Yum on the box

I ordered a ten inch pie with sausage and mushrooms to go. The dough had a airy crust . The sauce had a nice freshness to it. Also, the mozzarella cheese, sausage, and mushroom they use are very good quality. My only complaint is that the as crispy as I wanted it to be. The staff was really friendly too.

This shop location has been several pizzerias over the last 50 years, although this one has a sports bar vibe with a large outdoor patio where you can watch cars whizzing by blasting their music - well it is a college town and therefore a perfect spot for a pizza joint. The interior did not flaunt the traditional pizzeria red and black colors but did have a nice stone-like front counter with a large glossy circular wooden table as the centerpiece. Loved the light real wood panel accented wall that complemented the rest of the square wooden tabletops. Today's special was advertised in-store as two slices and a soda for $6.99. Grabbed a slice of cheese pizza from the friendly server before our next dinner stop nearby. The thin slice was large and not too oily with a decent crust - added some red pepper flakes to kick up some heat. The bathroom was clean, extremely basic and very tight, could use some TLC but accommodated my need. Strong 4.3 star rating.

Lunch special pizza slices

A local favorite for lunch, Davie's Best has a great menu with fresh choices. A lunch menu is available with sandwiches, pastas, and pizza slice deals. My favorite is to get the pizza slice special for $6.99 with a drink and add 3 garlic rolls. It's a great value and their dough is always fresh. One pepperoni and one mushroom is typically my favorite, and their mushrooms are always sliced fresh, compared to others who use canned. The pasta primavera is a great choice too. I typically am able to bring home leftovers and turn it into two meals. Protip: ask for the garlic sauce to dip your rolls and crust into.

Local pizza restaurant in the Town of Davie near BC campus - only a few parking spaces in front which share the lot with other businesses. Surprised by the size of the outside patio but chose to sit inside. It was early so the dinner crowd was not there yet. Ordered a cheese pizza which had thin dough and a nice crispy edge. Just added some extra cheese and it was very good for a reasonable price.

Davie this really is the best! You know the food is good or you are really hungry when you dive right in and forgot to take a picture (oops) The staff is always so friendly whether you are dining in or ordering to go. Inside has many tables to sit in I love the family feel it has to it with the different variations of table sizes. To order we had the following: Pepperoni Pizza with a side of their liquid gold (get it! It's a seasoned butter that I love to dip my crust in and it's seriously gold) the pizza is nice and crispy while the crust is thick and fluffy. How they get it to the perfect ratio I have no idea but it's seriously amazing. Highly recommend this place!

I stopped in for a quick slice after looking up good pizza places on Yelp. It was clean and nice inside, and the staff was very friendly. I sat at a table and ordered the days special - 2 slices of cheese pizza with a drink for $6.99. It was done in about 10 minutes then was brought to my table. The slices were HUGE! They had advertised NY style hand tossed pizza - and it was! We have tried many pizza places in the area from Davie to Plantation to Fort Lauderdale and while most every place says they have "NY style pizza" , it really never is. It was true! Thin slices of pizza, with the perfect ratio of sauce and cheese. Baked until crispy with the right amount of oil to keep it moist. The flavor was delicious. I always try slices before I order a whole pizza, and I was really impressed. I will definitely be back and try a whole pie with sausage and mushrooms. Definitely worth coming back.

I have been going to Davie's Best ever since I started attending university in Davie. It has been 4 years now and this place is still my go-to pizza bar when I am craving a slice or two. The restaurant has a homey feel and this is evident when I see all the parents coming here with their children after school or teams coming after their little league games to celebrate with a hot pie of pizza. Though this is not the most upscale restaurant, it is clean and maintained by friendly and attentive staff. I think I have seen the same people working in the front since I started visiting and they have always been nothing but kind. They have large tables for big parties and can seat indoors and outdoors but I mostly see people choosing to sit inside to avoid the heat. My order is always their two cheese and a coke for $6.99 and let me tell you - their slices are very big. Sometimes, I get full off of just one slice but the deal is too good to pass up on. If you are looking for more than just a cheese slice, they have a full italian menu with salads, pastas, sandwiches, pizzas, and desserts. I have also tried their eggplant parm and fried ravioli, both of which are decent. If you have not been here, definitely give it a try. I can't wait for my next visit!

I recently ordered from here with some friends and we ordered a few different items to try out. The food was made really quickly which was not expected as pizza places usually take a while so that was a big plus point for this place. We ordered the margarita pizza, the Davie's best pasta combo, the baked ziti, mozzarella sticks, and garlic knots. The pizza was pretty good, but I would not get it again and it didn't really live up to the hype of this place. The pasta combo and ziti were good and at par with places like olive garden. The pricing was also pretty reasonable. The mozzarella sticks and garlic knots weren't good. The sticks were basic and the knots had garlic sauce dripping from them. Overall, it was an interesting experience and I might try it again and possibly get a different pizza this time.

