Brought my car in for service and noted a pre-existing exhaust issue. After pickup, the condition was clearly worse, with the exhaust fully detached and the bumper ripped. I raised this with the service department and shared photos, but the response was that the vehicle "came in damaged and left damaged," without addressing the change in condition. I ultimately had the issue resolved at a local shop in under 30 minutes for a very reasonable cost. Disappointed with the lack of accountability and unwillingness to engage on what was a straightforward issue. Safe to say I won't be coming back here for service appointments. Mechanic crew is young and pretty inexperienced and the place itself is in a horrible location that is hard to get in and out of. The financing scam - the price for the car was fair. When I said I was paying cash, the price went up outrageously - by 7k! I asked "why so much? Are you getting a kickback from the bank?" Anwer: "oh no. It's just that we have reciprocal arrangements with them so we have to use financing whenever possible" What kind of Orwellian nonsense is that?!?! I went back and forth with the salesperson (who was very nice and communicative). Negotiating the shortest pre-pay penalty period as possible, eventually settling on 4 months, then down to 2 months once 4 months still didn't meet my bottom line of no more than 800 in finance charges. Once all was settled, I read in the loan application that the loan was payable with no penalty AT ANY TIME! Unbelievable - so the whole prepayment penalty rap was another lie! And the secret underlying goal is a markup of the interest rate which goes to the dealership, so they make their money on the long term backend, not just a one-time kickback. Let me be clear - I don't mind people making their money, and the way it was finally explained to me by a friend in the business is: The cars are discounted so much that the dealer is making very little money, so they build in a profit on the financing. Fine. You have to live - make your money. But do not fricking lie to my face. Moving on - I asked that the car be charged when I picked it up. .It wasn't. And finally - AFTER the deal was closed they sent me a carfax report showing that the car had been in an accident and been repaired. Not a peep about it before the deal was closed. JIV positive. I had to call the cops just for him to get a refund of the deposit. Brendan Kelly - he is the sales guy who wouldn't listen to me over the phone and then hung up on me when I told him my dad can't afford the car. Terrance Kelly - he is part of Finance, lied and said he is the "General Manager" Then hung up on me when I said we need the transaction cancelled. I brought my car in earlier this year for an Oil change. I recently purchased a 2009 ES 350 From a Used car dealer a few months before. No Issues. Service rep comes back to say I have an oil leak and a leaky CV Boot. The 2GR-FE engine is known to have an oil leak issue if you google it. (why people would totally fall for this) I took the car to my regular mechanic and put the car on the lift. I even looked myself with a shop light. NO OIL LEAK. Since I purchased the car it is parked in the SAME spot. Not one drop of OIL on the ground! oil remains 100% full on the stick! Fixed the CV axle, and the car has been flawless.. I live upstate and was willing to make the trip down to Lexus of Freeport because I thought we were close to finalizing a deal. Early in the process, I had a conversation with Marc, the sales manager, and he was immediately rude and condescending, especially toward my father, who was involved in the negotiation. His tone and attitude were unprofessional right from the start. Despite that, I continued working with Omar, the salesperson, and it seemed like we were making progress toward a deal. But just as we were getting close, Omar completely ghosted me. He stopped responding to calls, texts, and emails. That lack of communication cost me the opportunity to move forward with other options, which I had put on hold because I thought we were wrapping things up. If you're considering Lexus of Freeport, be prepared for poor communication, unprofessionalism, and a lack of basic courtesy. They did not value my time, my interest, or my potential business. Holy crap. Salesman was good. Finance guy was awful. Avoid at all costs. I had an itemized out the door cost on company letterhead from the salesman. Took a 2.75 hour train to buy the car. When I got into finance I find out that they are asking for $1500 more than what I was quoted. They completely changed their doc fees and registration fees. I was close to walking out. Finally they agreed to waive their doc fees. That got us within $400 of what I was quoted. I liked the car and it was a good price, plus I had a 3 hour trip home. Started signing the doc's. The finance guy is rushing through them. We got to a doc that he said was me agreeing to the company's policy that they would NOT sell my private information to third parties. I read the document but even though it was convoluted it said that I agreed that they WOULD sell my information. I kept telling the finance guy that the doc reads like I am agreeing to them selling my information. He was getting frustrated with me and acting like I was the dumb one for not believing what he said, and what was clearly opposite of what the document said. I asked it I could skip it. He said no. I refused to sign. He got more frustrated and further acted like I was the idiot. Finally he walked out to get someone else to try to explain it to me. He comes back with an older man. The older man says all you have to do is change the 'yes' I agree on the form to 'no' I don't agree. Took him 5 seconds to fix it and then we moved on. Then they try to get me to sign a non arbitration form. Do NOT ever sign one. It basically gives your rights to sue away. Avoid this form! Refuse to sign away your rights. Shame on Lexus for asking us to sign this. Glad I refused. I don't recommend this dealership at all!! read more

