Terribly run service dept. Manager Shai is horrible and a flat out liar.My car sits there for over 9 days without being looked at. Guy has a story for everything. After the car is there 9 days and change I had to bring the car back for more photos to be taken for them still not get parts covered with a gm warranty. Go somewhere else. I've been leasing vehicles for over 20 years and have always taken pride in doing my research, asking questions, and walking away from dealerships feeling respected and valued as a customer. I've leased multiple Cadillacs in the past, and this was supposed to be my third. Unfortunately, my experience this past Saturday at Paul Conte Cadillac was among the worst I've ever had at any dealership, Cadillac or otherwise. I arrived at the dealership at approximately 4:00 PM. I was greeted by Mr. D.B., who initially seemed courteous and professional. We began discussing vehicle options and available deals, and I asked a few standard questions regarding pricing and what incentives I might qualify for. As someone who understands the car business and respects the fact that dealerships need to make a profit, I kept the conversation straightforward and respectful. However, as we went back and forth discussing the numbers and offers, I noticed a change in Mr. D.B.'s demeanor. Rather than continuing the dialogue with the professionalism you'd expect from a luxury dealership, he became noticeably frustrated and dismissive. Phrases like "It is what it is" and "I can't help you" started to surface -- not once, but several times. It felt like he had little to no interest in genuinely working with me to complete a deal or even continuing the conversation. By 5:52 PM, he bluntly said, "The dealership is closing in 8 minutes," and I could tell he was mentally checked out. He already had his lunchbox on the desk and seemed focused more on leaving for the day than serving a customer who was still well within business hours. After a short phone call, I returned and told him I had made a decision to pursue a different vehicle model. At that point, his body language said it all. He grabbed his lunchbox, clearly annoyed at the idea of having to start the pricing process over again. Then he said something completely unprofessional: "Well, you came on Easter." I calmly replied that I do not celebrate Easter and that I came in during regular business hours to make a purchase -- a purchase that, in any other dealership, would have been appreciated. If he had personal plans or obligations that day, he should have either taken the day off or informed me upfront that time would be limited. At the very least, he could have respectfully asked if we could schedule a follow-up appointment -- and I would have gladly agreed. Instead, I was met with a passive-aggressive attitude, a lack of customer focus, and a rush-to-the-door mentality that completely soured the experience. Never have I been made to feel so unwelcome while trying to make a luxury vehicle purchase. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Paul Conte Cadillac, nor will I recommend them to family, friends, or colleagues. my experience was not and still isn't a good one. I purchased a certified xt4. We live 3 hours away. I found this car on line and made arrangements to go and see it. We test drove it and liked it. We found many scratches and a dented front fender. Our salesman told us they would take care if it. We gave a deposit and were told they did not have the title as it was a lease car. We were told it would be about 3 weeks. We then went back to pick up the car and it happened to be June19 2024,the day their systems were hacked. Couldn't get the car. Noticed the scratches were still on the car. Was told again they would be taken care of. Since we lived so far away we made arrangements to meet halfway to pick up the car when they were able to do the paperwork. We went to the meeting place on the designated date and waited two and a half hours for the car to be delivered. After many calls to the dealership. We were then told they "misplaced " the second key so we only have one. Our salesman said they would get us a key and make arrangements with our local Cadillac dealer to program it. We are still waiting and now they say they can't do that. Now we have to pay $200 to have it programmed if we get it. Be careful what you wish for! read more

