So I ran all my virus protection including Malware and it still acted crazy. I asked an I.T. guy for assistance and he did his thing and told me the computer was shot and to buy a new one. To me, that was devastating as this was a new computer. The last thing I wanted to do was buy a new computer. I ended up hopping on Yelp, went into the search area, and had it send my issue out to vendors on the site. In a short time, they responded back to me, started the dialogue, and told me what the issue would be. He broke it down in simple and easy steps. When I followed it, it was exactly what he said it would be, a bad screen. Based on that, I told him to order me a screen. When the screen came in, I was called by the technician. At the store, the tech greeted me, told me he would have the computer fixed the following day. Which is exactly what he did do. Overall I am impressed by the business and the willingness to diagnose an issue without me even giving them a cent. They were fast, gave me a warranty, and I will certainly use them in the future if the need ever arises.

I was getting nowhere on a reasonable price, as most were quoting 285-300. I finally gave up and had set an appt with iTech, as they didn't have the screen in stock I was forced to wait a week, and they told me very specifically they would have it Wednesday so I had arranged for my wife to be there Thursday morning. When calling that morning to confirm, I was then told maybe they'd have it later that day, and they wanted me to wait longer. The problem was that I had already started porting all my numbers and upgrading phones over to T mobile, and I had some time set aside later in the day on Thursday to complete everything, but I needed my wife's phone to not have a cracked front screen. So I call Sam at A1 Mobile Solutions, and he tells me he has it in stock, and my wife can be there in 30mins. Perfect! As she was already up that way, which is why I had scheduled everything the way I had. I assumed this would still cause a delay in our schedule, but Sam got the job done much faster than I was quoted everywhere else (1-2 hrs) and only took him 15-20 minutes, and for a bit less $ than everyone else too! My wife and him also hit it off having a conversation about homeschooling, as he was just recently starting to consider it, and we all felt like this was serendipity. Half the reason I'm writing this review is for personal reference, so if I ever need a screen repaired again I'll be able to easily find Sam through my review history. This is completely unacceptable. It's not your decision whether something is "worth fixing"--your job is to either repair it or return it exactly as it was given. What I received back was careless, incomplete, and honestly a mess. I ended up ordering the parts myself to try to fix it, and that's when I saw just how poorly it had been handled. This level of negligence is beyond disappointing. I would not trust them with any device.

He said he was too busy to tell me. I was annoyed by his attitude but stayed calm, and he said he could order the battery and it would be there the next day by 1 pm. It was not. Did not deliver as promised, wasted a lot of my time and I had to find another shop to service my phone. Not recommended.

I bought an iPhone 6 on Offer Up from a private seller I didn't know (very risky). In about a month, the iPhone quit on me -- wouldn't start, wouldn't charge. I tried all the things I found on the internet but nothing fixed it. Had my son take it to YouBreakIFix - they gave it back saying they couldn't do anything. I was bummed - had a $300 paperweight. We then took it to Experimac in Boynton. Josh had it diagnosed in a few minutes and all it required was a new battery, which was not that costly. I'm thrilled. Will be going back to check out some of the older used Macbooks they have for my younger son who needs a laptop for school. Josh has assured me there are ones within my budget for the purpose we need it for - rather than trying to sell me something more expensive than what we need. All I can say is when Apple messed up my iPhone the folks at Expeirmac fixed it 100 percent. I thought that Apple had lost all my information and the folks at Experimac got it all back, As a concierge in the area I get a lot of customers looking to get there Apple products fixed fast. I can say that over the past few years I have sent well over 30 of my customers there and every one calls to say what a great service they have received . Worst experience EVER! Took the phone for a screen repair after going through a horrible experience with a different company. The screen was repaired but the screen started to lift not even a full 24hours after its repairs. I took the phone back to get the proper hold glue for the screen. Screen still was not held down properly. Took it back for the second time and now not even a two weeks the phone has black out and I'm being told that the company will not fix the damage. The warranty states 1 year and no damages to the screen/phone which is the case. Company is a total rip off. None of the employees asked to try and resolve this issue and they all stood around me with an I don't care look. read more

