This place is interesting! I believe it's more of a to go place since every time I've been im the only one actually sitting in and eating. One of the few times I've been their WiFi went down and I couldn't pay with card because their reader was down. Mind you I waited nearly an hour for it to be back up and for the first 10min the waitress kept telling me my card was declining and I had to explain to her that the card reader was saying there was no connection. Other than that food has been decent and they open late which is great considering they're closed to campus. The interior seems very outdated but I don't think that's a big problem for me. I will say I think the restaurant has changed its name to Thai Chapin.

when we came the restaurant was pretty empty. inside was clean, a little hot but it was fine. service was great no complaints and the food was pretty good too, my favorite was the chilean sea bass

Visiting from California to Austin and found this GEM of Thai food in the Area of Guadalupe. Food is amazing! Portions are generous and the place is extremely clean. Staff is very attentive and their prices are very affordable. I want to give this place a 5 stars! Definitely will recommend that you try this place!

Shrimp Spring Rolls (comes with 2)

I ordered Uber Eats delivery from PD Thai this weekend and was pleasantly surprised! I got the chicken pad Thai and the shrimp spring roles, and my boyfriend ordered the panang. Everything was really tasty, and it arrived quickly! Service was great overall. Lots of options on the menu, so I hope to repeat order soon. I've got my eye on a few more dishes I want to try!

We got food from here because none of us wanted to cook. My go to dish for Thai food is drunken noodles otherwise known as pad kee mao. I really liked how they had tomatoes and green beans in their dish and I also like that they didn't skimp out on the tofu. I did pay to add both extra tofu and veggies but I was happy with my meal. The veggies were still crispy and had a good crunch! We also got the edamame which honestly was a little overcooked but maybe it was just that day. I would suggest to not get the edamame but instead to stick to their entrees. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will go again to try other dishes! I do want to point out that secretly a tiny part of me believes that the store is actually called 'Pad Thai' and that maybe the 'A' fell off and they changed the name to 'P D Thai' because it's easier than fixing the sign? Idk it's just a theory but it seemed that way when I saw the sign outside!

House Peanut Juice

Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening, we were seated right away and about half the tables were open throughout our meal. It seems like more of their business is takeout, so I wouldn't worry about getting a table even on weekend evenings. The service was friendly, though a bit on the slower side, understandable given they had a lot of takeout orders going at the same time. I had the pad gra prao for my meal which was solid. Nothing to write home about, but was a good amount of food for the price. The star of my experience was the peanut juice. Weird drinks usually catch my eye on a menu and this was right up my alley. Much more of a peanut milk, it's blended up peanuts (there are some chunks at the bottom) in milk with cane sugar. It didn't taste overly sweet, if you're a peanut person this is a must try. Overall, it's a solid spot and worth trying for the peanut juice alone. There are stronger Thai options in the area, but if you find yourself in a situation like we were in, where Nori had too long a wait time and we didn't want to spend too much effort thinking of an alternative, this is a reasonable option right next door

This is my go-to pad see eiw spot near campus! I love the food and the portions are amazing! The lady waitress is amazing and so nice, other guy waiter was weird about a valid coupon we had. Other than that very yummy!

not a bad spot! open late and relatively good prices. we got chicken pad see ew and it was enough for two people to share. thai tea was a bit watered down but not too sweet.

Chicken Pad Thai

Pad Thai is pretty standard. It's what you would expect! There's no oddities, but I would love a bit more chicken and seasoning throughout. The shrimp egg rolls were warm, crispy, and decent as well. As for price, this place will not break the bank. Give it a try! Cheers

Basil Fried Rice with Chicken

We came here for a late night dinner and had a great time. We were the only ones there, but service was incredible. They checked up on us multiple times to make sure everything was good. The food came really fast, and the prices are very reasonable. Basil Fried Rice with Chicken: We got level 2 spiciness, and it had the perfect amount of kick for me. I really enjoyed this dish. The cucumber on the side was fresh and crunchy. Pad Thai with Beef: The sauce was really flavorful (on the sweet side). We also got level 2 spiciness for this dish. However, the beef was a bit dry, so I would recommend trying a different meat with it.

I ate here years ago and wasn't impressed, but I've been ordering takeout recently, and it's been excellent! I decided to give dining in another try, and I'm glad I did. While the restaurant has a bit of a liminal space vibe, the food has been consistently delicious. The curry, pad see ew, and spring rolls are standout dishes. If you tried this place in the past and weren't thrilled, I highly recommend giving it another chance--you won't be disappointed!

Shrimp Spring Rolls - do NOT get. $7 for two small rolls with one piece of shrimp each.

Parking & Service: Arrival was stress-free thanks to the massive parking lot in the strip mall. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. The Spice Factor: Interestingly, they offer two spice tiers: 1-10 and 10-15. We usually prefer a heavy heat, but found that levels 8 and 9 were still relatively mild. If you're a true spice lover, you might want to venture into the double digits! The Food: Portions are very generous and perfect for family-style dining. Everything was flavorful, though my one small note for the kitchen is that some dishes leaned a bit heavy on the salt. Overall, a great spot with big flavors.

The service has always been great--servers are attentive, friendly, and quick to clear plates, which we've always appreciated. It's part of why we kept coming back. We usually order the fried pompano, and it's always been a favorite. But the last couple of times, the fish has been noticeably smaller--like almost half the size it used to be. That was already a letdown. What really did it for us, though, was finding a plastic to-go cup lid inside one of our drink glasses. It was buried in there, and completely threw us off. At that point, we were just done. It's a bummer because we've liked this place for a long time, but between the smaller portions and that experience, we won't be coming back.

It was made with a black rice that actually looked kind of blue, which made it really visually fun. Maybe least flavored pad see that I've ever had. I had to ask for salt and chili oil to give some flavor but even that didn't work out. I used my leftover peanut sauce from the garden rolls and finally, FLAVOR! Portions are small, I'm leaving still hungry.

It's perfectly poached, incredibly tender, and paired with fragrant rice that's rich without being greasy. It also comes with a decadent bowl of soup. I usually start with the chicken skin appetizer, which iss dangerously addictive. It's crispy, light, and comes with dipping sauce. The combo plate is the way to go if you want to try the poached and fried chicken. You get a variety of textures and flavors, both juicy and crunchy. Both sauces are great to dip in and the chicken goes great with the rice. If you can handle spice, the boat noodles are a great option too. The broth is complex and spicy, with tender noodles and well-seasoned meat. The spiciness is definitely a build up, but the broth is so good you can't stop drinking it. Overall, P Thai's is a great spot for lunch or dinner. Plenty of seating inside with some outside, nice staff that explain everything, and a great spot to share food. That said, it was honestly delicious, just not what I expected. One thing to note: they don't really do modifications, so just be prepared to order things as-is. I also have to give them credit for the outdoor seating area because it's such a nice setup. It's dog-friendly, shaded, spacious, and they even have a self-serve water station. My only critique is that I think the portions are a bit small for the price point. Still, I'd recommend checking it out.
