These guys were lifesavers to me. My Frenchie jumped up next to me while I was working on taxes, and for some unknown reason bit the corner of my laptop that was open on my lap. I thought the whole system was affected because everything was a scrolling and flashing blur, but when I took it into PC Solutions, they assured me it was just the screen that had been damaged and they could fix that after getting a new one. Owen was great with communication, keeping me updated on the progress and they actually completed the repair sooner than expected and at a reasonable price. We have been customers of PC Solutions for many years. They revived our old Windows 10 PC numerous times, but it was finally beyond repair. Computer repair Sadly my less than 2 year old HP laptop stopped working would not boot up. I took to my usual guy no names mentioned told me would be $300-$400 to repair. My experience with this place was horrible. I brought my iMac in to have it looked at for a faint noise that to my ear sounded like maybe an internal fan that might've been clogged. He had my computer for 2 days only to say "I didn't hear the noise, oh and btw, I updated your Os for you". He did not get my permission to do this and then proceeded to gaslight me and the situation in too many ways to list here. I had to sit and hear him blather about "having worked with computers since the 90's" when confronted with this massively egregious error. I run a music production and audio mixing business and this has definitely slowed my computer to where I have projects that just simply won't open anymore. Would give 1/2 a star if I could. I was quoted between 75 to 112 $ to address my issue. Just before picking up my computer I called and asked how much because I was paying with cash. I was informed that the fee would be the higher price. When I picked up my computer I wanted to know what they had found and what they had done for the higher price. At the last minute they started adding some additional additional cleanup programs which they said they would have on my computer already and then instead of giving me simple answers to my questions over explained everything so many times that I had to repeatedly say I get it which added extra time for my being there. So the owner adds everything up and adds another hour on to the pickup price because of how long it took him to explain everything. I refused to pay the additional hour which made the owner very angry and when after taxes were added on I was short 50 cents he scornfully told me pay your bill and would not waive that 50 cents. So I had to scrounge for the additional 50 cents on the floor of my car and at the bottom of my purse. I'm not even sure that my computer problem was entirely fixed as it still runs really crappy. It was by far the worst computer repair experience I've ever had. read more

I just dropped my Dell tower off so nothing has been fixed yet, I'll update once that's done. I have to write a review because Jeff was so incredibly nice both on the phone and when I came in. He communicated very clearly what he would need to do and what the problems might be. He used great analogies so that I could understand what was going on. And I love that he said something along the lines of, "Even a race car driver needs a mechanic, you know how to drive it, I know how to fix it." So far what a great experience. Update: OK Jeff has made a loyal customer of our family. He was able to fix the problem and gave me a ton of great advice on how to keep my computer running smoothly and keep my data safe. They did the check-up first ($40) and turns out they didn't need to go down the longer route. They were able to fix it and even cleaned-up my desktop, so my laptop loads much faster. I brought my older laptop to Jeff because it had become so slow and unresponsive that I spent more time waiting for my computer than getting work done. Jeff explained how traditional hard drives wear out over time (my laptop is about 7 years old). Jeff took the time necessary to explain things to me in a way that I could understand (I use computers but don't necessarily understand how they work). Jeff replaced my old worn out HD with a new and faster SSD, transferred all information from my old HD to the new SSD, removed viruses and installed new and better anti virus software and installed all Windows 7 updates (there were many). I left my computer with him while I was on vacation and all the work was done by the time I got back (thank you very much!). I only had to plug my computer back in at home, attach my peripherals and now everything works like new and my computer is faster than it was when it was new because the SSD is faster.
