With an service fee of $150 for basic fan installation and a dusting, you would think when they say at $49 a fan you would be getting decent fans right? Think again, I was given 4 $13 Antec fans. Pack of 4 at bestbuy goes for about $50. While I understand the shop has to make a profit, selling $13 fans for $49 while already charging $150 for a fan installation and a dusting is predatory on the consumer. The people inside are friendly, but beware of the price gouging, and beware of paying much more than what anything is actually worth, including the products, and the service. On top of that the rear end ventilation of the case still had dust on it. Grand total was $380 for a four fan installation (lower end fans) and a dusting. Disgusting

I employed "Skals IT" to speed up my laptop and fix the "no sounds" out of speakers or headphones…read moreissue it recently had. Had happened in the last two days, were working and just suddenly stopped working. But did work to an external source like extended screen. The good - he accessed my laptop by remote connection and he cleared a lot of bloatware with CC Cleaner free version. And did get my laptop to run better. But he couldn't get my sound to work on on speakers or headphones and after uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek drivers a few times, he stated that the sound-card must have failed on the laptop, which either requires a used motherboard to be fitted (because new aren't available) or buy a new laptop. The bad: So I did some digging and found an app called "Fortrek for windows". I paid for one year's service and "Fortrek" went right through my laptop, cleared up more junk on it AND updated every driver that was out of date. It rebooted my laptop after all processes and guess what? My sound is now working on the speakers and on the headphones perfectly.

Okay. I will keep this short. How are these people not more well-known? I got my Mac as a gift from my dad (I would have never bought such a luxurious machine for myself!), and two months into paying for it, a glass of ginger ale takes a tumble right into my computer. My immediate reaction was to teepee it over some rice and call Apple. I made an appointment with the Apple 'doctor', and 30 minutes after arriving on-time, a gentleman at the "genius bar" finally helped me, took my computer back and re-emerged five minutes later, telling me that my ONLY option was to send it away for a 'flat rate of only $755.00 to cover the cost of any components that may need replacing. I started to tear up. I'm a broke college student, two months into a $1200 purchase, being asked to spend another eight hundred. What if the repairs don't COST $800? He had no reasonable answers for me. Just: yeeahh...sorry...yeaaahh.... Feeling utterly abandoned by Apple, I searched for any chance that Kendall would have what I needed, people that are realistic about the repairs you need, and realistic about the costs. MAC WIZARDS!! I went in; Aileen was quick to ease my mind, and said that the absolute maximum I would have to spend would be $350 (they don't charge full price if they do their thing and the computer doesn't fully function), and that I would receive a call when it was finished. That was less than a week ago. They call me today to tell me that the repairs were a complete success, and my computer was fully recovered and working wonderfully! After having soda spilled on it, I just couldn't believe it. But what I really couldn't believe was the price Joel ended up quoting me: $295. Flabbergasted compared to what Apple wanted me to spend. Highlights: - Best place to fix your computer and recover your data! - They are Certified Mac and Windows Technicians - Really nice and comprehensive people - They talk to you very clear from the beginning - They check your computer for free - Very reasonable price - They fixed my computer as soon as possible (it was ready the next day!) - They always keep you posted (they are easy to reach and they always call you back to let you know what was going on) - Nice and clean office - Easy parking (free also) - They speak english and spanish My story: My Macbook Pro (2010) just stop working, and my life is my computer. I couldn't afford another day without my computer, so I needed my computer to be ready as soon as possible. I called to Apple Support to see what were my options: make an appointment (the next available was in two days) or go to an Apple Store for a walk-in support. Once I got there the walk-in were full so they coundn't help me. So I decided to look on the internet for a place that can helped me, the best option with the highest rating and really good reviews was this place (Mac Wizard Service). So I got there and they checked my computer (for free), they told me that my hard drive was damaged and there was a high probability that some of my information might be lost. When I heard that I had a mini heart attack because I had really important information in my computer. They said that they will try their best to recover everything they could, but before they asked me which documents were the most important to try to save it first. So 20 minutes after I left the store, they called me to tell me that they recovered the most important documents :). This is the place you should go to repair your computer. I cant stress enough how honest and helpful this people are. they pretty much saved my mac book pro after accidentally spilled liquid on it. not only that but they were able to do a backup of my files just in case something happen while working on repairing the machine. Joel is one of the most caring trustworthy guy I have ever met in business, he was very honest and upfront about the situation, really explaining extensively the process and what they will be doing on the machine. he was genuinely concerned about my situation and he even offer some alternatives for the worse case scenarios giving me a lot of peace of mind. They tested the machine thoroughly and were able to leave if functioning 100% after a very severe damage to the logic board. IMPRESSIVE! and the cost was also incredibly reasonable for a repair of this magnitude. Not only they have the technical skills and knowledge but they are incredibly honest people, i can see their motivation is not just to make profit they truly want to help their customers and support them through this difficult process. They also checked my old macbook air to see if the battery needs replacement and cleaned the machine at no extra cost. I will be recommend this place to anybody, I can't be more grateful for all they have done. literally they saved my job. read more

