Came in on a first time on a Sunday evening after playing some golf next door. This location gave me very authentic mom and pop Italian restaurants. The service was great and everything came quick. It was a bit hot inside but not unpleasant. I had the pasta fagioli soup which was well seasoned and thick. The pizza was crispy with a nice char. Both the pepperoni and the meats pizza were perfect. I truly wanted to like Gianna's Pizza in Plantation, but this was hands down the worst pizza I've ever eaten. The sauce is overwhelmingly sweet--so sweet it completely overpowers everything else. We took one bite each and neither of us went back for more. The cheese is also rubbery and this is not the authentic MY pizza it claims to be. If you're looking for anything resembling authentic or even decent pizza, this is not it. One bite was enough to know this wasn't going to get better. The only positives? The pizza is ready quickly, and the tracking app is actually pretty convenient. Unfortunately, speed and technology don't make up for bad pizza. Outside of that, this is a hard no for me. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone craving real pizza. read more

This place is just down the street from me. I've been there 3 times now and will say it's a winner if you do it right. The first visit, I wasn't sure. I got two pizza by the slice and dined in. I wasn't all that impressed. It seems they only keep cheese pizza readily available and add toppings to it. Reheated well enough, I suppose. I got a circular in the mail advertising them in Clipp, and decided to give it another go since there was a good deal. Got a whole white pizza to go. It did not disappoint and the price was right. On a second occassion, I tried the spinach ricotta pizza. I literally ate more than half of the 18" pizza on my own in a single sitting and put myself in a food coma. The pizza is thin NY style. Does not taste salty like some pizza does. As another review mentioned, there is like a 3-4% service fee on credit cards that isn't advertised. I double checked my e-receipt and confirmed this. Gianna's Pizza is the kind of place that reminds you why people fall in love with pizza in the first place. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth. The woman at the counter not only explained the menu but also went over the specials since it was my first time there. It's clean, cozy, and inviting with a beautiful family tree mural on the wall that gives the place real heart. The wait for the pizza is about 15-20 minutes, but trust me it's worth every second!! Or you could order ahead if. I went with a 9-inch personal meat pizza and subbed the ham for mushrooms. WOW!!!! Every single bite was loaded, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. They don't skimp on toppings at all! The pizza was piled high with meats and mushrooms, making it one of the most satisfying pies I've had in ages. I absolutely loved the flavor of the salami and pepperoni. It was the best. So good! One small heads-up!! There's a tiny fee for card payments. So bring cash if you want to skip that. But really that's a tiny trade-off for pizza this incredible. It's easy to see why Gianna's is the local favorite. Last night I was next door having a beer and decided to get a pizza before going home. Walked over to Gianna's and ordered a large supreme ($29) and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I came back for pickup it was ready to go and I was excited to get home and give it try. When I finally got into it I was pleasantly surprised. The crust and texture was perfect and wasn't overly heavy on the sauce like lots of places are. I definitely plan to go back and want to try the chicken parm pizza next time around. read more

Today I brought my family to Gianna's Pizza new location. Plenty of parking in front of the business. Met with the front counter clerk and ordered a large well-done pizza for $16.00. Took a seat at a small table in the corner of the small traditional Italian restaurant. They dont serve alcohol, so I walked next door to the Riverside Market and bought an ice cold craft beer from their cooler and brought it back to Gianna's. After about twelve minutes the pizza was placed on my table and looked crazy good. Grabbed one piece and it passed the flop test (look at pic). The crust was perfectly cooked with a nice crunch and the bottom had a light char. An easy 8.5/10 pizza. The gender neutral bathroom was clean and modern. read more

