It was my sister Sandy's birthday and we would always celebrate a birthday by us having breakfast at Mils. Our dear friend, Connie Debler died and I became too disabled to celebrate at Mils so we ordered takeout. The wonderful crew made it so special for the takeout order - I told her it was Sandy's birthday and asked if she could somehow make it special for her. I wish I had gotten her name, but God Bless her, she not only greeted her with a Happy Birthday, she wrote on her container with artwork and slipped her a couple free sausages. What a doll. We were both feeling a little emotionally sad and this really cheered us up. The food is so good at Mils, but it's the people that make this restaurant an Icon. read more

Service was awful, we ordered we waited 45 minutes. Food never came. We had to flag down the waitress to ask her what was going on. We never got refills. We never got communicated with. They had no management on site and the young girls were taking more smoke breaks than they were waitressing. We got up and left. This place doesn't even deserve one star. read more

They should fire their cook! Cut corners = big loss. They don't cook anything exactly as you order it. The only thing decent here is the breakfast menu and that is screwed up by cut corners and no one checking the quality of the food they're serving. I live local and I keep trying to like this place but each time I'm disappointed. Then you add in that this place is filthy every time I'm in there. They need to hire professional cleaners to scrub the bathrooms thoroughly, dust blinds and light fixtures. They need to vacuum and shampoo the rugs. Wipe down the furniture from top to bottom. It's old but with proper scrubbing, would clean up. I sent my food back, and it wasn't remedied. I opted for cold eggs over another waitress spitting in my food. I thought this because the gal didn't seem to be able to handle me criticizing the food. I asked her for hot sauce to help me choke down my cold eggs. She said sure and ran off to never return (I'm assuming to punish me for not silently taking the bad service). I flagged someone else down to get it. When I finished. My waitress said she would like to offer me 10% off for my trouble. I said thank you. When the bill came, there wasn't a discount and I was charged incorrectly. This upset me. I paid my bill and tipped 15% anyway. I am so disappointed and want to tell everyone out there, to go to Denny's instead. At least it's clean and your food will be cooked to order. This place used to be really good. Now it is disgusting. The food is not edible. The place is dirty and old. I got chicken fried steak and eggs. The chicken fried steak tasted like it was made a week ago. The server took $5 off my bill. Lol. Didnt offer any remake or offer me something else. Mills is a town fav.. small town energy where you can tell everyone knows everyone. Town regulars make for a nostalgic feel when you eat here. I always get pancakes hash browns and scrambled eggs or a veggie omelette. All really good! Its clean and the staff is friendly. Can't go wrong having a meal and a feel from Mills. read more

Great local find! We won a gift certificate and needed to go to Patterson so this way perfect! They are known for their Calimari steak and it was very tender. My hubby had the seafood combo and it was great. The clam chowder was a little salty for me, but very tasty and had lots of clams. Cynthia was our street and was just awesome and she was training a sweet new server named Genesis. They need to market better as it was almost empty and had classic charm. Prices were good and lots of choices! Worth a little drive for the ambiance, service and great food! Family owned for decades. read more

The food was amazing! my family and I stopped here on a road trip and the first thing I noticed was the smell of warm, delicious food and fresh fruit, with a clean atmosphere. We ordered the salmon caesar salad, grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and the French toast with eggs. Our orders were taken quickly and efficiently by our kind and beautiful waitress, and delivered soon thereafter with amazing quality! Literally the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Lately the quality of the food has been going down. The last three times we have ordered from Mil's either the taste was off, overcooked, really greasy, or the order was wrong and or missing items. I don't know if the cooks/staff have changed or there is new management but it is too bad because my family and I used to really like the food from Mil's. There aren't too many places that are decent in Patterson so it is sad that they are starting go down. I hope they get things back on track. But until then we will not be eating there for a while nor can I recommend Mil's. read more

Came to visit my hometown for the weekend and decided to stop by one of the town's oldest gems. Mil's has been around since 1950! The place has such a homey vibe and the warmest welcoming to it. The ambience is that of "the good ol' days". When you walk in you're immediately greeted, and tended to very well the entire stay. You'll notice its the kind of diner where the guests all seem to know eachother and the staff knows the regulars. And the food, well just delicious! I was craving pancakes on Saturday so we decided to eat breakfast at mil's. I was very disappointed with the service and the food. I end up ordering the linguisa breakfast and what I got was a burnt linguisa with a dirty fork on the side. I suggest giving the cooks more training. Defiantly won't eat here again. read more

First time here. Opens at 6 am every day of the week. If I were to describe this restaurant with words, it would be "down home good". I ordered the sausage omelette with cheddar cheese, with hash browns and an English muffin and a cup of coffee. The hash browns were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, without being greasy with a nice potato flavor overall. The omelette was cooked perfectly in an American style, beaten eggs nicely cooked thin and wrapped around, crisp on the outside, flavorful sausage with just the right amount of cheese. Most of all, the meal was piping hot. By the way, the coffee was good. Not too strong and not too weak. Probably a good seller here in Patterson. I would definitely return for breakfast. read more

This is my first bad Yelp review in my many years as a member. I make it a point to always just leave good reviews if I feel an establishment has left a positive impact. On Monday March 30th 2021 at noon a group of my young coworkers and I stopped in for lunch. Normally, when my family walks in we are greeted warmly and directed to sit anywhere. On this day we were ignored and assumed to have a seat at the nearest booth. Both waitresses gave us eye contact but never verbally acknowledged we were there. One waitress stood behind the counter pouring ranch dressing in cups while the other ran past us for ten minutes. My young Asian coworker tried to call her over and was blatantly ignored. The two waitresses found time to edit the menu board and post it as we continued to wait. Finally, the other waitress said I'll get you some menus. Ten minutes later she asks what to drink. I say ice tea. The others ask for Brisk tea. She brings back all ice teas. She now brings our menus and flatware. Three men walk in and the are greeted, given menus and orders taken within two minutes. Not to mention the warm greeting they all received. When our waitress finally asks what we want in a hurried manner. I asked if we would be served in the next twenty minutes in order to get back to work on time. She said, "Nope". I asked for my check. I told her the drinks were wrong and I wanted them to be put in to go cups. We asked for Brisk ice tea. She proceeded to tell me it was our fault because we didn't say "raspberry" ice tea. As I was walked out the tattooed waitress made it a point to walk over in my direction and as sarcastically as possible, "Have a nice day" My mind was perplexed what led to this negative experience. One they we're busy. I figured that at first. This is no reflection on the hard working cooks in the back. Then I couldn't explain away why my group of friends were so obviously disrespected and ignored by the waitresses. These were the best hard working young people who deserved a decent experience. Now we felt discriminated for their age and race. We are a beautiful multi cultural community. These young people have families in Patterson and I'm sure they will share our horrible service. As a local patron I will no longer gives Mils cafe my business. I hope the owner reads this and have a serious discussion with his or her staff. read more

I don't know what has happened to Mil's! Went there for lunch a couple months ago, and the food was not good. Decided to try the buffet yesterday morning, and it was awful. It was honestly like a hotel breakfast. The plates were dirty. When we told the waitress, she did remove them all and replace them with clean ones, but really? My grandson went and got 2 pieces of French toast, didn't eat them, ordered pancakes and they charged us for both. (I didn't complain because he did take the French toast, but still thought they could've removed it from the bill.) They ran out of food at 9, and the kitchen was working to replace everything so there was now an hour wait if you ordered off the menu. We won't be going back and I'm so bummed. They have been a pillar in our community and the "go to" place for all meals. Hopefully they will find some new cooks before they go out of business read more
