The epitome of a traditional pizzeria in a small quiet plaza at the corner of 46th and Hollywood Blvd. My family eats here a few times per month and brags about the eggplant parmigiana and the hands on management by the owner Steve. The life span of any pizzeria is determined by the taste and quality of their pizza. Came here today to test that unofficial yet brutally honest theory. Ordered two slices of cheese pizza and sat on the covered patio. The slices were perfectly charred with zero flop. Just by the visual I knew I was in for a treat. Sprinkled a little grated cheese on top and took my first bite. All I heard was a crunch and the zesty garlic sauce that followed was spectacular and the lightly singed cornicione did not let me down. Happy Hour is everyday 4pm - 7pm with a BOGO selected wine bottle deal. Met with the owner Steve and gave him cudos for the well cooked pizza. The gender neutral bathroom was clean sporting vintage style ceramic tiles with floral imprints and gold and silver sculptured discs on the wall. Think this might be one of my favorite new pizza places. Big size and crispy slice with a wonderful staff. The owner Steve took time out of his day to visit with me. The liquor bar is small but has good happy hour specials in the late afternoon. Dessert was a dense tasty cheesecake and a macchiato to end my afternoon. read more

First of I have to say what a lovely place with lovely people! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. I can tell this restaurant is full of regulars, everyone seems to know each other and honestly feels like a scene right out of a movie. It was our first time and Tony walked right up to us and introduced himself to us as if he knew it was our first time! lol we thought that was super cool. The hospitality was 10/10, I definitely recommend. We had the chicken parm and the lasagna and it was delicious !! The mozzarella sticks were yummy and the garlic rolls were chef's kiss! I love lasagna. If it's on a menu, it's very likely what I'm going to order. And most of the time, I'm very happy with it. But this one, well, it leaves a lot to be desired. Mostly because rather than having a lot of meat or cheese, they chose to double up on the noodles. It was insane how many noodles they put in their lasagna. Now, I also make my own lasagna, so I know the proportions that make it good. This one was a stack of noodles with some meat and cheese and tomato sauce. There wasn't anything about it that would make me want to rate it as anything higher than two stars. And the restaurant was so cold I had to go out to my car and get a sweater. Regardless of my previous review today's update: Not a great experience for the second time. Last experience was dreadful that I ordered food and took well over an hour to get. But forget that one because it was a busy night. Today is inexcusable. I ordered over the phone a spinach calzone and a chicken parm. While I was waiting there were numerous people that returned their order for some reason. Was told 40 minutes for the order to be ready, well it was an hour but still not a bad thing. I get home to eat and the spinach calzone was right. Chicken parm well it turned into an eggplant parm. Not what I wanted and I don't live around the corner so I made the decision to not got back. Not the first time and it will be the last. I'll shop around for another place. So people check your order before you leave. We decided to give them another try to see how their other non pizza dishes tasted. We tried the linguine in white clam sauce which came with as a generous portion with clams and heavy on the garlic. We did take out and also ordered their Stromboli with a side of sauce. Both dishes were great and our 3 person family enjoyed dinner. Don't order from their website. Ordered a small cheese pizza from Antonio's website for pick up. Pizza $16.25 plus tax and fees $3.13 for a total of $19.38. Picked up the pizza and was given a receipt for $15.25. $14.25 for the pizza and $1.00 tax. I questioned the cashier and she couldn't tell me why other than the website is run by a third party and they obviously charge more.... RIP OFF!! I ordered from their website. We've ordered take out from here twice. First time was good pizza and decent service. However this visit (Tuesday) was subpar at best. We were put on hold twice while trying to place our order. Called back a third time and finally was able to give our order.. Antonio's salad with crispy chicken and a pasta fagioli soup. Was told 25 minutes and was prompt for pick up. Upon pick up they kept asking us what we ordered. Had to wait an additional 15 for the food. We get home and notice the chicken wasn't cooked thru- questionable pink ish in some areas.. and eggs were horribly over cooked with lots of green and a foul egg odor. Worst pizza ever! I'm from New Haven Connecticut so I know a thing or two about good pizza. This was our first time ordering pizza from Antonio's Hollywood for home delivery. Antonio's is 5 minutes (1.3 miles) from our Hillcrest bldg. We placed our order by phone at 7:08 PM and the pizza was delivered over one hour later at 8:11 PM. We even called to find out where our pizza was since we were originally told it would be delivered in under 30 minutes. We ordered the large deluxe pizza which arrived barely warm, with sparse toppings. We ordered an extra topping, black olives, which didn't get added. The pizza simply didn't taste good. Not worth the $ 50. spent (not including the tip for the delivery man). read more

Ordered a small cheese pizza and my friend had a bowl of soup which she said was very good but the small pizza I ordered for I believe 14 bucks was just mainly dough tasting. There's a little bit of red sauce. Where is the cheese? It was very dry and just taste like dough,,,This is not what I consider a cheese pizza That should not of even be brought out to the table. So this is a new location for Antonio's pizza and this feels more like a restaurant for grown ups than their griffin location. Food was amazing. Service was good and they had a busy night when we went. When they brought our drinks, they also brought out their delicious garlic and cheese rolls: a must!! Specially because you can dip them in the extra garlicky sauce at the bottom of the bowl! We tried their shrimp Antonio and their chicken tetrazzini. Both come with soup or salad. The dressings for the salad are made in house by the way. Every thing was fresh, crisp. You could tell that they are using fresh ingredients and is cooked right them and there. The chicken tetrazzini is basically chicken with ham in alfredo sauce: delicious! Pasta was perfectly cooked. The shrimp Antonio think shrimp scampi but better: spicy, nice sized shrimp, For dessert we had their zeppole which is pizza dough that was had been fried with a healthy dose of powdered sugar. They have a small and a large. We got the large and had plenty left over. It comes with two dipping sauces: raspberry and chocolate. We will definitely be back for more. read more

Finally was able to get into the new location after seeing it was open it's defintely a small feeling I can imagine on a very busy night it could feel cramped. I had been hearing mixed reviews but my family and I really enjoyed the food and the service we received. The garlic rolls are a show stopper and by far my favorite thing!! You defintely have to try them! I had the Chicken Parmesan it was good I found the breading a little think but other than that it was enjoyable. We also had the Broccoli and Rotelle which was really light and nice, defintely will be getting that again. We tried the Shrimp Antonio next let me tell you the don't skimp on portions here the amount of shrimp and pasta is astounding from looking at it you would it expect it to be heavy, but it actually kinda light. The final entree we got was the Baked Ziti...which was very good defintely not our favorite...I don't know what it is, but we aren't the biggest a fan of their marinara sauce I can't put my finger on it exactly.
