Rather disappointed. The items I was shopping for didn't have a price tag or shelf tag. I located a store employee who had a zebra to give me a price. He was on his phone on a personal call and ""shished" me. He continued on his personal call for another minute. He got off the call and gave me attitude when asking for a price. I asked where some items were in the the store. He pointed in a general direction, said over there and started to walk off. I asked could he provide better directions since where he waved his hands constituted half of the store. He replied go look, you'll find it. As you can imagine, I left! read more

Literally one person working there, at least on the floor - and he was also working the cash register. One person. He couldn't get the theft device off an item, which caused a long delay. Then he started throwing - literally smashing - items we purchased into a container we also purchased. Poorly managed and insufficiently staffed. Not sure how this chain stays in business. read more

The black bald manager there is completely unprofessional. People waiting 45 minutes to an hour to make copies. He was rude and completely inappropriate. Great place for office accessories and supplies, their selection is not the greatest though....I swear I can find more wireless charger options at Walmart than at Office Depot now.... Normally, I would use the self-print area, but I had a special project and wanted to know if I could do it there. Often, the print center has only one person working and a line of customers waiting. I was patiently waiting for my turn as the young woman, Trinity, was doing her best despite the growing line. When the day store manager came over to assist, it was like inviting a bull into a China shop. The manager was a bit rude and made assumptions, which increased tension in the line. Trinity did not let that throw her off; she remained calm, handling the customers with respect and grace. She went above and beyond to help me. All signs of a great leader. I wanted her to have her flowers and told the evening manager how great she did. Unfortunately, I could not provide this compliment to corporate because there is no place on the website or in the store to do so. Trinity, well done! Keep up the great work! Short and sweet review -- they are all pretty much the same. This one, however, is a bit larger than my former store. The Office Depot nearest me closed -- I used to go there often as it was so convenient. Now not so much, as since COVID, I've cut back on most of my consulting jobs. I needed to get some new special file folders so here's where I wound up -- the next closest Office Depot. I still have my company account; and I like that they give you credit for recycling ink cartridges which I'm happy to do. And did so when I came here. Plus I receive their mailings which include discount coupons. They were not very busy when I stopped by. Was able to walk around and search for what I needed on my own -- no real customer service. But that was fine. And check out was fairly fast -- although I had to remind him to credit me for my returned (recycled) printer ink cartridges. Guess this will be my new Office Depot for future. read more

8/31/22 My HP Office jet 8628 printer needed replacing so I went online, to Office Depot, in Pompano Beach, as they had the 8035e in stock, which I wanted. Abraham R. was more than helpful and showed me that model on display and, luckily, there was one left in stock, which I purchased. Justin F. was very helpful, in putting the box into a cart for me. Days later, Justin showed my wife and I some nice office office chairs, which we are considering. All in all we were very happy with our purchase of a terrific HP Officejet 8035e printer. Setup was a breeze and it is working great, along with the wireless capability. Finally, we are even more impressed with the courteous customer service we received from Abraham R. and Justin F. The both represent your Company in 5 star fashion and you can be very proud of them. They are the type of employees that quality Companies would love to have on staff, hard working and conscientious. Office Depot is a quality Company that we all respect. Anyone wanting great office products and superior service, always comes to your stores and is so happy with the experience. People in here are excellent! Copies are inexpensive and they have always been helpful with the operation of their machines. They also can convert your photos into artwork. I gave my GF a picture of us and it only costs $30 bucks! I can't say the same for all locations but these people here in Boca are on point! read more

Usually come here with no problem however, today on staff was a nightmare of a so called senior manager. An associate was helping a customer as I was waiting for the associate to become available Steve the senior manager decided to assist the associate by attempting to solve my inquiry. Steve walked up to me and asked how can he help me as I started to state my problem and let him know. That I've been standing at the printer for about 10 minutes and the printer seems to be jammed as it kept stating calculating. Your total I then I wasn't comfortable swiping my card again as had already took $15 out of my account for only three papers. He then became very hostile and aggressive towards me I didn't let him know that this is not good customer service and that he needs to show more customer service as I am a concerned customer instead of helping me he walked away and then told the associate that was supposed to help me from the start to charge me $2.50 for a black and white paper. I didn't spoke to the associate and let him know that his manager attitude was very disgusting and that no one should be treated like this especially someone that's spending their heart working money. The associate showed a lot of empathy and provided me with the car. I am now contacting the headquarters of Office Depot. Because this is about principles I wouldn't ever want anyone to experience today. read more

This is a strange Office Depot. Though they recently renovated it and changed the staff they seem to have invested a lot of time and money only to turn what was a marginally acceptable store into one of the worst. Last time I was there, and the only customer in the store. I asked "Where are your calendars?" to which I got the response of "Maybe we have them in the back" with no offer to show me where they were or even to advise me whether or not they even had any calendars. I'm usually use to a more definitive answer of a yes or no about having an item, a specific direction or, especially when the only customer in the place, an offer to guide me to the exact location in the store, however, I was offered none of that. Further, this is but one example of a series of less than helpful experiences I've endured at this Office Depot location. I only stop here because it's next to one of the Publix where I do my grocery shopping. I'd never go out of my way to go here. read more

