This Best Buy that has been on the west side of town for many many years was at one time a hotspot. I remember years past at Christmas time you could not pull in the parking lot. Now this was back before online shopping and Amazon Prime were a thing. People flocked to this Best Buy. Games. CDs. DVDs. Gameboys. Now this location has tons of bigger ticket items. And mainly cell phone stations. We were there for a new iPad, cover, and case -- as well as a Chromecast or Firestick. My mom found the iPad and accessories she wanted and I went and grabbed the firestick. The guy that helped mom was super knowledgeable and able to get everything she needed with ease. Left my truck with them all day on my SCHEDULED install day When I went back to pick up the truck they didn't do the installation that I paid for. Then I asked for a refund. Geek squad manager argued with me about what happened. I just wanted my keys and money back. They lost the keys and didn't return all of the items i returned. I could kick myself for not checking the receipt better. You can't call the store. The have a answer service that intercepts calls so that a issue you hope could be resolved by phone requires time and gas to go physically to the store to resolve. I always have the worst Best Buy customer experience every time I set foot in this store. The employees constantly miscommunicate with each other and with customers. If I ever have a question, I never get a clear cut answer. The employees really need to work on their customer service skills because I never feel like they go above and beyond. They barely even smile. Also, their merchandising is poor. I picked up an item that said $8. Waited in line for 10 min for this 1 item and it rang up $18. Clerk had replied "someone must have hung it in the wrong spot" and didn't go out of his way to make things right. I obviously didn't buy it and walked out very disappointed. read more

I've had a low opinion of the customer service here based on prior visits to the store but i thought I'd give them a shot. True to form, The store did nothing to change my opinion. I have been a member of the geek squad and webroot for at least 15 years. When I first started doing business with the geek squad they were great now all you hear is people from the Philippines, Panama, India all with an accent and for people like me that are hard to hear makes it very difficult. I just found out they charged for Webroot him since July 2016 and then evidently another subscription from February 2018 I can't get any satisfaction I'm trying to call the store to make an appointment at this recording I'm coming up on one hour waiting for somebody to answer the phone. I have spent well over him $20,000.00 with Best Buy, I will do more shopping around they obviously are not interested in me as a customer. First off, store is very empty (lack of merchandise and customers) as though they are expecting to go out of business. Second, walked in, because I needed a new modem and wireless router. Was ready to spend up to $200. After ten minutes of walking back and forth (twice) in the aisle, no employee came to offer help. But two aisles over, five employees were standing around socializing, shuffling from one leg to the other. As I left the store, two more employees talking, neither asked if I found what I was looking for. Guess that is why the store is so empty and not many customers. When you don't help your customers, they just shop elsewhere. This new nationwide call center is a mess! It's impossible to call the store directly and the customer service representatives say they are unable to. So to answer specific questions about delivery of products I had to drive 30 minutes to the store to talk to a live person. Once in the store, there was 3 individuals in that department with their noses buried in the personnel phones. I was able to walk past them without them noticing. Finally, someone felt my presence and helped me out. He found the product and pre-ordered it for me. I was scheduled for a delivery and installation of speakers today then.........was no showed and not contacted. Once again I can't call the store directly to ask what happened. I called the nationwide Center once again and was tossed around due to the first representative being distracted by a child in the background, accidentally hitting backspace and clearing out my information. Then she stated she couldn't help so she was transferring me to the appliance department. I was redirected to the loop and was picked up by another customer service rep who put me through the same ropes. This individual could not understand that my product is being delivered to the store and the store is going to bring it out today. She kept arguing with me that nothing will be done until it's delivered to me or confirmed via email to me. I didn't wanna argue. It was the store that set up the delivery and installation for me. This individual said she's going to transfer me to the geek squad. Just like before, I was transferred again to another customer service rep and had to go through the same shenanigans. I politely told her though it's not her fault, this company is going to fail due to horrible customer service, then hung up. This may sound like a rant but when you cannot get simple answers, are blown off and the three stooges were my resolution to the problem, that never was fixed, it's frustrating! It's an enormous deterrent for anyone to buy products from the store. The speaker set will be the last purchase from "Worst Buy" . Over the last six years we've purchased at least five computers, multiple speakers, video games, consoles, TVs and a washer/dryer. At this point, I plan on going to someplace local that won't waste my time and cares about people. I took off work to accommodate this delivery and this was a complete waste. I have never ordered something, had the company not deliver it, then never hear from them to reschedule with at least an apology. I recently had purchased an iPad on October 24. We went to exchange it for the past two days and they told us they were not taking any returns due to Black Friday. Today on November 30 they said we are past the 30 day return policy even though the person who sold it to me told me it would still be good because it a Christmas gift to return if there's a problem . The service was very unprofessional and rude, they would not honor the return. I absolutely will never go back to Best Buy again their customer service is absolutely horrible. Purchased top of the line Samsung dishwasher plus 5 year service/warranty contract for $1200+. They had to order the black I wanted so I had to await delivery and installation. I am decisive so took no more that 5 minutes of the clerk's time to decide. When unveiled after installation, I was amazed that it was stainless steel instead of black. The installers put me on the phone to a Best Buy agent who refused to make the correction at that time. Instead, I was told I would need to return to the store to go through the process. Disgusted, I had the stainless unit de-installed and had my credit card credit my account. I would have asked Best Buy themselves to credit the account but could not reach a human being when I called. read more

