Be very careful with this dealership. As someone who actually understands how financing is supposed to work, it's obvious they don't care about your rights. The first thing they push you to do is submit a credit application. They depend on the fact that most car buyers don't know they're supposed to receive the credit terms before agreeing to anything or submitting any application. It's crazy that even after I sent them the actual laws they're violating under the Consumer Credit Protection Act, their sales manager still chose to ignore my emails. How does a dealership give me a Purchase Order Agreement and the actual Credit Application--not a pre-qualification--show me the monthly payment and total sales price at that stage, then lie about "the bank needs this" and "the bank needs that," or say they're waiting for "approval from a bank"? What's even stranger is they NEVER specify which bank they're talking about until after they run your credit through every bank they choose, using the pre-qualification terms and conditions most people never read. Customers give dealerships way more authorization than they realize. If you decide to buy a car from here, make sure they show you the terms first. And if you agree with them, you should be receiving a Purchase Order. You do not need to pre-qualify just to see credit terms, even though they'll force you into it. And since Mr. Belez is choosing not to respond to my emails, I'm stating this publicly: I'll be filing complaints with the Nassau County Department of Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the New York State Attorney General. I may also proceed with a lawsuit for the 371 Truth in Lending violations under 15 USC 1601 et seq. read more