My recent service experience here at Lexus of Freeport has been really a nightmare. I want to share I experienced with you here so you could make a decision if this is what you want to deal with. My car was due for maintenance and it has few rattle/noise issue. I made appointment in advance, drove 1 hour and arrived earlier. I waited 3+hours until the service advisor realized their staff fucked up and haven't done anything to my car. They told me my car would be fixed in the next few days, gave me mr a loaner and asked me to go home and wait, also promise their staff will drop off my car to me. So I took it. The next week, the service advisor called me and asked me to drop by again as their mechanic could not sound the noise I mentioned. I drove another 1 hour, arrived earlier only to find the original service advisor I had was not there. I tried to find another service advisor, whose name is Joseph, he was not being very helpful and having a bad attitude to me. I explained my situation to him but the reply I got from a poker face was "what do you want!? We are very busy today and can't do much". I don't know why a service advisor would treat you like that but I really want to fix my car so I guess I had to deal with him. After communicating with him, he eventually sent a mechanic to ride with me and we very quickly found the noise from the rear suspension. They asked me to wait but after a while, no one came to me and explained anything to me. Then, I had to reach to this Joseph guy again and he told me to go home and wait. At this point I realized this guy wasn't trying to help me and I better save my self something and go home. I was deeply disappointed. I always had a very nice experience with my previous Toyota dealership's service team and never expect a Lexus dealer is holding such low standards. Maybe I can't do much as a single consumer but I will do the best I could to report this situation and hope many more fellows bring prepared to handle this terrible service experience. read more

Convenient and friendly had to have my car serviced first regular maintenance immediately met my a friendly manager who quickly took down my information and queued my car for service. Waited in the customer area with a tv while there is also a quiet room. The show room is under construction but seems to be coming along nicely. The customer rep was friendly. Bathrooms are also clean. Only unfriendly face was the cashier who seemed to be bothered by asking question. Conveniently located right off the LIRR / Sunrise Hwy, near various restaurants and shopping areas. Otherwise recommended! read more

An update to my issues. After reaching out to Mr. Kelly who Reached out to Mr Doble The GM my issues are resolved to 100%. I want to thank Mr. Kelly and Mr Doble for rectifying this issues that I had.. Tried and Tried again to work with this place. Omar L from the sales department is great but unfortunately Mirza Kavazovic and Luis Valdes sales managers do not know how to do business the proper way. Watch out they will nickel and dime you to death agree to one price then change the price a the end. I have purchased Toyota, Lexus and Acura from other dealers before. The price OTD is the OTD price. Nothing should be added at the end when you pick up the car. Trust me on this, they are shady. I have friends that went to them and purchased there cars else where because of this. read more

I was aggressively encouraged to pay $14,587 for a $1,500 repair. I brought my 2022 Lexus RX350 to Lexus of Freeport for a usual service, which I was told would take about 3 hours. When I went to pick up the car 8 hours later I was taken to see my car. The front interior passenger side was completely taken apart and there was water under the carpet. I was told that the water was caused by a blockage in the tube that removes water from the air conditioner, probably caused by an insect like a spider getting in there and building a nest. I was told that they have seen this many times. When I asked if this was covered by my bumper to bumper warranty, I was told that it is not covered because it was caused by an outside influence. And then I was quoted $14,586.79 to fix the problem. The service manager was brought in to tell me that I should make a claim under my insurance policy. I requested to take the car and get another opinion. In a threating way, the service manager said that he recommended that I not take the car because the problem might get worse which could void the car warranty. So I did as I was told and I put in a claim under my Travelers auto policy. One week later I was called by Travelers telling me that they were ready to see the vehicle, but that they did not think the problem would be covered under the policy because it is a mechanical issue. I told the caller to put the claim on hold and I took the car from Lexus of Freeport. I brought the car to an independent body shop, who worked with a different Lexus dealer and fixed the problem for under $1,500. Needless to say I will not be taking my car to Lexus of Freeport for service, nor will I be getting any cars from them in the future. This is the 3rd Lexus I have gotten from Lexus of Freeport and I wonder how much I have been ripped off in the past. read more

