Very comfortable neighborhood spot. I have read some negative reviews that are, quite honestly, likely written by other establishments or just by grumpy folks with long gone taste buds or a somehow vindictive ax to grind with nothing better to do. I have been coming into this place a couple of times a week for 20 years. I am a fussy eater, if the food wasn't great I would not be returning, as there are plenty of other establishments nearby. The soups are delicious, especially the Italian Wedding. One reviewer said it tasted like canned soup. If so, it is the best canned soup in town. I know they make it fresh daily.Another said the garlic rolls were oil with garlic powder. That person obviously does not know powder from fresh garlic. I say this as I have had literally hundreds , maybe even thousands of garlic rolls there over the years without even a hint of anything even closely short of fresh garlic. Another stated that the salad croutons were moldy. Really?? It was probably a bit or two of fresh basil or oregano. I recently hosted a holiday dinner gathering there in a back room which is available for such. A mixture of food was ordered and everyone thought it was great. I will most definitely do it again. The portions are very generous..... and the moderately priced wines are very smooth. Draft beers are always Ice cold. Tuesdays get busy sometimes, as one would expect when large cheesy pizzas are only $11.99. I get one and the kids next door love the other half of it for when they get home from school. The hunger pains started and noticed this pizza joint in the center of the plaza a prayed they sell pizza by the slice. Went inside and was happy to find out that they do offer a slice of pizza for $3.00 which I ordered. While waiting the five minutes to finish in the oven, the back room was available to rent for $3.00 per person. Seemed like a fun secluded place to watch a sports game with some friends and pizza. The small pizza slice had a nice under char and the crust was crispy. Although, the sauce was not zesty and not enough garlic but that's just my taste buds and personal opinion of course. I went on a Tuesday and got there special. It was a large cheese pie. The crust and tomato sauce was okay but the cheese was extremely salty, like they put extra salt in their cheese. I wiped off the oil on the cheese and it was less salty so definitely so extra corners being cut. Also there was an older male server and he was extremely rude talking about how he has no empathy towards others. Beautiful lunch conversation. Pizzarella looks like a descent place and the service was good. The food was just average at best. I had the Italian wedding soup. It had no vegetables in it. Usually Italian wedding soup has spinach or escarole with carrots. It tasted like Campbell's chicken noodle. The soup was bright yellow like canned too. There were two tiny meatballs in the soup. The pastina was over cooked. They brought me a salad instead. It was fresh with cucumber and tomato. The steak sub had small pieces of steak with peppers, onions and cheese. It had good flavor. The eggplant parmesan sub had pieces of cooked, chopped eggplant with sauce and cheese. I was not a fan of the sauce. It needed to be cooked more. Overall it appears that too many short cuts are going on here to produce any wow factor with their food. Maybe if I had tried the pizza I would have had a better experience. read more

There are hidden fees on the Ubereats menu. For a large pie was 18.99 and then I had to choose a "side" of a small, medium or large pie (an extra 4$). When I called to ask, the woman on the phone about it she said Ubereats charges this not the restaurant and then said the restaurant tried to fix it but couldn't. I called back and asked her to include a water to fix this but she got mad at me, raised her voice and told me it's not her problem that I order from Ubereats. I felt disrespected and will never order from or visit this restaurant again. My family and friends all live in Hollywood and they will definitely hear about my experience. All this while im in the ER with a sick child. So rude!!!! Oh, and a small bottle of water is 2.75. The pizza is pretty good though.. shame read more

How not to run a business. I ordered three meals and a pizza. Two meals were wrong and they left out the third meal. I purposely repeated the order twice. When I told the owner that if I spend over $100 they should try to get it correct. He never said a word. No apology. Nothing. When I tried to call him on my way home the guy wouldn't take my call. What has happened to the food at Pizzarella? It was very good for a long time, but tonight the eggplant parmigiana was a joke. Tonight we tried it for dinner and it was a huge mistake!! Whoever was in the kitchen, sent out an eggplant Parmesan dinner to my wife that was literally burnt so badly it was singed! I ordered a chicken dish. I had the first bite of the boneless white mean chicken swimming in cream and it was rubber. I was so turned off by the first bite I could eat no more. This is one of my favorite Italian neighborhoods restaurant. The dishes taste good. The portions are a good size and the staff cares. I specially like the food recipes. I ordered there really good garlic bread. I love to put extra garlic on bread. No vampires come near me lol. This place accommodates on the extra garlicky order. With a nice freah garlic chunk butter that is delicious. Today I had the chicken Francesca. It was tender and full of flavor. Delish. The spaghetti that came with the dish was good too. It had a good amount of sauce. I appreciate that so the pasta doesn't go dry after 10 minutes of driving home. It came with a salad. Good house dressing. If I could give zero stars I would. I work in a clinic and we ordered pizza from them so that the doctors and all my coworkers could eat. My coworker (who is allergic to cockroaches) almost ate this pizza with a roach in it. The doctors ate slices of this pizza. They are all grossed out. When we brought it to the managers attention she told us that she has never had this problem but when we check the reviews something just like this happened two months ago. She was even saying how she doesn't know how that got there as if we were the ones that put it there. We work in a clinic that works with allergies so why would we even have cockroaches. The pizza crust was on point the way I like it, not too thin or thick, generous amount of toppings and great tomato sauce (especially for me that usually order white pizza). My sister and I have been coming here for many months with our elderly mother as a safe nearby lunch spot. The service, the food and the prices way over exceed our expectations.