Upon seeing nice reviews from this shop I decided to give them a try. I had a 2010 MacBook Pro and a white iPad 2 that needed a fix. After getting to place I must confess I was little concerned with the office size and location. When I started describing my problem the guy seemed very confident and knew exactly what the problem was. He didn't even charge me to take a look at the computer. I was impressed how polite and professional the guy was. My problem is that I had a bad LCD (as I feared). I had previously already tried to replace the video cable (for those who have done this know how complicated the process is). The guy told me that I was pretty experienced and told me: "dude, I'm not going to let you spend about 200 bucks on the LCD replacement. If you got the video cable replaced, the LCD will be a piece of cake". I knew he was right. I then asked him if he would sell me the LCD replacement part and he told me: "here is my supplier name on amazon. You can get it cheaper from him, it costs about 50 bucks". I had to give the place a 5 stars after this. We then went on talking about the new macs, new software as I love in depth discussions in this subject. He definitely knew what he was talking about. I must say this is not just a parts replacing facility. They are truly specialists. Awesome place hands down. read more

So my macbook crashed on me a few weeks ago.. i panicked & did some research on-line on where to get it fixed. I called a few places but they weren't really knowledgeable on what could've been the issue. They urged that i take it to get diagnosed but that there would be a charge. I then came across PC wizard & spoke with Joel & Aileen & they offered an extensive explanation on what the issue could most likely be. I brought it in & immediately felt that they were being 100% honest in diagnosing the problem!! Not only did they repair my macbook but they also did everything possible to keep it running like a brand new computer. When your computer dies, it is hard to stay calm. All you want is someone who can fix it. I found the at Mac Wizard after being turned away form the Apple store and another place that services macs. Joel reassured me that everything would be OK -- and it was. He got my 17-inch macbook pro working in no time, even though the other places told me it was a "vintage" machine that was either impossible to fix or just not worth it. Joel understands the innards of the computer, and was able to repair and restore it. Plus, he added features in an effort to prevent the problem from recurring. The customer service was outstanding, and I really appreciate that his gola was to fix my machine, not to convince me to buy a new one. I will be a customer for life! read more

Now that guys do iPhone repair. I brought my laptop to get fix and tech noticed my broken iPhone 6, he said i can repair it for you in 15 minutes. And I can`t believe that, he gave my iPhone, but with brand new screen, applied tempered glass screen protection on it and give me 6!!!!!(SIX) MONTH OF WARRANTY! THANK YOU GUYS, SEE YOU MONDAY! Then I found this hidden gem in Hollywood, Fl: The Tech Shop! There's no hidden fees and the person who owns the store is a great person. He took my computer and told me he'll call me about what's needed. Without a diagnostic fee, he told me what needed to be done. Then in only a day, the computer was fixed. My computer has been working great ever since. Turns out it was something simple as a BIOS update and a clean-up. However, there were no hidden fees and the price was great. Heck, I would even pay more if he had asked. I would recommend this store to anyone who has issues with his/her computer and want to avoid spending as much as a new computer.