Called to ask if they would have any trouble servicing a 2006 XLR. The person on the other end of the phone was dismissive and actually said"I don't know what you want me to tell you". How about we always do our best to make our customers happy with great service. If the items needed are available we can order them if not we discuss options. Maybe a little about the training the mechanics get , there was a specialty trading for my car actually but never got to ask that. Living quite a distance from Freeport I was going to local gas stations to find out why my tire was losing air - no puncture no nail ever detected - I finally drove to Paul Conte service Where I always get my cars serviced and was greeted with the kindest team and I knew I would leave there with resolution John C was my advisor, got in the trenches w the service men regarding this problem tire to finally find a tiny nail!!! Caused me stress as the tire would have been flat in a few days if not detected - it's the little things like this that make this place the most wonderful experience every time. Looking around the beautiful and extremely comfortable waiting area (fresh bagels and coffee served daily !) I can see how kind and attentive the whole staff is to their customers. Would never trust any other place with my cars and today just reinforced they are the best in the biz ! Car was towed in yesterday morning 4/13/2020 I tried call a few times yesterday and today to get an update , there was no answer I left a few message for a return call and sent an email, no one returned the call.. I understand with all that is going on the staff is short , there is no reason they don't have someone working from home to return call . I need my car to go back and forth to work I'm an essential worker and with them not giving loaner cars out it is difficult to go to work.. Very bad experience very bad , my car needed shocks replacements and some other related parts to the shocks . They didn't have the parts available, Danny told me they have to order the parts and it will take few days to get it in stock. Then Danny service writer gave me an appointment to take the car back , I took the car back to fix but he told me on the day of appointment we are not able to even look at the car because we are very busy today , I was just shocked they have diagnose the problem with the car and have order the parts week ago and they cannot fix the car because they don't have mechanic available to work on my car because they are very busy with other cars bring it back next week but still cannot guarantee to fix the car on that day as well. Then I spoke with service manager Shai OMG he is a some kind of joke . I have never met some one like him ( so called manager) in a such business . After all I'm very much disappointed . I will not recommend this place for any service, and I will make sure I will report them to GM and in a car show which take place every year where all the companies such as GM Ford Lexus Benz etc. come. After all this I have to find another Cadillac dealership and repeat the protocol to fix my car what a waste of time due Paul Conte Cadillac of free port . This place is very unprofessional. Salesman couldn't make a sell because I was not ready to get a lease yet. The manager got us a deal. However, when I said " I'm sorry but I'm not ready to do it today" he grabbed my debit card and threw it on the table towards me and my wife. He then proceed to take the papers where we had the notes and also threw it to the receptionist. If I ever consider getting a lease from Cadillac, it won't be at this dealer. read more

Terrible Service Department. I had a 10:30 AM appointment of which I arrived 10 minutes early. The service drive was empty, no greeter, I wasn't even greeted or assisted. There were 2 service writers that looked busy and oblivious at the same time. I waited around about 30 minutes before I decided to leave. There were also several disgruntled customers in the waiting room, I felt so bad for those ladies. This experience turned me off from this dealership. I bought my XT5 from Paul Conte & was hoping for the same great experience I had in Sales but they made up my mind quick. I have Mercedes, BMW & Lexus. All of their service departments are top notch. I'm sure this will get a generic response from the dealer asking me to call them to review this matter but don't bother wasting my time. read more

I cant say enough about John C in the service department. He is caring and honest and treats you with respect like family. He went above and beyond to make sure all my cars service needs were thoroughly met in a timely manor. If you want to feel like your Cadillac family with no B.S. then ask for John C. Everyone else in the service department seems eager to please and sounds like they care when your sitting back and listening to everything going on there. The girls that work at the service office desk are super sweet to deal with and we know they get a bad rap sometimes bc they deal with a million calls a day and tons of paperwork. Yesterday we went to Paul Comte Cadillac in Freeport for a test drive on a XT4. From the moment we walked into the showroom we were highly impressed. Greeted by Debbie as if we were regular customers, you had the feeling that you wanted to purchase a car there. Our salesperson, Nelson Galeano, was very professional. Nelson explained to us all the benefits of the XT4 in a way that we were able to understand and peaked our interest in the model. After the presentation and test drive the General Manager, Mary Young, came over and thanked us for our stopping by and seeing the car. Took my Cadillac here to get serviced, got the check engine light and traction warning, low engine power, needless to say I was in trouble. Skeptical to come to another Cadillac dealership after my not so good visit to the location in Farmingdale, man was I surprised. Completely different in every way, and in a good way. Tommy in service was very helpful in getting my car back up and running, had to leave it overnight so I got a loaner from enterprise down the street. Next day early afternoon I got a call from Tommy saying my car was ready to go. Got to the dealer again, this time having to check in my loaner with Christine, in the service office. Friendly service, pleasant to talk to, just an all around great experience. If you're ever in need of service on your Cadillac, make sure you go out of your way and come to this dealership, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars. read more

I made an appointment to get my free one year inspection and I asked the girl over the telephone to give me a time where I could get in and out. When I got there, Ryan - the guy there told me I'd have to leave the car, they are too busy. When I called their customer service number, the first girl gave me the run around about being too busy, then when I asked her for the Corporate Number to file a complaint, she passed me off to some rude lady, then she passed me off to some other guy - they were afraid to give me the corporate number. I looked it up and called to file a complaint myself. I drove 18 miles to get a free $10 inspection that I was promised. I am glad I went because if they can't provide a simple $10 inspection at the time we agreed, then what hassle would I get for a larger amount of $$$? Not only does their service suck, every one I came in contact with gave me the same line of excuses. They are well versed. Obviously, I will NEVER go back and suggest you do the same. I had two Lexus' over five years - NEVER had a problem with their service. If I could give a zero to Paul Conte Cadillac, I would - that's what they deserve! read more

