He took the time to properly diagnose the issue and safely clean out the delicate scissor-switch mechanisms without damaging the hardware. I was so happy to find Devin and "Fix My Computer". I called on a Sunday afternoon, and Devin picked up almost immediately! I explained my issue, and Devin told me that he had seen this before, and he knew what to do. I gave him my computer's information, and he called me right back with a quote. He had to order a part, and he told me he would call me when it came in, and I could come over and wait for what he told me would be a 15 minute job once the part came in. Incidentally, he gave me the part at cost, and charged a blanket labor cost. The part arrived the next day around 6 pm, and as promised, he invited me to bring my computer right over for him to make the repair. He made the repair as promised, and found another issue that required a new AC Adapter, and he gave me a link in Amazon for me to order the part directly, which totally solved the issue! Devin did a great job replacing my laptop screen. It was cracked at the hinge and I thought the computer was history. But, he found the exact match and now I have a great glass screen on my laptop. The price was fair and he was very transparent through the whole process. He kept me informed every step of the way. I felt very confident that he know what he was doing. My laptop has the touch screen and the ink feature so I was concerned about getting all the features. He assured me that the new screen would be as good as new. If you are looking for a professional that not only stands behind his work and is totally committed to delivering high performance repairs to your home or business computer system then avoid using FIX MY COMPUTER at all costs as the owner/IT computer repair person, DEVIN, is a 28 year old kid with limited computer repair skills and absolutely no professional ethics. I first contacted him on Sunday, June 17th, 2018, as I was having ongoing problems with Windows 10 and was unable to open my computer and arranged for him to come to my home the very next day at 2 PM but he never showed and never called and when I called him he stated that he was still involved with another repair and that he had meant to say that he would be leaving that repair at 2 PM but that did not occur. He called me at 4 PM to tell me that he had to help his brother and he would be over by 5 PM but he did not call until 6:30 PM and I asked to be rescheduled for Tuesday, 6/19/18 at 12 PM but again he did not show until 2 PM and did not call either. He worked on the computer for 30 minutes and then left stating that the computer was in self-repair mode and he would return at 6:30 PM but did not return until 8:30 PM and again set the computer on self-repair and told me it would be fixed by 11 PM and I would be able to use it. He also stated that he was leaving the very next day on vacation and would return on 6/27/18 and be back to finalize the repair work on the morning of 6/28/18. My computer was still out of commission after self-repair ended at 1 AM on 6/19/18 and I called him as he stated that his services were available 24/7. He initially stated that he would come over at 2 AM and then asked if he could come before 8 AM Wednesday morning, 6/20/18, before he left on vacation but he never arrived and never called and when I finally called him once again he promised to arrive by 9:30 AM. He came and performed the same repairs that he had done previously and told me to call him at 10:30 AM on his cell phone and he would walk me through getting on the computer after it had finalized and I asked him if he had any people working with him if I still needed help and he gave me the names of his 2 co-repair people and stated that a secondary computer would be lent to me if the repair did not work and that I should call his backup people. I tried calling him at 10:30 and he never picked up the phone and my computer still did not operate and when I called his co-workers there was no secondary computer for me and they had never received any instructions from him. I've never heard from Devin again and he never showed up on the morning of 6/28/18 as he had promised and were it not for the following repair person that I contacted on 6/20/18 my computer would still be inoperable thanks to Devin and his computer repair company; FIX MY COMPUTER. Even the website shown in his listing belongs to someone else in another state so you never know if he ever really is going to connect with you. If not for the the followup response and very affordable repair services provided the very same day that I called from the COMPUTER FRIENDLY GURU that I found on YELP on 6/20/18 my computer would still be inoperable due to the extremely poor services provided by DEVIN and his ' FIX MY COMPUTER ' company. read more

WOW. Hands down one of the most honest and humble people I have had the pleasure of meeting and doing business with. He is extremely affordable and VERY fair. He cares more about his customers than his own pockets, which again, is extremely RARE. OUTSTANDING!!! This gentleman, Devin, is a very humble and down to earth professional BUT more like a computer engineer genius!!! Let me explain. I brought my Blackberry in for him to fix it so I could get my photos off the phone. Sounds easy enough right? EXCEPT, it had been run over in the street by two semi-trucks, 114 automobiles, left outside in a puddle, rained on for more than 48 hours before i found it smashed on the side of the highway. The glass was smashed into sand particles held together by adhesion. The phone was literally half the thickness that it once was. Computer circuits and wires were poking through the outer case. (NO I had never backed it up nor used a memory card. ALL the memory and photos were on the device's own hard-drive). Before bringing it here, i had taken into 14 computer repair stores, 3 Blackberry Service Centers and 11 smart phone / cell phone repair shops. At least 5 stores laughed at me! 3 stores thought I was playing a practical joke. ALL said it was impossible to retrieve anything from it and hopeless to fix!!!! BUT the photos And video I had on there were priceless to me and could not be replaced due to the parties being deceased! I was prepared to pay anybody $500 to get those photos and video off of there! There were 3 companies who attempted and failed. All 3 were BB Service Centers--but they couldn't do it! Only this company that I found on YELP was able to do it. It took him a week to research the circuits, design and engineering but he finally was able to fix it to the point of retrieving intact ALL my photos and video in perfect condition and down load onto a USB drive. Now, get this!!! His charge for doing what nobody else could or would dare to try was only $50!!! $50 and only if he was successful!!! I gave him $150. Again, this guy is a computer-smart phone engineering genius AND honest!!! I rate him AAA+ AND 5 STARS!!!! This was the GREATEST Christmas gift I could get---the successful retrieval of those photos and video!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more