I researched smaller independent companies in the Fort Lauderdale area. I hoped to receive more personalized service and created a short list. I made phone calls and inquired about computer replacement and configuration. When I called BBM Tech Computer Solutions the call was immediately answered by Brandon Mannie. I explained what I desired. He asked questions about the functions used on the computer. He listened and told me he would send me an eMail explaining hardware options in addition to options and suggestions. Immediately I made my decision to work with Brandon and BBM. We talked. I made a hardware decision. A acceptable bill of charges was presented to me. I agreed and the desktop replacement was initiated. I happily paid the deposit requested and Brandon acquired the new desktop computer. Off site he then preformed the necessary software loading and configurations. At the agreed upon date and time, Brandon arrived with the new hardware. He seriously worked moving the files from the old desktop to the new. He made sure the applications, profiles, related data and other necessary items were on the new computer and working properly. This computer exchange also included moving from Windows10 to Windows11. Brandon described some of the differences and was patience with the questions I had about this new operating system. I am most impressed by the professionalism and skills I experienced by BBM. I was encouraged to call them if I ever have questions. They are willing to do post installation support. Like I mentioned above, after more decades in the IT business, I am most impressed by BBM . If you have a computer issue or need to upgrade your system, contact this company and you will not be disappointed. I admit that I seldom recommend things from books to restaurants to motion pictures to anything, BUT I wholeheartedly will recommend BBM Tech Computer Solutions. Erica waited on me and said no problem it will be about an hour. Left and came back but she was still working on it, it was a mess. A nice seating area inside so just relaxed. She also added a screen protector for me, mine was broken and can't reuse them. Lo and behold before I could post the review, less than 24 hours I came home from work and I dropped the phone . It hit just under the side were the screen protector was not all the way down and my cover is flush with my phone. Apparently the screen protector wasn't cracked which I thought that was it, it was the phone underneath. Oh boy, back to the store. Erica was not there and I was told it is not covered and he will see what he can do to ask the manager but parts not in anyway until mid week, so I waited until the next day to reach Erica. I showed her the phone and she said they have seen that happen when phone breaks underneath even though I have never had that happen other than when the screen protector was broken then broke the phone. Much to my dismay , I will be paying again, but she did say I only have to pay half just for the screen and not the labor, the best they can do so will wait until midweek. They have phone accessories and electronics you can purchase just not for my older phone alot of iphone stuff. It is located in the Promenade in Coconut Creek. The parking close y on busy times not always available but can always go to parking garage and walk there. Had a terrible experience here today. Had a cracked screen on my iphone 16 pro and went in for a…read morescreen repair. I asked for an OLED screen because that is what's compatible with the 16 pro and he said no problem come back in 15-20 mins. I went to pick up my phone and after receiving it I noticed the screen was a bit raised and mentioned it to the tec and he said it was supposed to be like that because of the screen he put on it. he had shut the phone off to do the repair so I powered it up on my way back to my car and before I even got in there were white and green streaks going across my phone. I immediately turned around and went back in to confront the tec and the store was closed up with a sign that said "we will be back in 30 mins". After waiting over an hour for this dude to come back he tried to tell me I dropped the phone and this could only happy if there was impact. I promised him I hadn't dropped my phone and didn't even leave the stores premises before it was fucked up again. He tried to charge me an additional $200 to do the replacement again and after I told him that was bs he did it for free. 15 mins later he is done and hands me the phone back and the screen is still raised again. I asked if he put the OLED screen in like I requested and he said that they had run out of them So he just used the LCD screen they had in stock. So now I have the LCD screen on my phone and it is having all types of problems with the touch screen and display (typing random things and the brightness is going from 0-100 and 100-0 constantly, the phone is also overheating whenever I use it. I will never be going back to this place. He didn't tell me they were out of OLED screens until after he was done THE 2ND TIME. If he had told me they had no OLED screens I would have went elsewhere.

So we paid…read more$150, brought it home and my phone was overheating, we brought it back within the hour and the guy tried to charge us another $100 to put the "right" screen on it so it wouldn't overheat. He ever said anything about the type of screen or anything like that and STILL charged us $30 to put the right screen in and get my phone back. I have never ever experienced anything like this before. Absolutely the worst experience i would never go there again.
