This place is just down the street from me. I've been there 3 times now and will say it's a winner if you do it right. The first visit, I wasn't sure. I got two pizza by the slice and dined in. I wasn't all that impressed. It seems they only keep cheese pizza readily available and add toppings to it. Reheated well enough, I suppose. I got a circular in the mail advertising them in Clipp, and decided to give it another go since there was a good deal. Got a whole white pizza to go. It did not disappoint and the price was right. On a second occassion, I tried the spinach ricotta pizza. I literally ate more than half of the 18" pizza on my own in a single sitting and put myself in a food coma. The pizza is thin NY style. Does not taste salty like some pizza does. As another review mentioned, there is like a 3-4% service fee on credit cards that isn't advertised. I double checked my e-receipt and confirmed this. With this, the price was still right for me.

we stumbled upon this gem by coincidence after a Yelp elite event, and boy it did not disappoint. We ordered 2 9in pies, pepperoni and meats, Fagioli soup and for dessert Tiramisu. and must say all was delicious and well prepared and the best Tiramisu I've had homemade or not it was delicious .Service was also very good friendly and welcoming as well as the vibe. will definitely return and recomened if you are looking for good pies.

Gianna's Pizza is the kind of place that reminds you why people fall in love with pizza in the first place. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth. The woman at the counter not only explained the menu but also went over the specials since it was my first time there. It's clean, cozy, and inviting with a beautiful family tree mural on the wall that gives the place real heart. The wait for the pizza is about 15-20 minutes, but trust me it's worth every second!! Or you could order ahead if. I went with a 9-inch personal meat pizza and subbed the ham for mushrooms. WOW!!!! Every single bite was loaded, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. They don't skimp on toppings at all! The pizza was piled high with meats and mushrooms, making it one of the most satisfying pies I've had in ages. I absolutely loved the flavor of the salami and pepperoni. It was the best. So good! One small heads-up!! There's a tiny fee for card payments. So bring cash if you want to skip that. But really that's a tiny trade-off for pizza this incredible. It's easy to see why Gianna's is the local favorite. Between the welcoming service, the flavorful pies, and the genuine family vibe my entire experience was perfection. I'll definitely be back. Sooner than later. This was incredible.

Last night I was next door having a beer and decided to get a pizza before going home. Walked over to Gianna's and ordered a large supreme ($29) and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I came back for pickup it was ready to go and I was excited to get home and give it try. When I finally got into it I was pleasantly surprised. The crust and texture was perfect and wasn't overly heavy on the sauce like lots of places are. I definitely plan to go back and want to try the chicken parm pizza next time around.

Today I brought my family to Gianna's Pizza new location. Plenty of parking in front of the business. Met with the front counter clerk and ordered a large well-done pizza for $16.00. Took a seat at a small table in the corner of the small traditional Italian restaurant. They dont serve alcohol, so I walked next door to the Riverside Market and bought an ice cold craft beer from their cooler and brought it back to Gianna's. After about twelve minutes the pizza was placed on my table and looked crazy good. Grabbed one piece and it passed the flop test (look at pic). The crust was perfectly cooked with a nice crunch and the bottom had a light char. An easy 8.5/10 pizza. The gender neutral bathroom was clean and modern.

Today, I came back to sit down and have pizza at Gianna's. I mentioned in my previous review that I would do one where I actually sit down and eat it fresh. This pizza is the truth! It came in hot and ready--so hot that I burned my lip. I'm not complaining, though, because each bite was better than the last. The right amount of cheese and toppings, sauced to perfection. This is how you're supposed to make pizza. The staff here are very nice. If you're looking for great pizza, look no further than Gianna's.

Took my 94 year old dad for a day of appointments. Last on the list was his favorite food for dinner, a pizza. Was told about this place by my mother who said it was right next to all the other appointments I'd have to go. Upon entering we were greeted by a very friendly employee behind the counter where we ordered a large cheese pizza (crispy). The ambiance was that of your typical pizza joint with a huge family tree of pictures on it. Obviously family owned. Drinks and the pizza were delivered to our table with a smile. The pizza was cooked to perfection. Crispy and thin! Very tasty! Would definitely recommend if you're ever in the area and will be back for more!

Basic cheese pizza - definitely some of the better pizza in the Plantation area! No flop, reheats very well. One of the few places that has multiple sizes = Small (10 inch) , Medium (14 inch), Large (16 inch), and XL (18 inch). Great price if you need to order for a crowd.