Mac crashes and burns so I take it to Geek Squad to fix it. Of course after paying the initial $150 to fix it, I also have to pay the data backup fee of $80 because no way could they fix it without completely wiping it and doing a system reset. Ok, whatever it takes to get it working again. I say, "Yeah, go ahead and do a backup". 2 days later I go to pick it up... "Do you want to do a data backup? Its $100" "I told them yes I did 2 days ago and you told me $80, not $100" Commence super confused look by Geek Squad tech guy. Walks away for a few minutes then comes back. "Sorry, I dropped the ball and was the one who talked to you. I didn't get the message to the super fancy tech guy to do a data back up on your computer. And you're right, it will only be $80" "So....its not ready" "No. Im sorry" "No big deal, just call me when it is". Geek Squad calls me the next day...Hey! It's ready! We paid attention to what you said this time and did the data back up. Cool! I go a second time to pick it up. "Ok, sign here." Im signing..."Can I look at it to see if it's working ok?" "Absolutely" Opens up computer...turns it. Mac daddy starts loading and then it opens to a logged in screen. Cool! It works! And its up-to-date and they even cleaned my screen for me. How nice. Thanks super Geeky tech Geek Squad. Grab Ol Mackie and head home. Open computer at home to re-install Microsoft Office. Office wants my user login password. I type it in, password incorrect. What the heck? Type it again. Incorrect. Maybe I changed it? I only use 3 password, so it has to be this one. Incorrect. Sigggghhhhh. Maybe its this one. Incorrect. WHAT. THE. HECK. I KNOWWWW its this original one. Incorrect. Well maybe Geeky techies changed it. I call them. "Im trying to reinstall my microsoft and its telling me my password is wrong. Did you guys change it?" "It wants your Microsoft password. We don't have that" "No, it wants my user login password. Not my Microsoft and Im using the password I gave you guys and its not working. Its telling me its incorrect" "Maybe its asking for your apple ID password. But you didn't give us that either. And when you checked the computer before you left, it was working fine" "It was already logged in when I checked it. We never entered a password. And its not wanting my Apple password or a microsoft, it wants the password I use to log into the computer with. The one I gave you guys is not working so it had to have been changed" "The computer was working when you checked it before you left" "I know it was. And we never logged into it. Do not buy any appliances here. Ordered a washer dryer and a oven, washer was recalled after sorting that out and finding a replacement trying to get an appointment set up was almost impossible. Appointment was set they proceeded to show up with only the stove and have no clue about anything else that was bought. They use an outside company to book appointments and then on top of it they don't ship the appliances from that store, they ship them from somewhere in Jacksonville. Needles to say I still after two weeks don't have a washer and dryer. I would never ever buy any appliances or anything you can't walk out of the store with at the time of purchase. I contacted this Best Buy store on Cyber Monday (12/02/13), attempting to purchase a camera system that was listed for sale on the internet. Although I live in northern California, I was going to be visiting family in nearby Bloomington, IL and had planned on picking up the camera during my visit; when I called the store from California to purchase the camera over the phone with a credit card, I was informed that the item could NOT be purchased over the phone and would be sold as a store pick-up only. Since the camera was listed as a Cyber Monday sale item, I literally interpreted that to mean that the item could be purchased on-line. I've never been impressed with Best Buy and this incident has confirmed my negative feelings. (BTW, this camera system was not available at any other Best Buy locations in northern California on Cyber Monday. read more

I have had nothing but outstanding experiences here. The Magnolia Guys are fabulous and the Store Manager is great. I'm not saying that everything always went smoothly, but sometimes mistakes happen, and it's not a fact of whether a mistake is made or not, it boils down to how it is resolved and handled. I have never been treated with anything other than respect. Every product, and I've bought a TON of products, especially from Magnolia, works, looks, sounds as great or even better than what was explained. I will never buy another appliance from best buy. They delivered a broken washer to my house I barely had it 5 wks it stopped going through the spin cycle. I'm told since its past the 15 days and I didn't purchase there extended warranty there wasn't anything they can do even though upon delivery I inquired if the washer should sound like that and I was told yes that's how it sounds. And because that was not noted on the delivery papers they will not exchange or fix product. I have been in customer service for 23 yrs and there is exceptions to every policy especially when product was delivered broken from there warehouse. read more

I bought a pair of Sony floor speakers here, along with a Sony receiver, and I the guy that helped me really knew what he was talking about. I wanted something that sounded decent, mostly loud though, as it is for the basement. He picked out the right combination of speakers and receiver for me and helped me understand what amount of power I would need for my size of basement. Every time I've gone in except once, every associate is too busy talking to their coworkers then to help me. They never know the answer to a question or still asks what kind of product it is when retrieving it for me even though it says everything on the package. They didn't inform me last time that a sim card didn't come with my phone so I couldn't activate it myself when every phone I've had came with one. And one time my boyfriend wanted to void his order because the associate messed up with the coupons but he said the only way to do that was to continue with the transaction and slide his card then void the order and re ring it. He only had enough for that one order and he would of overdrawn because it doesn't automatically go out of your account. I really think they need to train their employees better. read more