Today, I came back to sit down and have pizza at Gianna's. I mentioned in my previous review that I would do one where I actually sit down and eat it fresh. This pizza is the truth! It came in hot and ready--so hot that I burned my lip. I'm not complaining, though, because each bite was better than the last. The right amount of cheese and toppings, sauced to perfection. Was told about this place by my mother who said it was right next to all the other appointments I'd have to go. We met the owner and his staff who were all extremely friendly! A lot of the customers were doing take out orders and some of the customers seemed to be regulars. If you're planning on dining in, they have 2 tables that seat 4, 2 tables that seat 2 and counter seating that I believe can seat 4. There were a lot of things on the menu that sounded delicious. We decided on the Margherita Pizza and Garlic Knots for takeout. The pizza had a natural taste and was very good. The first bite of the garlic knot that I had was crispy but after the initial bite, the rest of the roll wasn't as crispy as we like. Next time we will ask that they make them crispy. They have lunch specials during the week and offer family meals and catering. They were previously located in the old Winn Dixie plaza and have been open at this location for 3 months. I just found this hidden gem because it's located next to an appointment I had to go to, so I noticed it. I went in and two people were having lunch. I looked at what they were sharing and I asked what they had, to which they said "spinach roll" similar to a calzone. I saw them cut a piece and the string of melted mozzarella cheese was stretched between where they wanted to cut the piece. My mouth watered but that day I was in the mood for a good old fashioned steak and cheese sandwich. What I especially love abt pizza places is that they toast the roll with the stk n cheese. This was my first time here and I wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for a promotion because I live in Miami and visit Ft. Lauderdale on the weekends. so Gianna's has been moving around from site to site and this is their newest location. Friendly staff, small restaurant mainly for take out as eating in can get warn to uncomfortable depending on how much heat is accumulating. Nothing fancy but it is good food at reasonable prices, if not lower than most. I liked the pizza and my friend was very happy with the stromboli. The garlic knots were super soft, not sure what sauce was on them, didn't look right but tasted very good. I would have liked unsweetened ice tea and please keep in mind there is no ice, especially if you decide to drink before the meal and the drink stops being cold. read more

Gianna's is my go to for NY style pizza. They also make garlic knots, not rolls, the way it should be. Get them with the melted mozzarella, you won't be disappointed. You can dine in, as there are a few tables, or take out. I recommend ordering through Slice, it's nice and simple. When you dine in you can also order pizza by the slice, which I find to be rare to find in South Florida. Coming from NY, this is the closest I have found to taste like home. It is my go to for take out. The pizza is thin crust, doesn't flop, has just the right amount of sauce and cheese ratio. While it isn't the best I've had (nothing is going to be as good as NY pizza in NY), this is a close contender. read more

I've lived in Plantation for 14 years now and had never tried this pizza place before. Apparently they closed down for a while and they had their soft re-opening this week. The Plantation FB page was on fire with people excited for their return and since I was planning on pizza for dinner anyway I decided to give them a try. For once these people were not lying and overhyping something mediocre: the pizza here is REALLY good. You can tell the sauce is made fresh, the crust is perfect and the chicken parm on the slice was moist and flavorful. We also ordered a lasagna pizza which was really good too. Because it's still a soft opening they didn't have any menu items besides pizza and calzones but I will definitely be back to try their salads and subs. Recently purchased a meatball sub and discovered they don't use full meatballs. They cut the meatballs in half instead of using a whole meatball. Instead of receiving what should be 4-5 meatballs on a 12" sub, you only receive about 2-3 meatballs. All bread and sauce; no balls. Disappointing! read more

We came in with our 11 month old. Even though they only had half of the menu available the service was great, they apologized in advanced. We came in looking for pizza so it was no big deal that they didn't have pasta or other dishes. Food was delicious, I ordered the margherita pizza and it was amazing. My husband ordered one with meats also really really good. The garlic knots with mozarella cheese were amazing as well. I took one star away because when you have children you notice things you wouldn't before, and unfortunately their bathrooms have no changing station for babies, and this is a must for us since we have a baby. Checked this place out for their 2 slice and drink lunch special. It is one of the better pizzas that I've had in the area. Super crispy crunchy crust, not a lot of bread, and not overloaded with marinara sauce so the cheese and the grease are the stars of the show. Pretty good value on the lunch specials and yeah I don't see this much as a dine in restaurant but more of a take out pizza to enjoy it better. Men's bathroom had a urinal out of order, the table I sat at was next to pizza boxes stacked to ceiling so I'm guessing they may not have storage space? And nobody really attends or serves you with drinks, etc. Enjoy the food, they are friendly, but not super servicable. P.s.
