drive-through once and attended many events they have catered. It is fast food but it is good and fresh. Service was quick and courteous and unlike most "fast food" restaurants employees stop by the table to see if you need anything. If you drink is low they offer to refill. When they noticed my purse was slipping off my arm while trying to carry my tray the came to assist me. All I can say is stop by and check it out for yourself. I rarely write negative reviews, however when it comes to the cleanliness of the restaurant I felt it necessary. My husband and I sat outside on the patio for dinner. We asked to have it cleaned as there was not one table or chair that wasn't completely filthy. The floor had used napkins, ketchup, & fries all over it. No one ever came out to clean any table. After finishing our meal I went in and asked to speak to the manager. When I told him what happened his reply was, "oh, nobody came outside, sorry." I said that no one had come out and we had completed our meals. It appeared he could care less. I was very disappointed in his response. While the food was fine, it will be a long time before we ever go back.If a restaurant is going to have outdoor seating for dining, it only makes sense that it is clean. read more

Way better than Chick-fil-a hands down, if you try to argue this you don't know squat about fast food chicken. Now that's out of the way, bring a sweater if you plan on eating inside, they keep it arctic in there. Very clean and very cold. They have the cool soda machines that make any type of drank you want. Just relocated to FL, and with hesitation and encouragement I tried PDQ. Just found out this is a chain, but you can't tell from the restaurant. The decor suggests it, but the tone does not. The staff seem to enjoy themselves, the place is very clean and the food is great. No red meat, but many choices anyway. I never give a five but if I could do over four I would. Always fast service and the food is fresh. I always enjoy my lunch here and it fits my lifestyle since I can eat healthy. I ordered the crispy chicken salad, substituting it with grilled chicken. Their ranch dressing goes with it and tastes amazing. I can choose to flavor my soda (though I don't drink it, it's a good option to have for my children) if I choose to, and I can also chose water which is my favorite option. The only downside to pdq is that my daughter says the chicken sandwiches are spicy-ish so she orders chicken fingers which aren't instead. Sorry guys, 18 minutes in the drive thru line (Tuesday at 7:35PM) - I should have bailed. That is NOT PDQick. Take a clue from CFA, have people outside streamlining the order process. Asked for a water to go with my 5 pc strips (good as always) with fries (not as good as CFA) and got charged $2.29 - for water! Oh, it was because it was a large - make it a "sippy cup" water and refund the $2.29, and they did. Water tasted awful, kinda fruity - coke-like. Replacing the drink that came in the combo with a shake is an extra $2.50... BUT WAIT! Its the "seasonal" shake, Banana / Oreo.. Add a additional 70¢ on top of the $2.50...! WOW. I've been asking for a Chic Fila to be built in Riverview for a long time but boy am I happy that we got a PDQ instead. The food has seasoning and flavor, fries are salted and hot, and the hand made sauces are great. My hubby and I share tenders and fries and the crispy chicken sandwich, I recommend both. Everyone was extremely friendly and the service is great and fast. I was extremely impressed how fast it was considering it was opening week and they had a line out the door. I'm gonna nickname it "Pretty Damn Quick". I hope that the service and quality of food stays up there after they establish themselves as a restaurant in our area. read more

