I employed "Skals IT" to speed up my laptop and fix the "no sounds" out of speakers or headphones…read moreissue it recently had. Had happened in the last two days, were working and just suddenly stopped working. But did work to an external source like extended screen. The good - he accessed my laptop by remote connection and he cleared a lot of bloatware with CC Cleaner free version. And did get my laptop to run better. But he couldn't get my sound to work on on speakers or headphones and after uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek drivers a few times, he stated that the sound-card must have failed on the laptop, which either requires a used motherboard to be fitted (because new aren't available) or buy a new laptop. The bad: So I did some digging and found an app called "Fortrek for windows". I paid for one year's service and "Fortrek" went right through my laptop, cleared up more junk on it AND updated every driver that was out of date. It rebooted my laptop after all processes and guess what? My sound is now working on the speakers and on the headphones perfectly.

The original problem was purely software: the machine would power on, show the Apple logo, prompt for an update, and then restart into internet recovery and repeat that cycle over and over. Crucially, the computer did power on. When I picked it up the next day, I was told it couldn't be fixed because it was more complicated, but when I got home, it wouldn't even turn on. I discovered the battery was disconnected and a securing sticker was missing. When I questioned them, they admitted to opening the machine, which felt dishonest after they'd initially said they hadn't. While they may be proficient with other devices, I cannot recommend them for Apple products based on this lack of transparency and care. Thank you for your response, but an apology and a warranty offer do not fix the lack of honesty and professionalism I experienced. To provide more context, I discovered the issue on Friday after your business had closed. I called on Saturday, and I was told there was no time to look at it and that I should bring it back on Tuesday because Monday was a holiday. After bringing the MacBook back on Tuesday, I called around 5:30 PM to check on the status. The person at the front desk told me it was ready to be picked up, meaning it would be returned in the same condition I brought it in--with the software loop problem, but still powering on. Shortly after I mentioned in a comment that I might take the device to Apple, I was suddenly told to wait a moment, and the staff then came back to say it actually wasn't ready after all.
