I had 2 older laptops with various issues. One had a power connection problem, and other issues, the 2nd was running very slow and was running a different OS. The great people at PC Electronics recommend that I upgrade to an SSD and installed a new OS to the latest version of Windows. The laptop now works great as if I had a brand new laptop. The other computers power issues were also resolved and they reset my forgotten password. Their rates and charges were very reasonable. In the age of throw away technology, it is good to know a place to extend the life of good older technologies. read more

They gave my laptop back without telling me that they'd lost or broken my hard drive. The guy did look sufficiently guilty but he gave me a free back up drive of my files. I thought it was just good service... I didn't realize that the hard drive was missing until I took the laptop home. I've called and I've walked in since then. They refuse to pay for a new hard drive (or when I offered to buy it and asked that they at least load an operating system the man actually laughed out loud). They did offer to buy it off me for $100. It was two years old and sold for $1000. I'm sure they're great at fixing computers and they're reasonably prices, and mistakes do happen no matter how good you are, it's just how you react to them to determine if you're a good business. These guys are shady. read more

Fast and reasonably priced computer repair! These guys are very knowledgeable in the computer field and will usually answer any questions you have right over the phone. I had a processor failure and was treated very unimportant by almost every computer repair shop in town, but these guys took it on with a smile and assured me they could fix it. Saved my life! Not only did they repair the cpu connection but they even cleaned up the laptop and made it look shiny and brand new again! I received a notification from the owner of this business stating that I harrassed his shop also that I ruined my own laptop and I'm trying to sell to him which my laptop is running better than before. False statements of someone who runs a business Is always bad for business, my laptop is running great right now and has new battery and new power cord. I haven't called back once since he hung up on me the first time and now targets me on yelp saying I harrass his shop. I am in the midst of my first experience with PC Electronics. During Spring Break I realized I needed a laptop battery replacement. I went in, and the employees opened my computer up, cleaned it out, decided what type of battery to order, let me know relevant information regarding the laptop, and steps I could take to prevent the issue in the future. They said it would take up to 5 business days for the new battery to come in but, unfortunately I had to return to school 3 days later. I figured there would be a charge incurred for the services they performed but they charged me nothing. This was my first positive experience. I came back to PC a few weeks after summer had started to finish up this battery replacement issue. They charged me a very fair price, especially considering the age and infrequency of my laptop (Alienware M14x). Where I was most impressed was when they called me, letting me know that there had been a mix-up in the battery ordered. They have called me and kept me constantly updated with events regarding why the issue happened, how it would be resolved, and what I should expect. Overall, it may not look overly inviting from the outside but, I would definitely recommend PC Electronics for any of your IT/Computer problems. read more