I was fortunate enough to find a certified 2021 RX 350 Black Line Special Edition with low miles at a Lexus dealership out of state and gave up the 2001 a few days after this horrible incident. My recommendation is for management to empty out the building and take a sledgehammer to the entire building. What a waste of time and money. Your service department and your sales department are underwhelming. It is obvious that this dealership is not doing well considering how new it is. We found a doubt I will drive the extra 10 miles in traffic to visit the next closest dealerships. Lexus service in general does not wow me. But this dealership provides service on par with Honda or Nissan. Apparently, no one at Lexus of Freeport cares enough to change how this place is run. Another disappointing experience at lexus of Freeport. After it raining the last few days, I noticed the inside visor was wet around the drivers side of my sunroof in my 2017 Lexus RX-350. I immediately brought it in for service. Lexus of Freeport looked at my vehicle, and my service advisor, Carlos, told me I " should call my insurance company because this is a very expensive job". I needed "mold remediation services and everything on the drivers side needs to be ripped out and replaced". I asked him how much it costs if I wasn't going to use insurance and he said the labor involved is over $5;000. alone, not counting the parts. I told him not to do the work just my NYS inspection,, and I'd be going for a second opinion. I called Ray Catena Lexus in Monmouth NJ who scheduled me an appointment for today. I went in told them what's going on with the car (not mentioning what just happened in Freeport), and they checked my vehicle out. An hour later they came back with my keys and told me "your sunroof drains were clogged so we blew out both sides, you should probably do that with every service. We checked the car, your seals are fine & there's no water accumulated on the floor and no mold inside, so you're good to go ." They handed me my keys and sent me on my way.... No charge!!!! This isn't the first time Lexus of Freeport told me I needed expensive work done when the car didn't. I use to love going to lexus of Rockville Center & I trusted them with my vehicle. Ever since that dealership was sold and they built a 'state of the art dealership in Freeport", I don't trust the Freeport service department, and rightfully so! It's apparent to me now, that someone has to pay for that new dealership; but it shouldn't be on my dime; by me being told I need services that I really don't. That's called FRAUD!!!! I won't be back! Trust me, I'll pay the tolls and spend 3 hours traveling to use Ray Catena Lexus of Monmouth any & everyday over Lexus of Freeport. Had an appointment for service and still had to wait over 40 mins. After waiting for such a long time we asked for our keys back and even that took an additional 15 mins. No apologies were made or attempts to see why we were leaving. All the employees are just walking around and don't really seem to be moving at as a fast pace as needed. Lexus of Freeport tried charging me 9300 dollars for an air conditioner line water leak caused by a spider. My 2022 RX 350 car was four months old. I was told the spider issue was not covered under my Lexus warranty and that my insurance company would pay the claim. What a scam. I had my private mechanic blow the line out in five minutes for 40 dollars. Lexus of Freeport insisted on their findings and claimed to have seen the spider with a camera. I complained to Lexus corporate and they did nothing. Service manager at Lexus of Freeport said they have this spider issue all the time and would show me a pile of insurance claims they settled this issue on. What a joke. read more

I called the freeport location just to ask if I can come in to figure out (or be shown) how to turn off my auto highbeams, (as it looks like im flashing people constantly.). The women who answered the phone sounded annoyed. she claimed I needed an appointment and couldnt come till tommorow... i was given a "nothing i can do about it" attitude. I Need an apt to ask a simple question?.. she was very rude about it. The people who answer the phone are the 1st people you encounter as a customer and as a current paying leasee, I expected better. I purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle. I also purchased all the warranties unfortunately. I was misled into thinking I could use them at Smithtown Lexus. I specifically asked if I could go to any Lexus with my warranties as I live out by Smithtown and would not be returning for any type of service to Freeport. I went to Smithtown for my service and attempted to use my tire warranty. I was informed that they only use Lexus warranties and would not have in their Lexus dealership and aftermarket warranty. I thought I purchased a Lexus warranty. There was already a Lexus warranty on the vehicle tires from the previous owners and what I purchased was not Lexus warranty but an aftermarket warranty. If I wanted an aftermarket warranty I would have purchased it from a panhandler on the side of the road. I went to Lexus for Lexus. Now I am told I have to go back to Freeport. I called Freeport numerous times as did Lexus corporate who advised me. Freeport would call me back. Not one call back. I want my money back as I am not going to use any of these aftermarket warranties. I will take this further. I am disgusted with the dealer that has NEVER even returned a phone call. I left several messages prior for a spot they were going to touch up on the vehicle. Smithtown was nice enough to give us the touch up paint. There is ZERO customer service once you leave Freeport Lexus with your purchase. read more

