It was the right decision. The manager, Francisco Estevez, explained to me and then showed that the problem wasn't the hinge, but the frame it was attached to under the back cover. If left as is the screen would eventually break. He gave two choices to fix it, replace the cover for over $100 plus the installation cost of $80, and at least a week's wait, or, if I didn't mind having two very small screws visible on the back of the case, $80 and I could wait while it was being fixed; 45 minutes later I left with the repair done. We called ahead and Vinny was the most polite person we had spoken to all day! He took my computer and told me he'll call me about what's needed. Without a diagnostic fee, he told me what needed to be done. Then in only a day, the computer was fixed. My computer has been working great ever since. Turns out it was something simple as a BIOS update and a clean-up. However, there were no hidden fees and the price was great. It hit just under the side were the screen protector was not all the way down and my cover is flush with my phone.
