I've relied on Staples for years for all my supplies, ink, paper, etc, have purchased laptops, printers, and other computer-related supplies... office chairs too. This is the closest store to me, and it has served me well since I've relocated to Florida. Pricing is sometimes higher than you find at other places, but they will match the price of the large legitimate retailers, as well as AZ. What makes this particular location so great is their manager, Kodac... he is knowledgeable about all their products and procedures... and such a nice guy as well. So glad he always seems to be here. Staples usually has higher prices than Walmart on art supplies and craft items, but the good thing is that their selection and inventory is much better, so chances are, you will be able to find what you are looking for. This review is all about the service at Staples. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to deal with them. I ordered ink cartridges online from Staples. One of them didn't work properly, so I went to the store to exchange it. I was expecting a hassle. Happily, I had no issues whatsoever as the customer service rep quickly & easily made the exchange. While there I saw an office chair, so I went back a few days later and had another great experience purchasing the chair. I was second in line to pay and the manager noticed that a line was forming so he quickly instructed a rep to open another check-out line. After my transaction was complete, the manager offered to take the big box containing my chair out to my car. As we were walking out, the manager asked me if I wanted a small wall-mounted desk/shelving unit for free that had been on display at the entrance of the store. "Free is good", I thought, so I accepted the unit and the manager loaded it into my car. Once I got home, I realized that I didn't have a place for it, so I donated it to a charity. Good karma for everyone! The type of great customer service I experienced at Staples seems rare these days. They are now my favorite office supplies store. If you're going for TWIC or TSA check don't bother with this location. They don't actually provide walk-in appointments as stated on the website. Basically wasted my time and offered no help other then "make an appointment" which all fall within the time frame I have classes, hence why I was trying to walk-in......1 employee actually working while another two sat there chatting....but somehow to "busy" to do a walk in..... read more

The worst Staples ever. They can't process simple transactions that I've done in about a dozen other Staples, including other ones in FL. Pretty sure the guy at the cashier dropped out of middle school, he was that dumb. Then when he called the manager, he asked everything rhetorically. I blame both the manager for this and for hiring the buffoon in the first place. Waste of time and the deal expired as I didn;t have time to go to another one that day. Complete fail. read more

I came to the Staples Print Center being very grumpy from a horrible starting day. Ready for bear! Had a poster print job but the picture was not correctly downloaded. We had to start from scratch with my computer and phone and I am computer challenged. I was stressed, tired, feet hurting, on my last breath. The print angel GILBERT saved me! He knew how to download the photo and do all the other computer magic, and made me 2 gorgeous posters. They are spectacular! He told me the day may have started badly, but "we, as a team, will end it in happy triumph." And he did! Gilbert was patient, efficient, knowledgeable, steady, and got the job done. I was so grateful to him and thank all the folks in the print shop that had to put up with me. Part of the ink in my printer was defective. I bought it the end of November 2021. When I put it in my printer last night it said the cyan color was defective. I went to the Boynton Beach store today and the manager gave me a new one at a discounted price. That kindness saved me a lot of money for which I am entirely thankful. I never go to Staples , I'm an Amazon shopper, but my husband wanted to get a chair, desk and printer and he wanted to actually see / touch what he was buying. Who does that? Lol. We wandered back to the furniture section and we were greeted by Brian . I'm a " no thank you" wander through the store unassisted type of shopper. My husband wanted to avoid that and accepted Brian's offer of help. So glad he did. Brian was knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and ever so helpful. When we finished selecting everything he walked us to the register. It was so refreshing to be attended to by such a competent, intuitive and friendly individual. read more

Worst customer service ever. Apparently, no one there knows how to use anything in the store by the copy area or cares about their job. My husband designed and ordered business cards online. After driving out twice, he resubmitted the order because they couldn't find it by name or order number. An employee called back several hours later (the day after they were supposed to be ready) and said they found it, for some reason it went to the West Palm store on Okeechobee (is there one there even?!), and the cards will be ready the next day (Sunday) by 11am. We have been out there two times now. We drive back to the store (3th drive out and several calls later now) - cards still not ready. The lethargic uninterested female employee behind the counter says we can come back at 2 and they should be ready. No apology, nothing. It was as if we were the problem to her, not her own incompetence (or the whole stores incompetence, who knows). They were supposed to be ready Friday - It is now Sunday. Come back a 4th time? No thanks. Lady - you are so far behind because every time we've been in the store no one is working at the copy center! No wonder they seem to closing left and right. We are going to Office Depot - they may be slow but at least they try to do everything in their power to get it right and in a professional, friendly manner - never going back to any Staples because of this. This store was dreadful. We asked for an assistant to help us with something. He said he can't help he has to go to the front desk and off he went. No other staff member in sight. I went to the ladies bathroom. Dreadful. None of he toilets had been flushed, menstruation and blocked toilet. Papers all on the floor. The facilities were disgusting. My husband went to the men's bathroom and he said they were in the same condition. Totally unhygienic!! I will NEVER visit this store again. read more