Absolute perfection, and I am not easy for pizza. Super crispy, friendly service, nice owner-led family atmosphere. I stop by almost every week for a slice or two, but they offer a full menu, at reasonable prices. Parking in the back of front is full. They REALLY named this place correctly: Davie's Best!

Dora G.

First time ordering, and looking forward to ordering again Pricing wise the servings are big enough to share. We got the stuffed shells and spaghetti with meatballs, can't really mess either up. The meals come with salad and garlic knots. The garlic knots were drenched and I personally enjoy them like that. The only thing that was messed up was the dressing for the salad, other than that everything else was great.

Greek Salad
Irene K.

I was craving a really big salad, and this was the closest place to me so I decided to try it out. I got an X-Large Greek salad with chicken, and it really was huge! Staff was really friendly when I went to pick up my order :) really happy I decided to give this place a try

Our server was pleasant, but once we had our food, he kind of disappeared. He took an especially long time when we were waiting for the check. As for the food, the best part of the meal was the bread. It was warm and delicious and our food runner/bus boy even gave us a fresh loaf to take home. My kids ordered plain pasta, which was fine ($7 each so not too bad). I had the chicken francese with pasta with marinara sauce. The francese sauce was too eggy and not nearly lemony enough. The marinara sauce was really more chunks of tomatoes than actual sauce. I will say the portion size was large. My husband ordered the salmon special with vegetables. The salmon was fine, but the veggies were hard and not at all seasoned. Overall, our experience was okay, but there are so many local Italian restaurants that I wouldn't come back to this one.

I had such a great experience here tonight. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish…read more We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly--light, crispy, and not greasy at all. The garlic rolls were insane... honestly some of the best I've ever had. We shared a house salad, and it was huge--definitely big enough to split. Everything tasted super fresh, and the balsamic dressing was perfectly drizzled and flavorful without being overpowering. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta. I'm pretty picky about marinara sauce (and I'm Italian, so I hold places to a higher standard), but everything was completely on point. The flavors, the sauce, the portion--just really well done. What made the experience even better was the owner coming over to talk to us. She shared details about the food and the restaurant, which made it feel really personal and welcoming. They also host special wine tastings at the end of the month with a curated menu, which I definitely want to come back for. We didn't try the pizza this time, but I already know I'll be back. They offer thin crust and even a deep dish that you can order ahead (about an hour in advance), which sounds amazing. It's a smaller place, but it's cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back--and next time I'm saving room for dessert (if I can stop myself from eating all the garlic rolls again).

I like a lot more sauce and fillings besides the cheese. The crust wasn't flakey and crispy. I wouldn't get another deep dish from them personally. But there was another couple there who was loving it ! The waitress was very attentive. The beer was cold. The French onion soup was pretty good as well! Would have liked more onions though. Curious how other items are on the menu so I may come back.

Large bay doors stay open, creating an inviting open-air atmosphere with plenty of fresh air and a relaxed vibe. Inside, every table has a view of the traditional wood-burning brick oven, along with multiple flat screens and music playing throughout the restaurant. One detail that stood out immediately was the visible service dog sign near the hostess stand. I was seated right away, and they even brought out a water bowl for my service dog without needing to ask. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and confirmed they provide a 20% discount for military members and first responders on select meals, which is always appreciated. I shared a large Mona Lisa pizza topped with fresh basil, prosciutto, and thick slices of tomato. The thin crust came out perfectly crisp with just the right amount of char from the brick oven. Service was friendly overall, although it appeared the server may have been covering too many tables. Drink refills were missed, and it took a little while to close out the check. Even with that, the food, atmosphere, military-friendly discount, and service dog accommodations make this a place worth visiting for either lunch or dinner.

The senior management at Sicilian Oven definitely keeps tabs on their stores and ensures that the stores are living up to their expectations. This one is no different. The food was spot on! The garlic rosemary bread is to die for. We've often thought of just getting a couple of those and a plate of pasta to share. However, today we had a small Sicilian salad (with gorgonzola added on) to go with the bread. Chef's kiss! We then spent quite some time, while we drank our wine, discussing what to have. Sometimes we opt for the fire roasted shrimp Palermo, or the cervellata with onions and peppers, or the wings, etc. Today, we did our go-to pizza; cervellata, mushrooms, grilled onions, double garlic and double basil. It hits all the taste points, and these guys make those flavors work exceptionally well together. Once that first bite (with the perfect fold) hits those taste buds (mine I throw some red pepper flakes on to give it an extra kick), it makes you dance in your chair. Did we take half of it home?