I had such a great experience here tonight. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish…read more We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly--light, crispy, and not greasy at all. The garlic rolls were insane... honestly some of the best I've ever had. We shared a house salad, and it was huge--definitely big enough to split. Everything tasted super fresh, and the balsamic dressing was perfectly drizzled and flavorful without being overpowering. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta. I'm pretty picky about marinara sauce (and I'm Italian, so I hold places to a higher standard), but everything was completely on point. The flavors, the sauce, the portion--just really well done. What made the experience even better was the owner coming over to talk to us. She shared details about the food and the restaurant, which made it feel really personal and welcoming. They also host special wine tastings at the end of the month with a curated menu, which I definitely want to come back for. We didn't try the pizza this time, but I already know I'll be back. They offer thin crust and even a deep dish that you can order ahead (about an hour in advance), which sounds amazing. It's a smaller place, but it's cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back--and next time I'm saving room for dessert (if I can stop myself from eating all the garlic rolls again).

I like a lot more sauce and fillings besides the cheese. The crust wasn't flakey and crispy. I wouldn't get another deep dish from them personally. But there was another couple there who was loving it ! The waitress was very attentive. The beer was cold. The French onion soup was pretty good as well! Would have liked more onions though. Curious how other items are on the menu so I may come back.

Our server was pleasant, but once we had our food, he kind of disappeared. He took an especially long time when we were waiting for the check. As for the food, the best part of the meal was the bread. It was warm and delicious and our food runner/bus boy even gave us a fresh loaf to take home. My kids ordered plain pasta, which was fine ($7 each so not too bad). I had the chicken francese with pasta with marinara sauce. The francese sauce was too eggy and not nearly lemony enough. The marinara sauce was really more chunks of tomatoes than actual sauce. I will say the portion size was large. My husband ordered the salmon special with vegetables. The salmon was fine, but the veggies were hard and not at all seasoned. Overall, our experience was okay, but there are so many local Italian restaurants that I wouldn't come back to this one.

Large bay doors stay open, creating an inviting open-air atmosphere with plenty of fresh air and a relaxed vibe. Inside, every table has a view of the traditional wood-burning brick oven, along with multiple flat screens and music playing throughout the restaurant. One detail that stood out immediately was the visible service dog sign near the hostess stand. I was seated right away, and they even brought out a water bowl for my service dog without needing to ask. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and confirmed they provide a 20% discount for military members and first responders on select meals, which is always appreciated. I shared a large Mona Lisa pizza topped with fresh basil, prosciutto, and thick slices of tomato. The thin crust came out perfectly crisp with just the right amount of char from the brick oven. Service was friendly overall, although it appeared the server may have been covering too many tables. Drink refills were missed, and it took a little while to close out the check. Even with that, the food, atmosphere, military-friendly discount, and service dog accommodations make this a place worth visiting for either lunch or dinner.

My mom ordered the "Italian Chopped Salad" which I told her I didn't want any of... until I tried it. There were so many flavors, all delicious, and the serving was enough for 2-3 people. I highly recommend starting out with this salad (although it would be a bit much if you're dining solo). For my main dish, I went with the lasagna and my mom chose the Chickenn Romano (I think). My lasagna came out in a beautiful Staub rectangular dish and was absolutely delectable! I can not wait to go back and order this again. My mom's chicken dish was also very, very good! I ordered a side of Brussel sprouts that were cooked to perfection. We were both so happy with our choices. My mom and I enjoyed a chocolate martini as well. The ambiance is definitely a date night vibe, especially if you sit towards the back. The front is more of a sophisticated bar vibe. The service can be improved as it took a really long time for things to come out for our game but not the other table and the server seemed awkward with a few things. With practice they'll get better. It won't deter me from going back again as the food was excellent! Kudos to the chef! Parking lot in the front with free parking.

