They LOST MY VEHICLE DAMAGED MY VEHICLE and when I contacted the BBB better business bureau and insurance they came after them, but somehow business is still afloat. Cancel this business immediately. They damage vehicles and lose them and then blame you. It's a disgusting negative and petrifying experience to go here. Stay away. Also, progressive also filed a complaint with them. What an absolute joke. I had an appointment at 12:00pm and the sales representative did not even show. I was then approached by a male salesmen (do not know name because he did not give a business card) who had no interest in helping. I have had multiple mini coopers throughout the years and know what I am talking about. He talked down to me and was extremely rude. Saying that bringing in a car from another lot was an expense for his dealership. I asked about financing and he said the lowest was 2.9%....within minutes I called another mini dealership in Huntington who laughed and said they do 0.9%. I also asked if they offer any incentives for buyers who are essential employees. - "no, we don't because we are selling out our lots". I found it interesting how quickly he jumped on that answer. My brother just got a Jeep Wrangler 2021 and got 2K off his car because he is a nurse. read more

The service and fast response from my salesperson Peter D. is what sold me. I've been car shopping for a few months. Was looking into Mini, Mazda, Subaru, etc. I actually was thinking of looking into Mini as a last resort since you do pay a premium for features that are found standard in other brands. Nearby Mazda and Subaru salespeople were just awful. They wouldn't even respond to my quote request via e-mail and I even texted them! When I finally went to Mini of Freeport (only Mini dealership I went to), I was greeted right away by Peter. He wasn't pushy at all. Just laid out the options, what's available, what makes sense, and he responds within a few hours via e-mail which is a huge plus. Within a week of test driving the car, I bought my Mini. Alex the Finance Manager is also one to ask for. All Finance Managers will try to sell you a warranty and if you see the value in it, then go for it. Alex will lay out the plans and will work with you to see what can fit in your budget. I'm an easy customer if you treat me right. I shop and ask for the best quoted price. I don't like to haggle. My partner just got back from the service department and we had to review the customer service of this place right away. We had an appointment to have a tire changed. Tracey Geraci was very unhelpful and basically was upselling before the car was even properly inspected by a mechanic. She said we must get 2 tires changed, not just one and we need to get an alignment too. I don't think she is a mechanic nor could assess the situation from where she was. When asked about pricing for the tires which we expected she should know (aren't those in the system or posted somewhere?) she told my partner to go outside and look for Danny who was no where to be found. Why should a customer have to tracked down this information from someone else who works in this place? Shouldn't Tracey find this information out for us?! Luckily my partner was so put off by Tracey's unprofessionalism and rude demeanor that he decided to get the tire from another Mini dealer. Buyer beware! read more