I have been going to this dealership since 2021. I was able to get my first Lexus from Lexus of Freeport. Since 2021 I have been working with Jeffrey who has been nothing but amazing. Jeffrey is honest, he works with you, he asks you what are you looking for and your budget. These things right here are important as it makes you feel like a human, they care about what you want and they are trying to work with you. Also, anytime I go to this location, the customer service has been great. This makes you feel like a valuable customer. I have walked out of there with UX in 2021 and recently i have been able to walk out with a NX. I also had the opportunity to work with TJ who explains everything to you and makes sure you understand everything you are signing and not just telling you to sign on a line. Jeffrey and TJ definitely made sure I was happy with my birthday gift. Ooo this is a tough one. I got my lovely IS from here in 2019. My salesman was the brother of the big finance guy that takes care of your paperwork. Man I'm so bad with names but I think their last name is Montana. The brother is very tan (the one who travels to... a nice tropical place every year, if I remember correctly.) I'm so sorry I can't remember but regardless, both were a great help in my leasing process. Anyways, this was my first time leasing a car and I had my eyes on the IS300 OR 350 F Sport for a few years already but I was always too stupid with my finances to make any even bigger financial commitment such as a car lease. But finally, I got my sh*t together and decided to go look around for the car I've wanted. I went to a few Lexus dealerships all around NYC and Long Island, all of which I was met with either very pushy salespeople or just straight up taking advantage of the fact that I look like a little girl walking into a dealership alone. So finally, I took the long journey (from Bayside, Queens) to Lexus of Rockville Centre, and I would say I had a pretty good experience. Mr. Montana worked with me to find the best deal and went over everything without being super pushy or getting annoyed if I couldn't make up my mind. After all, any kind of decision with car buying/leasing shouldn't be taken lightly. Although I must admit I was pretty stupid to not "fight" too hard for a better number, I would say that I was treated fairly and respected. Mr. Montana had my car ready within the week I believe, and he made sure I was good to go (ie. knew how to drive the car LOL/utilize all the functions and the system, as I came from an older vehicle that did NOT have as much technology, to say the least.) He would even shoot me a text checking up on how the car was treating me (or should I say how I was treating the car ) every once in a while. So that was great. All good with the leasing portion. Now onto the unrelated but related portion, which is service. My two following maintenances for the 2019 IS were complimentary, as stated, so I went back to the dealership for those services. All good there. However... I believe it was a little less than a year after I got the car... that this specific model was recalled for a safety issue (possibility of stalling while driving at higher speeds). At the time of the first notice, there was no remedy available. By the time I received the second notice of the recall, there WAS a remedy. So I called Lexus at RC to schedule an appointment, to which they responded that the parts had to be ordered and that they'll give me a call when it's ready for me to drop off the car. They never called me. I think I was quite busy at that time as well so I let some time go by before I received the third letter of the recall, which is (as you know), always better to fix earlier than later such as when the car actually fails you and then you're f*cked and you have no one to blame but yourself and maybe the service department at the dealership that never got back to you...) Nonetheless, I called again to try to schedule an appointment to fix my car, at which time I got the same response-- that they will definitely call me once the parts came in. It is now more than half a year later and I still have not gotten the car fixed because Lexus of RC refuses to let me know when I can bring the car in. I understand that with the uncertainty and chaos that COVID-19 has brought to EVERYONE and every business... that things may be a bit all over the place and hectic. However, it's been a while since dealerships resumed their normal business hours and I just don't know how many more times I have to call the service department to get my car serviced for the recall that I didn't ask for. I completely get if they are UNABLE to assist me with servicing my car due to whatever reason such as getting parts etc. But all I ask is.. maybe don't tell me that you will call me to schedule an appointment when the parts come in, when who knows if they even ordered the parts? I would simply call another Lexus dealership, no big deal. I just want my damn car fixed. OH. STEVE AND JOE MONTANA. They are the brothers that helped make my leasing process as seamless as possible.