Annie in the shipping/printing department was phenomenal. I went once and needed to ship two giant boxes of things and was in a rush. She helped me pack everything up and got me out the door in zero time. I went again a couple weeks ago and Annie was there again. She assisted us in sending out another shipment, she went above and beyond. She was happy and helpful and wonderful. My husband and I ran to Dunkin Donuts next door and bought her a GIANT coffee. Very slow service in Print Department - specifically the gal working there. Sort of a "I don't care about what you need to print. I'll get to you when I feel like it" attitude. There was only one customer besides us, not like it was rush hour... Many people walked up after we had been waiting a while and they had looks on their faces of irritation as well because clearly she was not putting out any effort to hurry. Stay away from the protection plan on any item you purchase . Its just another way for them to make chump change. I recently purchased a chair and it was faulty . I couldn't return it and they said to got through the protection plan. Complete and utter BS. Asurion counldnt except the faulty chair because it wasnt covered under the plan. I have been using their lamination and cutting for a planner I've been making. Every time I go in I am charged differently, and didn't really notice how off the wall their prices were until I went in one night to laminate one 8x5 piece of paper and asked them to cut it from 16x11 because their stand alone cutter was sticking and ruined one of my other pieces of paper. The man behind the counter charged me $16.95 to cut my one piece of paper! He spoke to me like I was crazy for asking why it cost so much. He said he charged me $4.00 per cut and since he cut my paper 4 times he charged me $16.95! He then brought a manager over and the manager agreed with him but then explained those prices are meant for many pieces of paper like 100+. The manager did refund me in the end but no long term solution because they aren't modifying their prices or coming up with a proper way to charge someone for cutting one piece of paper. Too bad because I really like their inventory much better than Office Depot but they way they operate their print department is enough to make me never use them again. These comments seem to go unnoticed by management but I will leave this comment for fellow shoppers. read more

Whatever happened to customer service?! Came here to send a fax and went to the self service center...I am younger customer who is versed in sending faxes making copies etc...with that being said there was one customer already being helped but no one in line...there were two employees behind the desk so I figured it wouldn't be a problem if I asked if they have cover sheets...big mistake since neither of them even picked their heads up from what they were doing. If they did they dodged eye contact like it was the plague...hey just a quick question on cover sheet...FORGET IT! Then another person came up behind me and leaned on the desk and was older and complained louder about help and got help. Basically if you want help here you need to be a squeaky wheel and complain like it's your job. I sent my fax with out a cover sheet since i didn't want to be here all night. Also they charge you $5 "pre authorization charge" to make sure your card works before you send anything so there's that charge on my card that probably won't come off...also $2.74 for a one page fax to Miami from Boynton. Overall 0 out of 10 and all though this place is 10 minutes from my house I'll go out of my way to find somewhere else the same way the employees go out of their way to ignore customers! read more

I was in the market for a new printer and decided to try the Boynton Beach Staples store located near Home Depot. I visited this store for the first time to look around get their product line to compare with OfficeDepot. It was my first visit at a Staples store. I was very impressed at the layout of the merchandise and started looking around at the printers. I must've been there for around 20 minutes looking at the various printers and since no one ever offered any assistance I went to the front where the registers are located and asked for some help. A fellow there said he would get me some help just as soon as possible and would send them over to where the printers were located. I patiently waited around for about 10 more minutes and when no one came went back up and spoke to the same fella. He indicated once again that he would call for assistance. After about 10 MORE minutes of waiting I decided that I was not going to get any assistance with purchasing a printer so I left the store to go over Office Depot where at least you can get waited on. I understand it when store personnel are busy and cannot get to everyone at once but it is always appreciated when they at least acknowledge that you are waiting to let you know that they will get to you as soon as possible. And at the time that I was visiting that store it was not busy at all. There was only 1 other car in the parking lot when I pulled up so busy they were not!! ugh :-( Kenny C read more