Scumbags! Please read before you go there! I took my MINI here few weeks ago to check for AC leaks and NY inspection. I explained the issue to Tracey Geraci (service advisor) She kept saying "I'll take care of you" What? Then she gave me an estimate, I assumed to check an AC for leaks. She held a paper for me to sign the estimate, never gave me a copy. Next day I came in to pick up the car and was surprised to the $2400 invoice non of the charges were authorized by me. Tracey kept saying - she is not a mechanic and doesn't know the details and all repairs performed were for my safety. Cashier told me if I won't pay they will not release my car to me. So, I paid. I called service manager Steve next day for him to provide some prove that my car needed all that work. His response -we run your key knob for the last service so we did not need authorization from you and we did not saved any broken parts from your car so you can GO TO HELL. My AC was never fixed, NY inspection was never done, they broke the latch on the hood of the car but on the bright side I learnt how to file a complaint with small claims court. The lease on our car was coming due and we needed a replacement. Everyone that I know that has driven a Mini said it was the most fun car they had ever driven. I looked at local dealers online while away on vacation. I inquired about a car and Beth replied to me right away. She went back and forth with me to make sure she had a salesperson there to make everything perfect. We decided to go in on Saturday. Saturday morning we received a call from Hinson. He said that he would be helping us and would be available whenever we came in. We went with our twin 6 y/o's and tried a pre-owned Countryman, which is what we were looking for. My wife liked it but I wasn't sold. We tried the S and I liked it but she didn't like the price. While sitting with Hinson, Clemente got the kids hot chocolate and brought out paper and markers to occupy them and let the grownups speak. Jon, the sales manager, came over and introduced himself and said he was here for anything we needed. We wound up trying a Cooper and loved it. Hinson worked with Jon to make sure they did everything they could to get us the best price. Then we went to sit with Steve in credit. He was incredibly knowledgable and very nice as well. Everyone at the dealership was great. Buying a car is a stressful situation and the team at Mini of Freeport made it as easy as it could possibly be. All my car troubles started after taking my car in for its first service. I took my car in a few months back because it had a service light go on. I go in and meet the advisor, Tracey...avoid this lady if you can. She is not at all kind to the customers and talked down to me during the whole interaction. The only time she was kind was after she offered to have my father come down to sign rental papers and I said it wouldn't be possible as he was in another state. She then gave me a paper to sign saying it was all the services I would be receiving that day, I asked if it was what was included in the service, she says yes and tells me to sign without going into each cost and section. I sign it after being u set the impression it was the right services and I would just pick up my car later. They call me a few hours later saying I need 4 new tires...I figured it made sense and my parents had advised me to accept it. So I plan to go in to just pay for the tires...they charge me 900$ due to services I was not aware of. My dad manages to get the charge reversed (of course Tracey was gone by then). A week later I'm experiencing tire pressure monitor issues. I finally take it in and see Tracey again. I tell her the issue and how I just came in. She proceeds to tell my dad on the phone that I told her that I hit a massive pothole and hence the tire issue. I NEVER said that to her. She blatantly lied on the phone to my dad to try to blame me for an issue they caused. She tells me the sensor is broken, my dad and I request to speak to the mechanic. The head mechanic comes out and says he looked into my info and sees it's been less than a month since I came in and that he will fix it for free. I dread coming into this place because of Tracey. She doesn't care and just wants you to sign a paper and will lie in order to get more money. Pretty awful. I'm now taking my car in (elsewhere) for two new front tires and an alignment since mini couldn't get it right the first time.... read more

I sent my daughter to NY with her Mini to attend college. She required some service and was upcharged BIG TIME. After being told the cost would be one thing, they charged her something way different. Fortunately, I was able to speak with the manager and got it resolved. However, one of the services they performed included an alignment. She got the car back and parked it just before coming home to California for a month. When she returned home the tire sensor light came on and needed replacement. This is where the real s#it show started. First, the lady in the service department, (same one who upcharged her without authorization previously), tells me the sensor was broken and that my daughter told her that she had hit a really big pothole. NO, she did not. I asked my daughter what she had said and at no time did she say that. The lady in the service department told my daughter that she must have hit a pothole. She outright lied to me about what my daughter said. Ok, if you know anything about tire sensors you know that the NUMBER ONE way in which they fail is a result of damage while taking the tire off. THEY damaged the sensor at the previous service and then tried to make me pay for a replacement. Oh, and they said the alignment was out......AGAIN.......and that I should pay for a new alignment......LMAO, NO. My daughter returned to NY to a car that had JUST been "fixed" a day before she left and when she returned had to be re-aligned and had a broken tire pressure sensor. Again, I was able to get them to "do me a favor" and comp the repair. GEE, thanks. But I really shouldn't have to feel that you are doing me a favor when you fix what YOU broke. read more

It is absolutely the worst dealership I've ever been to for service, when I finally got my car back (after many weeks), because I needed a new key for my mini, $1700! When I went to finally pick it up...The car had been damaged I needed to have dents taken out of the hood and repainted, The service manager said that if I paid and additional $350 to have the hood replaced ( they worked just fine when I brought it in!!), that they will repair the damage they did! ... this is the kind of place you're dealing with! *****RUN!**** This is the service you will come to expect from them. read more

"Only interested in bottom line" In order to attain an extra dollar they will throw you under the bus, and stiff you with high unjustified interest rates and bullcrap warranties. Instead of offering me gap insurance which would offer real protection they automatically refused it on my behalf and shoved down my throat a wheel and rum policy which the fiancé manager threatened with either the warranty or a higher interest rate. Now 6 months later my car is totaled and I look to my contract and see that it was marked na, xxx come to find out it would have been a couple of hundred dollars now I'm screwed for at least 6k I will file a complaint with the courts. read more
