The hinge on my older HP laptop broke, or so I thought. Go It Tech was close to where I live (John Knox Village) and it's reviews were good so I decided to go there. It was the right decision. The manager, Francisco Estevez, explained to me and then showed that the problem wasn't the hinge, but the frame it was attached to under the back cover. If left as is the screen would eventually break. He gave two choices to fix it, replace the cover for over $100 plus the installation cost of $80, and at least a week's wait, or, if I didn't mind having two very small screws visible on the back of the case, $80 and I could wait while it was being fixed; 45 minutes later I left with the repair done. Unbelievable that in this day and age I got to talk to a real person! I am still in shock. My beloved printer developed a paper jam and then a mechanical problem when I cleared it. I brought my computer here after being a victim of social engineering. I was afraid there was malware on my machine even though I had ran scans on my computer. Figure I'd take it to a professional. Let me tell you.. Francisco IS that professional! He diagnosed my computer, showed and assured me there was no malware on the machine and I left very assured. He's also very nice and told me that he can wipe my hard drive, but there would be no point when there's no viruses detected and that he; "didn't want to steal my money" as these hackers had already done. It's nice to see there are good and honest people left in this world. The turn out was fast as well! I was there for about 10-15 minutes. The shop is nice. There's a couch with some magazines, as well as a small selection of Apple/android accessories. The shop also sells anti-virus. I have always been hesitant about taking my laptop to any repair place because I think they're out to charge the highest price for repairs. Well, I encountered a different experience at this establishment. I dropped my laptop and have been handling it gently under the premise that I would get it repaired "soon" because the right side of the screen was loose. A couple of weeks later, the screen started to crack in that same corner and I was forced to act. I found this establishment through Yelp and was amazed at all the positive reviews and the fact that it was close to my home. Francisco provided me with first class service. He gave me my options of a full-on repair, screen included and the cost OR a temporary repair that should last for another year or so. I was tempted to go with the full-on repair before he showed me the how much my laptop was selling for today. I liked the amount of time that he took with me and helped guide me to the right decision when it came to repairing my laptop. His prices are reasonable and my laptop was ready for pickup the same day I dropped it off. I am happy to say that I have found a permanent repair place for my computers for both my hardware and software issues. I was visiting my in-laws in FL and my HP laptop screen went black. I took it to this shop the guy carefully worked on my laptop, he made no mistakes, knew exactly what to do, and fixed my laptop with no problem. Very pleased with the service and price. Very friendly. But, I paid a lot of money for diagnostics, and basically got nothing for it. In the very least, they could have applied the diagnostic fee towards the repairs. But, (as a special favor) they offered to take my iMac off my hands and give me back the $180 or credit half of the $180 towards a new hard drive, which was marked up an additional $100 over MSRP. Just think I could have just given them my iMac, which they would have repaired and sold. What a deal!! read more

Very honest. Which is hard to find in computer repair. He could have charged us a bunch of money to fix something that would be an ongoing problem, no matter what, because it was a manufacturer defect. Instead, he kept it honest and offered $200 credit for our old laptop towards a new laptop that we've been using for months and have no complaints about. They're quick, have great prices, and it makes you want to go back because they have good customer service. It's a list art they clearly have captured. Brought in a laptop that had the bottom corner splitting apart from the keyboard and the split was getting bigger. Francisco offered 2 solutions ---order a new bottom or do an in-house fix. He showed me a picture of the in-house fix that he had done on a prior laptop. Since fix was very, very reasonable and about 1/3 the cost of the new part, I went with it. Went in for cell glass replacement on iPhone at cost of 65.00. Was going to use either a 40% first time coupon that was available on yelp or a $30 for $50 coupon also available. This company wouldn't accept either although there was nothing posted on either offer to say the coupons were not accepted for anything other than computer work. Had a really good experience here today with Francisco. My Ring Central VOIP phone was taking too long to display incoming calls. Francisco made an adjustment to my AVG security software that was apparently causing the problem. He said overall my older netbook was in good shape but as I know it doesn't have the latest processor/memory capacity, etc. He made a few other changes to how the netbook starts up and it definitely boots up faster now. We did a test call to my VOIP and it displayed the call much faster. I was in the shop at least a half hour while Francisco also worked with another walk in customer and fielded several other customer phone calls. I offered up my credit card and he did not want any payment but I insisted he take at least $25 as he had really helped me out of a jam. As others have said, he could have told me the computer needed a clean out, etc. but he didn't. It was apparent that their reputation is important to them. I couldn't be happier and would go back in a heartbeat. read more