Our family is a huge fan of Experimac! We have gone to them about 4-5 times with various iPhone issues for different members of our family of 5. They have fixed problems that the AT&T store told us were impossible to resolve (such as retrieving all of the contact info from a phone that had a non-functioning screen) and given us great warranties on their work, as well as good advice on when it's worth it to fix and when it's not. I've come to like and trust them so much that I don't plan on ever buying an iPhone from anyone except them, or having one repaired anywhere else, especially since I know they stand behind their work/products. Getting information from a deceased family member's phone can be a daunting task, especially if it was a "Flip-Fone" with limited functions. These folks were kind enough to check the phone for content without a charge and offer some free compassionate advice on how to proceed further which was tremendously helpful. I had sudden issues with my MacBook Air and looked for a local place where I might find some help. I found Experimax and read a number of excellent reviews, so I made an appointment for that morning. Basically my Mac needed a new board. However, for four hundred twenty-five dollars plus my 2015 mac I purchased a refurbished a 2017 mac complete with a 1 year guarantee. Repairing my old computer would have cost four hundred dollars plus I would have been forced to wait approximately 1 week. This entire process took about 1 hour. I'm a long time resident of Boynton Beach. Had an urgent need to swap SIM cards on my iPhone11. Called the store to find out location and hours of operation. Came in to the store and the same mild-mannered young man that answered the phone waited on me. Extremely impressed with Daniel's knowledge of the equipment and skills. He answered all my questions, took the protective Otter Box cover and replaced the old SIM card in less than 60 seconds. I bought my Mac Book Pro, My daughter's I-Pad and my latest I-phone from Experimac....All gently used and reconditioned...for 1/2 of the price of new ones. They can fix any Mac or I-Pad quickly. Class organization and staff. Upon walking in, they immediately approached me to assist. I had a problem with my MACbook Pro not booting, and they diagnosed the issue immediately. They, also, found a recall that was out for my computer that resulted in a much lower cost on the repairs. Got the computer back after about 3 days, and it works so much better. I would truly recommend going to this store both for their Customer Service friendly staff as well as their Technology experts to resolve your issues with all available options at a very reasonable cost. Love 'em! When my laptop's battery swelled and it stopped working, Apple could fix it (sending to the factory - and if spill, $700+) A new one would have been at least $1000, and "not sure we can retrieve what was on the hard drive". A friend took me to Experimac, where I got a refurbished, later model for $500+, and they transferred all data in an hour. Since then, I've have phone issues, and if I call, they can and will help me over the phone, saving me a trip down there at no charge. Have dealt with several of them, and all are nice, helpful, and knowledgeable! read more

Purchased a pre-owned MacBook Pro around Christmas 2017. Josh was super helpful--guided me in getting the appropriate upgrades for what I need, tried to help set me up on my work's non-Mac friendly server (it was the firewall) and I feel like I paid a very reasonable price for a quality machine. Only problem I've had is that the power is showing 'Service Battery' so I do need to get over to the store, but I presume this should be no problem since Experimac has their 1 year warranty! I have had nothing but amazing service at Experimac. I once dropped my iPhone 6 in the water. They kept it for a few days and spent a lot of time on it. Unfortunately, it was not able to be salvanged, but even though they spent several days trying various solutions, there was no charge--just a friendly smile! A couple months ago, they purchased my iPhone 7+ for more than what Sprint would have given me. This is a great place. I first came in about a yer or so ago and thought i have to buy a new laptop because mine was failing. They said why buy a new one when we can just fix this one. What a sales person who was not trying to upset me on something i didn't need. They fixed it and its been working ever great since. I took my MacMini in because it was very hot all the time. They took it in, tested it and called me to let me know that there was nothing wrong and did not charge me. I also had another interaction with something I bought from them and, again, they called when it was installed and ready to go. Their service is top notch and friendly. After an update, somehow my Mac had locked me out and wouldn't recognize my password. I tried several things, but rather than risk making things worse or losing data I came to Experimac. One quick test to make sure the hard drive was functioning, then a safe mode start to reset my password. Done. Easy. No charge! This is a great locally owned business that needs to be supported. When the Apple store in Wellington kept extending the repair time for my MBP, I looked into other options. I was weary of having my MacBook Pro fixed by anyone except the actual store itself, but I gave Experimax a go after reading some good reviews. The guys at Experimac were incredibly helpful. I went right when they opened and they took care of my problem within minutes. They have an extremely friendly staff that tend to your needs with care. I was having an issue with my charge port on my iPhone 6, and they traced the issue right away. It turned out to be a collection of lint that they tweezed out for me at no charge. In NYC there is a saying "People don't wait in line unless it's worth it". This place was worth it. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I went in to Techy this afternoon as the back of my iphone was cracked due to an old and bad battery. I went in to Lamar who told me he could fix it no problem as well as replace the battery. While he was taking down my information, I received a phone call and Lamar heard the entire conversation and knew my phone was working just fine - there were no problems with the phone itself, just the cracked back. When I went to pick it up three hours later, it was NOT WORKING AT ALL. I asked Lamar for help several times and he told me he was too busy. I left the store and then went back in and demanded he look at it. He told me it was my carrier, I knew it was NOT the carrier as it was working just fine as I said. I ran quickly to Xfinity in the same plaza and at first they said it was not working because I had no Sim card, (Lamar removed the SIM card and did not put it back) so I ran back over and Lamar swore he did not touch the Sim card. I went back to xfinity and they were kind enough to give me a new SIM card but the phone would not work at all. They said they had never seen all the error messages, they called their top guy in to help me and he could not fix anything, he called HQ and said that TECHY definitely broke my phone and the only hope I have is the apple store. I went back to TECHY and again LAMAR would NOT look at my phone and told me I was crazy and he did not touch the card or do anything to my phone. Um, why is it now broken? I am now home at 8pm with no phone, no back up phone and will go to apple first thing in the morning. I am so upset, I should have gone to APPLE in the first place. DO NOT GO HERE - they are extremely incompetent and RUDE. I can not believe they get any good reviews. I just went in and re read the reviews and apparently I am not the only one whose phone they broke. Read the bad reviews before the good ones, I wish I had.