This place has been my go-to place for family meals after a long work day. I was so excited when they introduced new chicken items to the menu. The staff has always been courteous and kind. I've enjoyed this place from the 1st week they opened the doors. Tonight changed the way I feel about this place. I drove up and waited ... And waited...and waited. There was a small line but the cars were not moving. I was sure there was someone up front who had some ridiculous order. I approached the order window and ordered 2 chicken sandwich meals and two drinks. The car in front of me was at the pick up window for an extended period of time. My thoughts were "what did they order? My word." It was late. I had just worked a very long holiday shift and I was exhausted. The car finally pulled off and it was my turn to pick up my delicous bounty. The worker at the pick up window seemed agitated with me for whatever reason. I just shrugged it off and waited. Well I waited and waited and waited. I could see the workers preparing meals through the window. The window worker was no where in sight. I waited near 8 minutes before she came back. She said "heres your food." Then handed me a plastic bag. I responded and said " may I please have two ranch and one bbq sauce?" THIS IS WHERE MY WHOLE ENTIRE VIEW ABOUT THIS PLACE CHANGED. Not only did I wait a ridiculous amount of time to get my food after I ordered..put up with a smart mouthed employee...but this worker smacked her lips and rolled her eyes at me and said "of course you want sauces." She threw the sauces in my bag. One actually opened and spilled every where. There are a ton of other restaurants to go to now as well as grocery stores. I can spend my hard earned money elsewhere. I wish this place luck because these new employees obviously couldn't care any less than they already do. I do not know if I'll be back. When it comes to fast food this place seems to have service and speed down. The store gets busy but the staff handles it well. I am yet to be disappointed by the food. The menu is a bit limited but that's not a bad thing. Nowadays a lot of fast food places serve everything and aren't really good at any of it. PDQ takes the approach of doing a little less but doing it a lot better. I absolutely love the drive thru. It is face to face ordering. Makes things so ouch better. And they are open on Sunday's, unlike another certain chicken place. Now for the negative: This one goes out to all fast food places. You knowing my name or calling it over the loud speaker doesn't mean you are providing me with better service. I find it unnecessary and annoying. Call me order 123 I don't care. So I came in for the first time a couple weeks ago. I wasn't blown away but it's not bad. I've been back a few times since then. Fairly inexpensive as I recall my 3pc with fries and a drink was def less than $10. It's clean and quick and the area is in bad need of more options so I'll welcome it. The tenders have always come out hot and fresh. They don't have a distinct flavor by any means just a fried tender with a bit of basic seasoning. Good none the less. My daughter had the Caesar salad and said it was good, it looked it, but the dressing was a little strong/fishy for her tastes. The fries were the disappointment. Yes they appear home style but that also means GREASY. Not to my liking at all and that was the consensus around the table. The Chipotle BBQ sauce is so good I've only tried one other sauce and it was the Sweet Heat, Sweet Heat tastes a bit like Chick Fil A sauce if you're familiar with that. This place makes me feel like a kid again. Tenders are crunchy, freshly made and isn't that processed frozen chicken stuff you get at most places these days (well, at least it doesn't taste like it!) They are just the right size and the prices are good too! Fries are homemade tasting and also fresh. They look like they were cut from a potato! -- very addicting. People are friendly and ice teas and beverage options are good. As with any fast food place you wouldn't want to come every day, but once in a while when you do, it's so worth it. Cons They offer half price shakes from 3-5 PM. I had the chocolate Malt Shake and found it SUPER sweet and maybe not mixed throughly, I donno, had two sips and had to toss it. For a new store, the service and speed were astoundingly excellent. The grilled chicken sandwich I had stands out above other local eateries, with the side of fries being surprisingly plentiful. The restaurant itself is nice to be in, with a very open atmosphere and comfortable seating. The staff was very friendly and open to see to any of our needs. Price wise I would say it was comparable to their competitiors, which was nice to see. Overall my experience left me in a good mood and I look forward to my next visit. read more

I went for the first time to buy a meal and I am really upset. I bought a Caesar Salad, Chicken Sandwich and Vanilla Milkshake by walking into the restaurant. I waited for my name to be called and it was. They handed me my bag and when I got home my Vanilla Milkshake was not in the bag. When I called the restaurant immediately they said my name had to be called a second time for the drink. This was not explained to me. after driving by here daily for over two years thinking they were just another "fast food chicken joint", i stopped in out of desperation for something different, and was very impressed...from not having to shout my order into a crackly drive through speaker (you actually order through a person in the first window), to the shocking speed that I got my order and was rolling back out on a busy weeknight. But the best part is the variety of items on the menu. They have some great chicken sammiches with unique toppings like pineapple, pimento spread, and potato chips. And amazing side dishes like roasted broccoli, chile lime corn, and zucchini fries. Love the thai peanut and creamy garlic dipping sauces too!. A nice variation on fast food. Not a wide menu but they do well on what they offer and serve it up quickly. Sampled the buffalo wing strip and crispy chicken sanwiches. Lot of fountain drink options, plus some unique old favorites like Cheer wine. Better than average fast food chicken, comparable to Chik Filay. A nice blueberry slaw alternative to fries for the combo meals. Salads looked good as well and lots of milk shake options we resisted....even apply pie. Will try again/ read more

Pdq was a whole lot of hype. I was pretty disappointed. Opening day and the employee told me she wasn't sure they were taking the free shake coupons anymore. ?? The buffalo bleu sand which was decent. I like the sauce. The "fresh cut fries" had to be the biggest disappointment; they were beyond limp, greasy, and lacked seasoning. I went again to be sure it was t an opening day fluke but alas they were the same limp noodles. The shakes were also disappointing and were very similar to McDonalds.