Alan my sales person promised that I would get a Cadillac loaner every time my car came in for service. This never happened. My car was damaged the first time it went in for service and I had to fight with them to fix it. Wound up servicing my car at Sarant Cadillac and would never do business with these crooks ever again! Yesterday I leased yet another car from Paul Conte Cadillac. I have dealt with this dealer for over 30 years and have always been satisfied with them. I have gone to other dealers to check out prices but the customer service stunk. I went to Sarant Cadillac for a brochure once and when I walked in the salesman LITERALLY gave me an eye check from head to feet and told me they had no brochures. I went to my car sent my mother in and suddenly they had a brochure for her. I was signing a deal with King-O'Rourke and they said they didn't like my signature because they said they couldn't read it so I told them go to f**k themselves ripped up the papers and walked out. I have NEVER had a bad experience with Paul Conte Cadillac. If you have give them another try. They are good to their customers!! read more

just now I don't usually write reviews, but today I feel compelled to share my experience. Last week I went to Paul Conte Cadillac with my daughter to help her lease a 2019 xt5. We met with a very nice salesman, I believe his name was Rumman. The salesman was very polite and helpful. I went in with a promotion from Cadillac for $0 down, $0 first month, $0 security. I was to pay tax, dealer fee, DMV. . We saw a car that my daughter loved and signed the deal. We arranged to finalize the deal and pick up the car on Saturday. When Saturday came, I was unable to go with my daughter so she went alone to pick up the car. I had her send me the final contract before she signed it so that I could look it over. Upon review, I noticed an additional $433 due. When I questioned what it was for, I got the typical disregard the question and talk about something different response. An hour later, I still had no answer for the added charge. At that point, I received a call from your most typical sleazy car sales manager named Frank I believe. He tried everything he could think of to justify the charge , but nothing he said made sense. They had it listed under cap cost reduction along with the tax amount combined. The charge was $1775. The tax was $1342. What was the extra $433 I asked??? It was obvious to me, that they had added in an extra $399 payment plus tax equaled $433! I had to finally tell the sleaze ball manager that unless he deducted the added $433, the deal was off. Then and only then, did he agree to remove the extra money and close the deal. They have taken what should have been a pleasant experience for my daughter as she was buying her first Cadillac, and turned it into an aggravating untrusting experience. I will never purchase another car from this dealership nor will I ever recommend it to any of my numerous friends and business associates. Penny wise and dollar foolish. Honesty is the best policy , especially when beginning a relationship. There is nothing worse than sleazy bait and switch car sales managers. As I said, the salesman could not have been more honest and apologetic. Lesson learned, go over ALL your paperwork from Paul Conte Cadillac, better yet, buy it somewhere honest! read more

Disappointed! Walked in to look at a possible dream come true. Always wanted a Cadillac. Met Roman the sales person. It was all lip service. Everything was "no problem"! Looked at the new HT5, Test drove it and it was a wonderful car. Showed me number in what I new was a tier 1 price. Told him what I was willing to pay an can afford. Yet he still showed me, what I new was not for me and what at credit of 700 - 800 would pay. Knowing where my credit stand 600_650 the price he showed me was not what I knew would be my price. I told them my credit yet he still gave the lip service. Gave him $500, deposit. Then spoke with the financial guy Blase. Well he was only intrested in what I can put down. I knew he would be where the buck stopped. Since I couldn't get a new car. I was willing to work with a low mileage, 2017 or 18. They had nothing on hand and felt that they didn't work to get what I wanted at the price I could pay or wanted to pay. (Less than $500/month or equal). Days went by and I heard nothing, did my own searched for a Caddy at another dealer, call the sales man back and informed him of who had it. Got a call back saying that the vehicle was there and should come see it,. One week later. Go there and speak with Blase who had no idea about the car. Pat, the used sale manager was aware but didn't have the car. He had all the specs on it though. It was in transit. Felt that they had no communication between them. Blase could have gotten me some quotes and could have spoke to bank to finace it , but did moyhing. That same day we went to Wantagh Mazda and left 4 days later with a brand new 2018 Cx Touring 5 miles on it, Noone broke the leather but me! I then called Conte dealership to get my deposit back after a couple of phone calls nothing. Finally, i spoke to Pat and he got my deposit back. Very upsetting, felt that there was no customer service and all they where intrested in was $$$$$! I will get my Caddy one day but it won't be from Conte Cadillac. Really dissapointed!!! read more
