My wife and I stopped at Patterson Cafe before a beautiful drive on Hwy 130 west towards Lick Observatory. The reviews were promising but our take was the food was "just okay." My wife had the Ham and Swiss Croissant with bacon - the swiss tasted more like it was white american cheese and the croissant was not the star of the show. The ham was nothing special. I had the teriyaki chicken Vietnamese sandwich which was much better. The teriyaki chicken was a little salty and was screaming for a sear before the teriyaki. However the daikon and other flavors supported the sandwich. So it was tasty but perhaps could have been even better. The folks behind the counter were very helpful and friendly. Found this place on a road trip. Customer service was perfect. Ordered one teriyaki chicken & pork, and one grilled chicken & pork bahn mi, plus one Thai tea boba over ice. If I ordered again I would stick to the grilled chicken, as the teriyaki was too sweet for me and my boyfriend, but still ate it and would give that one item a 3 star. Thai tea was on the sweet side, but that's exactly how I like it. Boba was soft and was better than decent for the middle of no where :) Consider it's location, customer service, and overall taste it deserves a 4.5 star, which fairly rounds to 5. Thought this place could use another review. The owner is very sweet and accommodating, I always order the same thing when I come here (2x bacon, egg, and cheese croissants) they are just so well made! Great turnovers too! During this Covid-19 pandemic it's been heartbreaking having to see businesses struggle with keeping up with rules adjusting to this new way of life, however the owner is keeping up so far while others have shut their door. We travel through Patterson from time to time. We ate the sandwiches, the croissants and drank the cafe su da. WOW! Everything was incredible! The fantastic owner was very kind and remembered us the next time we came in and modified our drink to our preference. The hot link/egg/cheese croissant is delicious. Just watch out for that hot link!! It will sneak up on you! Clean, well lit, open during the right hours. Wow, what a lovely surprise to find this little gem on the way home from a PNW road trip. My recommendations are to try the "chunky monkey" bubble waffle and their veggie sandwich. The boba drinks seem to be more of a frozen smoothie style so they really suit Patterson's weather here. Not tons of variety compared to other shops but I think what they do, they do it really well. This place is so underrated. Their staff is WONDERFUL with the greatest customer service as well as reasonable pricing and fantastic food and drinks. I decided I wanted a late breakfast (11:30am) and ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast bagel on an everything bagel, and added avocado. I also ordered a large Vietnamese iced coffee since I've never had it before. Let me tell you, my breakfast bagel was phenomenal. The bacon was perfectly cooked, the eggs were fluffy and delicious, the American cheese was merry and gooey, and the avocado I added tasted so fresh. The Vietnamese iced coffee is the perfect amount of sweet with the great dynamic of the strong espresso flavor as well. If I could give them more stars I would! Regardless of the pandemic, they are still providing service by allowing customers to call and order and they bring it right to your car. Although this is the only option to order right now, I am beyond thrilled with how fast and friendly the service was. These sandwiches are on large square-shaped croissants. We got breakfast croissants -- ham/egg/cheese and sausage/egg/cheese. They were very large and I decided to save half for later. Both were very good. We also got a cherry strudel and an apple strudel to go. Juice & bottled water. Total approximately $22 The service was excellent and super friendly. We're new to Patterson and we found this little gem, it has wonderful fresh sandwiches and their teas! Green tea and Thai tea are really good. I really enjoy the mom and pop shop and this place is family owned and take pride in their presentation of their menu. Definitely should try! read more

FYI: no public restroom. I got the iced chai and iced cafe latte. Both were amazing! I ate the avocado croissant and my companion got the BLT. Also fantastic. I unfortunately did not see all of the drink options they had since there was a glare on the screen. Only saw them after ordering. One suggestion I'd make is for them to print out a menu for people to read at the counter. read more

The sandwiches here are mediocre. We ordered one tuna croissant sandwich and one turkey avocado. They were not very good and we are both still hungry. We also ordered a Thai Tea that was the worst one I've ever had in my life! The first thing I noticed when I was walking in was a post on the window that read, "No seating and No Bathrooms." I asked if they knew where there were restrooms we could use in the area. The cashier replied, "I have no idea." I do not recommend this place. There are other choices in the area, including a drive food Starbucks, a Baja Fresh, or a pizza place next door to this one that looked descent from the outside. read more

I like this place but one reason l like Vietnamese sandwich's is the crunchy bread and this place doesn't make them in that. The bread gets soggy if it seats awhile.