Quick stop in to grab some protective cases for my portable/external hard drives. I was greeted promptly when I entered the store. After I told the employee what I was looking for, he immediately assured me they may carry the cases online but not in that store. I asked to look at the hard drives they carry, which he walked me over to, explained the sales, and left me to look. As I looked around trying to see if I could adapt any of the CD cases they had to my use, I found 3 hard drive cases hanging on a peg in the corner! Right across from the external hard drives! I got them all, but never saw the employee again to let him know they actually do stock the cases! Check out was also quick and friendly. I've always preferred Office Depot over the other chains of office supply retailers. Super convenient with lots of locations, seems like there's always one close by. I was in need of a new laptop bag. I shopped online but discovered that's not a great idea for an item like this because I prefer to see the options in person and select the one best for me. Great selection of laptop bags to pick from. Backpack or traditional over the shoulder options, options to fit whatever size laptop you have. Casual, sporty or stuffy business, with wheels or without, a variety of colors, there's plenty to choose from. There's even options for the most frugal shopper. I found my bag and headed for the counter. I deducted 1 star for poor checkout staffing. By the time I was ready there was a line of 4-5 ahead of me and building quickly. I saw the cashier use her wireless communication device to call for additional help. The only problem, no one responded. The lil old lady with the coin purse out finally paid and cleared and things sped up but still a 10-12 minute process to checkout. Customer service seems to have improved a bit over my last few visits in the past 12 months. I was offered assistance on my visits and greeted at the door. Atmosphere is warehousy and a bit grim. Teacher rewards program was easy to sign on to and seems ok. The items I go for are typically a yearly agenda, a book of stamps, and ink and toner. I recently was having computer problems and stopped in the OD in Pompano Plaza at McNab and Federal Highway. I hit the jackpot!! Kevin King explained how he could help me by cleaning up my whole system. He explained everything in a way that my non-techie brain could understand. Couldn't exchange damaged by shipping items without a receipt. Half of items ordered online come damaged by poor packing. Had an item to return but needed another, said to hold and do exchange. Girl returned it and I couldn't use credit to get new item. Company card holder was not working so needed the exchange credit. Management couldn't reverse transaction, which was specifically requested as an exchange one item for another.....not difficult but the staff here is quite incapable!!!! Went home empty ganded of what the office needed amd still damaged shipped items. Do not put trainees on register till they know how to do transactions. Strangest customer service ever... Emailed 2 docs to be printed, have worked with many different Office Depot locations over the years+ and never such non interested, rude service. Manager showed up, couldn't be bothered either? How odd? There was one person who humbly watched the staff at the printer meander and do nothing ... and Jeremy stepped in, finally I got my very small printing order, left as soon as I could, after being there for over 35 minutes . Worst experience ever. I'm a student who prints a lot of stuff at office supply stores, but I've never had an experience like this. The staff goes out of their way to 100% ignore you - you literally have to yell "excuse me!" Like an obnoxious jerk to even get them to come help you. It took them over 40 minutes to print my class lecture notes for me. First they said I had to email it to them and couldn't just pull it up on the computer from my email. Fine, okay. I emailed them, and they said "we didn't get the email." And walked away. I re-emailed it, flagged an employee down again, and then they said the email wouldn't download and just wandered away again. Literally just walked away while I stood there at the counter like "ok, now what?" When i finally got them to come back and try again, the girl got it to download and then clicked print and walked away again. Mind you, the store was not busy at all. The print finished and my documents were just sitting there but nobody would come pick them up and check me out. I stood at the counter waiting for somebody to come back and get my papers off the printer for 10 minutes. I finally had to go seek out an employee (again) to get my papers off the printer and let me pay. Lazy employees. read more

Awful, awful, awful. If you need to print anything school or business related they are totally incompetent. Staff does not care one iota how important your documents are or how quickly you need them. Have been in on several occasions with anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours to spare and they still cannot get all of my documents printed properly. And I rush out feeling unprepared and like I just wasted my money. When in university it didn't have as big of an impact as it does now. I could always retouch or some times it was just a preliminary turn in of an assignment. But now as a working professional I will not be back. I have been in twice and when I ask for a different type of paper that holds things up about 10 minutes. Staff gives me a look like you mean you want me to show you different types of paper? Let me help these 10 other people while you look, then go to the back of the line you already spent 10 minutes in. If you doing crafts at home and have an afternoon to kill, they might be the stop for you, but otherwise forget it, will be using it home printer and buying paper elsewhere. Oh, and they never offer your flash drive back. And if you forget to ask for it, it'll be gone when you go back. Losing any and all important documents that were on it. read more