I liked it so much the first night, I came back for lunch the next day. That says everything -- and…read morethe honest review lives in both visits. Louie Bossi's on Las Olas is exactly the kind of Italian restaurant that earns its reputation through the food and loses a half star through inconsistency in service. I visited twice in less than 24 hours -- Friday dinner and Saturday lunch -- both times without a reservation, both times solo at the bar. Fair warning upfront: book a reservation if you can. I knew the risk going in and own that entirely. Friday Night -- Dinner I was seated at the inside bar near the service window, which also happened to be adjacent to the bus station where dishes and silverware were being cleared and disposed of throughout the night. It was louder than the ambient restaurant noise you'd want for a solo dinner. Again -- a reservation would have solved this -- but it's worth noting that a table placement like that is a mild disservice to the overall atmosphere the restaurant works hard to create. That said, everything else Friday night was excellent. I ordered the Limoncello Spritz, which is exactly what it advertises -- bold, citrusy, and lively. In hindsight it wasn't the ideal pairing for Cacio e Pepe, but as a standalone cocktail it was genuinely well-made. The Cacio e Pepe, however, was the real story. House-made noodles, perfect texture, flawless seasoning -- rich without being heavy, simple without being boring. It was a 10 out of 10 pasta. My server Friday night was outstanding -- attentive, warm, and checked in on me multiple times without prompting even as a solo diner. That kind of awareness is what elevates a good meal into a memorable one. Saturday Afternoon -- Lunch The Cacio e Pepe pulled me back the very next day, and it delivered again. Twice in a row, same dish, same result -- that's a kitchen you can trust. The service, however, was a different story. I ordered an Amaretto Sour to start. It never came. My pasta arrived first, and only then did the bartender realize she had never made the drink. At that point I didn't really want it, but I drank it anyway. When I was nearly finished with my meal, I ordered an Amaretto on the rocks and asked to close my tab -- and again, the wait was significant. Guests who sat down after I requested the cocktail and bill had their drinks ordered and made first. By the time mine finally arrived, I was past the point of enjoying it and simply wanted pay the bill for throat a first cocktail and head out. A stark contrast to the Friday experience, and genuinely disappointing at a restaurant operating at this level on one of South Florida's most prominent dining corridors. (Pictures attached from lunch) The Bottom Line Louie Bossi's is a must-visit on Las Olas -- the food is the real deal, the atmosphere has character and charm, and when the service is on, it's really on. But the bar experience at lunch exposed an inconsistency that's hard to ignore. The kitchen earns a 5 every time. The service earns a 5 one night and a 2 the next. Averaged out with everything else, this is a strong 4-star restaurant that has the ingredients to be a perfect 5 on the right night. Make a reservation, sit in the piazza if you can, and order the Cacio e Pepe without question. You'll be back. Meal type Dinner Price per person $60-70 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Reservation Reservations recommended Noise level Loud, but you can still talk Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Paid parking lot, Paid street parking

I say the food is Italian style because I'm Italian American and I travel frequently to Italy. It is not Italian food but it is what Americans think is Italian and it is fine, good, tasty comfort food. I like supporting well run family owned restaurants. These folks work so hard and it's impossible to please everyone. I read that the family traces their roots to Ferrara and Rome before moving to Venezuela and then to the US where they developed restaurant experience and adapted to the culture here. The dining room was full on the night we were there and the ambiance is simple and a little rustic with the brick walls and beige tables. We started with the grilled octopus and the Italian rice balls stuffed with meat. I think we confused them as the rice balls come 2 to an order and there were three of us so we asked if we could buy an extra one. The first order came up with only 2 but instead of just leaving them and bringing another- they took the 2 away and then just brought one with out the other two. Clearly we screwed them up with our request. Eventually we ended up eating three but not at the same time. The octopus was delicious! For our entrees, I had the spaghetti alla vongole which was delicious and packed with clams. One of my dining companions had the lobster ravioli done spicy and and LOVED it as it came with shrimp on top and small tomatoes. My other dining companion had a special of the day which was a pumpkin ravioli. I think something got lost in the description of that item as he was expecting more of a fall dish but it came with a red sauce on it which he said was an odd combo. For dessert, I was stuffed, but one of my dining companions got the tiramisu for dessert which he said was quite good. All in all- the food was quite good, the drinks were well poured and we had plenty of food to take home for another night. Nice to have this local place in our neighborhood!

In this case, it was handled well. I decided to come for brunch this time & overall, it was a really good meal. They weren't super busy but service was good. Our appetizers, drinks & meals all came out in a timely manner. For the most part, everything was right but one of the hash brown sides came out cold (it was quickly swapped for fresh ones). My chicken & waffles were delicious. I especially liked how freshly breaded/fried the chicken was. There was a misunderstanding when it came to ordering our drinks, however. I ordered one that should've came iced but got the other coffee beverage which is served warm. When I brought it up to the waiter he was adamant that it's what I ordered & how it's served. After I questioned it once more, he stuck to that, so I kept the drink. Thankfully, it tasted really good & was poured well but it wasn't what I ordered. It was just a bit off putting that he said it was. He said he'd take the drinks off but this was after we went back & forth about it. This isn't a make or break situation for me but he was set in his ways. As a server, you need to be as adaptive as possible, even if you believe you're right. I'm super thankful to have been invited back because it was a nice meal, as I expected. I'm glad I can now tell people to try them out in good conscience.
