If you need data recovery, Doctor PC is fine. If you need anything else, I'd go elsewhere. I was told that my computer would take a couple of days, and that this would be a fixing of the computer - as in maintaining my programs - not a reformat / system recovery via the computer manufacturer's recovery discs. Well, instead of a day or two, it was about three or four days before they even looked at it. They couldn't fix it, and instead reformatted and ran the recovery discs -- something that frankly, I could've done on my own. Also - it was about three weeks until the system crashed again, and ended up at a different shop for repair. Beyond all this, when I would call, I was given an attitude. In fact, when I went to pick it up, I was addressed by a rude comment, "Oh, so you're the FAMOUS Mr. Myers." Really? Incredibly rude, and the woman having the audacity to say that after charging me a hefty amount and doing a not-so hot job on the computer - crazy. Again, they did do some data recovery for me on a few crapped out hard drives, and that was OK, which is why they avoided the one star review. That said, I wouldn't go there again -- look through my other reviews to see where I found that did a better job, faster, and cheaper. read more

He's a scam artist. Check out his other one star reviews. He will lie, cheat, do anything for money. He promised me windows 7 when I had XP and never put it in.He charged me for a new hard drive that should have taken 7 but no 7. He never even bothered to tell me.Partly my fault. You should never buy a bootlegged software...it could be full of viruses. He charged me for an antivirus for three computers to triple the price...I only had one. I had an excellent experience at Doctor PC. I had a computer built at a nearby business and was treated very rudely so when this computer started freezing, I called Doctor PC. Christina (the owner) answered and spent 10 mins. on the phone with me trying to narrow down the problem. I was so impressed. I have never had someone actually spend time on the phone with me before! As a photographer, I couldn't afford to be without my computer for more than a day, and they were so accomodating. They worked quickly and made me feel like I was their priority. My computer problem is FIXED and I'm very happy. In addition, Christina is spunky and fun to chat with. I will recommend this business to everyone! read more

My son and I went into this establishment after talking with a employee and explaining what we were needing done. We were assisted by Pedro a older man and he was extremely rude right away. As my son was describing the issue, Pedro was arguing with my son. We explained that we needed a quote for our monitor because it is under warranty from square trade and they would be paying for the repair or replacing our monitor. He typed up a tear down invoice and then would not give it to us.We again told him we needed a quote to send to the warranty people and he refused to give it to us. He said we must pay the $75.00 fee and leave our monitor. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

Very kind and genuine shop owner. His employee was the one to handle my case though (attempted recovery of data); he was certain he could retrieve it and told me to give him 72 hours. After a handful of days I called to see what the status report was and he had tried one program and it had been unsuccessful but he had other programs to try. I asked him to please call me with the status in a few days but I never heard from him. The next time I went to the shop the awesome zen shop owner was there (the employee wasn't) and it was clear that the employee hadn't communicated about my product so I was left to assume that he had tried all his tricks and that it wasn't recoverable. But there is something unsettling about not being contacted or kept informed; communication (or lack thereof in this instance ) created a feeling of mistrust in me, hence the three stars. read more

How nice it is to return to a company who did a fantastic job the first and second time and now bring in my husbands computer, convey my wishes they meet them graciously they finish them quickly and come into pick up and the expenses far less than you would ever expected. boy I went home happy and the computer run perfectly Doctor pc...your my other Valentine... Computer repairs are a tricky thing, especially if your computer is 4 years old and ready to go to the computer graveyard. Although, it took several trips to doctor pc to get my computer "glitch" free and operating at high speed, I would say that my experience was favorable. I say this because I was only charged for my initial visit. Christina (the owner) backed up her service above and beyond her one month warranty and continued to try to get to the bottom of my computer issues at no extra charge to me. Awesome! Best Buy couldn't transfer data from one computer to another for 3 days. Doctor PC did it overnight!

Dropped off my old and new tower computers to have data from one transferred to the other. Was told it would be ready the next afternoon. Called them late that afternoon and was told he hadn't gotten to it but would be ready the next morning and he would call. No call. Waited thru the next day....no call. Finally decided, after being a little annoyed that we would just pick them up and take them elsewhere. Left a message that we would be in to pick them up the next morning. Get there and they guy tells us they were in fact ready the day they said and that "she" left a message...NOT. Pretty pricey for the runaround we got. Used this shop many times before with great service. We won't be back and won't refer anyone to them. By the way...said I would be on YELP and he said, "I don't care about YELP". DO NOT COME HERE THIS IS NO JOKE 1 TECH NO WEEKENDS AND TECH IS ALWAYS ON HOUSE CALLS AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST Dr .PC this place has got to be kidding me brought laptop in Fri late I should have left after finding out no tech on weekend but I left it anyway assured it would be fixed Monday I called them late Monday and was told they were still working on it Tuesday morning I got a call that hard drive had crashed they wanted 80 for a new drive and 120 to install Windows 5 days to hear that I told them I was picking up my laptop and was told I owed them 40 for diagnostic when asked what test was done to warrant there conclusion and justify 40 bucks I was not given an answer so with all the pc repair shops available I would never recommend Doctor PC for anything computer related You Tube would be a far better option than incompetent fraud no stars deserved but yelp looks out for slackers feelings read more

Great place! I had a software problem and the owner fixed it while I waited and didn't change anything!! You can't beat that!

Took my laptop to the Geek Squad, after several hundred dollars and 2 weeks they hadn't resolved the problem. Went to Doctor PC and two days later my laptop is running better than ever. Cristina spent a lot of time with me to make sure the laptop is functioning the way I wanted. Can't really say enough about Doctor PC. So very grateful they are here in Auburn. read more
