SCW and I stopped into Paulis Pizza while staying at a nearby hotel. The interior is small but clean with about 4 tables for dining in with a few small two person tables as well. We were greeted and ordered a few pieces of Sicilian pizza, a couple slices of cheese pizza and a Greek salad all to go. It took about 15 minutes until our order was ready. While we waited lots of local people came in and got to go food, seeming to know presumably Pauli well. Always a positive sign in my opinion. The pizza was delicious, among the top pizzas I've had in south Florida. The cheese slices were incredibly thin, not a lot of dough on the bottom but still crisps up and hold the ingredients well. The Sicilian slices were great too. The Greek salad was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the dressing as well. I really enjoyed the food, the small presumably family owned restaurant and highly recommended Paulis pizza. read more

I had a hungry and tired family. Commence Paulis. Unsuspecting from the outside but just perfect inside. Tables for small parties but you just know the place does business via in house and takeout. We opted for in house. Do it. The food will transport you to bliss and the calm of eating mouths bring angels. Everything we got hit the spot and the portions were great. Definitely recommend. I'm giving them five stars because the few complaints I might have are overridden by just how delicious the food was. If ambiance matters to you, I'd recommend getting food to go, unless you're used to the small crowded cafes of Europe. The prices are a bit steep but the food is phenomenal so it makes sense. I got an eggplant parmigiana sandwich and I could barely pick it up because of how much cheese was in there. My main complaint here is that removing the sandwich from aluminum foil is a lot harder than if he'd used parchment paper or some other method. I suppose the drawback is that the aluminum foil is likely part of the cooking process. But it did make eating the food more challenging for a hot sub. The garlic rolls were great. No notes. The food took a long time to make but again it was worth it for the end result. TLDR Small hole in the wall with tremendous food at a premium price and a bit messy. read more

I was really craving some Italian food and found this place nearby. Upon arrival, the owner greeted me and helped me out with what to get. There was a customer there who suggested the pizza so I got two plain slices. They were very yummy and hot out the oven. I chatted with the owner throughout the meal and he was really friendly. It made my experience really great and I'm happy I stopped by this place. They have some pizza specials, such as 2 slices and soda for $8. The pizza slices were large and priced great. read more

It's a hole in the wall pizza joint. Old school build out. I think they serve food with a sit down service. $8 for two slices with a soda. But a dollar more if you want a bottle of water. Why? 1st time here, small local "pizza joint". Service was great, nothing fancy, grab a menu and have a seat kinda place. The food....eehhh, kinda mixed about the food. Ordered the garlic knots, not sure how they were cooked, but the were under cooked and burnt at the same time. Thy were basically yeast dough with oil garlic and red pepper, and heavy on the red pepper. The pizza was good at first, but the 2nd slice was weak and floppy, compared to the 1st slice, which was crisp and decent, not great, but not horrible and the more you ate the worst it got. If you go just order a slice and call it a day. read more

Overcharged me. According to the menu my total should've been $43.85 yet I was charged $52.80. I asked for a receipt but it only gives a total and not itemized. So just be prepared to be charged whatever they feel like. The Garlic knots were burnt and flavorless! The sub sandwich had one piece of meat. My son liked the pizza despite it dripping in pools of grease. I would not eat here again. read more

While in town for a brief time we decided to grab some lunch. We checked the menu button on Yelp and prices are VERY outdated- possibly 7-8 year old- check the recent pictures for correct pricing. $6.95 for the turkey and cheese sub listed on Yelp was actually $11.95- almost double what we originally thought. The sandwich was very filling and quite tasty, but the cost of the ingredients themselves doesn't come close to $12. The bread had a great taste along with the ingredients being tasty- just have issue with the cost of things being so high compared to what was listed by the restaurant on Yelp. Would eat here again if we are nearby just be warned the prices listed are basically double. read more

Just went here for lunch and just devoured 1/2 of my sandwich!!! I went with the Italian combo and you can see by the pictures that it's loaded with meat and other stuff. I love New York style Pizza and Pauli's Pizza serves some of the best this side of the Hudson River. Once you walk in the door you will get a whiff of your favorite pizza cooking in the oven. It just smells like an old school pizza joint, because it is one. They have many other things on the menu and I've tried several but I always come back for the amazing pizza. read more

Okay this is a hidden GEM!! We went for lunch and they had daily specials- 1 slice of pizza and a soda for $5! Can't beat that price. The pizza slice was a good size too. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. The owner was very friendly and prompt. He even gave us suggestions on where to visit around the area. He said their best seller is the chicken parm- YUM! Jumped into Paulis since it was next to a hotel I was staying at. The owner has a pretty thick accent, sounds like he knows authentic Italian cuisine! Alp the reviews said to try the pizza, but I was craving a cold sub. Got the ham and cheese with everything except olives. Didn't realize it does come with mayo (not listed on the menu). That was the only drawback since I don't care for mayo, but the rest of the sandwich was fantastic! Definitely small inside, I wouldn't ever plan on eating in the restaurant, and if I come back I will try the pizza! My sub with two cans of soda was $18. read more

When the menu says NY pizza I think of what I got in NYC, you fold it in half and eat it (even while walking away). What I was given was nothing like that, grease poured out of it and it torn apart when I folded it. I had to bunch it together to eat it. Had it not been delivered I would have sent it back and walked out. If you take the chance you should ask the price before ordering the $20 pizza plus 2.5 toppings ended up being $40 with tip. I wasn't even going to try it based on appearance, i asked to make sure it was relatively fresh I don't know if they grabbed the wrong pie and gave me this by mistake but that was a major waste of time more than money. I've passed by this pizza place for years when I get ice cream next-door. I decided to stop in for lunch one day for their lunch special. I didn't know that it was cash only under $10 so I had to get an extra meal and I planned on bringing it back to work to my coworker. Inside the restaurant is small, clean and cute. The tables are nicely set. Nothing fancy but you can tell someone took their time to make sure it looked cozy. The gentleman at the counter was super nice but all that aside, it's all about the pizza. Unfortunately this pizza did not look anything like the photos from years past on yelp. The single slice I ordered came squished into a bag. It was extremely raw and doughy. The bottom of the pizza was not stable at all. It was so raw the dough almost looked like stretched cheese. I picked apart the pizza and ate the crust and some of the top half. Most of it went in the garbage unfortunately. I was too embarrassed to bring it as a "treat" for my work buddy. The flavor was "OK" but it was extremely greasy and heavy. In all my years of pizza eating I definitely never encountered a wrinkly slice! But this is what I got here at Pauli's. As I always say, try it yourself. Maybe you'll like it. Maybe this was a really off day for them but I definitely won't be returning anytime soon. read more

I rarely take the time to leave negative reviews, but my experience with Pauli's Italian Restaurant has been nothing short of disappointing. The food was mediocre at best, certainly not worth the price or the hype. The flavors lacked authenticity, and the quality left much to be fixed. It's clear they prioritize profit over However, the real issue lies with the management themselves. Their attitude is shockingly unprofessional and unfriendly. Absolute turn off to any establishment. No sense of hospitality must i go on... don't get me started on how they receive criticism! With so many amazing Italian restaurants in the area, I would highly recommend avoiding this place. Spend your hard-earned money at an establishment that values both its food and its patrons. I can see it now. The owner is going to reply with some sort of insult to my intelligence rather than actually fess up and take this information to be better. read more

The art of Perfection is created here at Pauli's pizza restaurant. The crust is very thin at the base and baked to an ideal airy crunch. Each bite is scrumptious and full of flavor. I can't belive I have been living close to this restaurant for 2 years and finally tried this place. We got a large the works to just try their pizza and ingredients in general and man am I happy with this place. The ingredients looked and tasted fresh and they put a good amount, but don't over do it. The pizza was delicious and the cheese felt so fresh. Uuggh the cheese even did the whole string pull apart which made it even better. They are a small place and you order by phone. I love the small business resturant feel of the place and so happy that they have survived this pandemic. I will definitely be coming back here! read more

Called to order the family two 16" one topping pizza special we saw on line for $26.95 and was told they had no special today and the two pizzas would cost $52+......we were in town evacuating from Hurricane Milton.....can you say "gouging"?
