Pat's Pizza is such a coastal Maine classic. It's your typical hometown pizza shop with all the local vibes, and honestly I think part of why I love it so much is because I've been coming here multiple times a year on vacation since I was a kid. We got a margarita pizza and breadsticks to go, so I can't speak much to the service. I don't think I can judge this as a margarita pizza, because it's hardly margarita, more like a cheese pizza with half tomatoes intermingled throughout. The undercarriage was decent, not much of a flop jlop, but not entirely crispy either, kind of right in the middle. The flavor of the pizza was bland. The flavors were all muted and it was hard to pick up on anything besides the cheese. For a cheese pizza, it may have gotten a 6.5/10, but because it's a margarita, I have to judge it more harshly, I'd give it a 5/10. The breadsticks were so dense. Almost like they didn't let the bread dough proof at all after rolling them into sticks. Genuinely, freezer breadsticks would have probably been better. 3/10. read more

Fun place with a casual vibe. We had the jerk chicken pizza which was very good and the teriyaki wings which were good. Enjoyed it.

Average pizza, we got one with olives and spinach and one with onion and bell pepper. There was hardly any spinach and the pizzas were a bit too saucy. We got takeout (pick up is in the drive through window which is sorta odd) so I'm not sure how the service and ambiance is within. Was in town last week and my son wanted pizza. We stumbled across Pats. The building itself is next to a gas station and laundry mat so I went in with low expectations. However upon entering we found a cute little place. Definitely not fancy but a sports bar feel. We had a great bartender/server. She was very attentive. Ordered a steak pizza and it was DELICIOUS! We typically take pizza home but my teenager finished the whole thing. It was definitely tasty and I was thankful we gave it a try. Would definitely return if we're in the area again. read more

Needed a hearty calzone after hiking Precipice and this did not disappoint. All the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The Italian sub was average. No wait time for lunch and incredibly friendly staff. The outdoor seating could use some clean up and unfortunately smells like a laundromat but that can't be helped. I picked up food at Pats twice this week while on vacation in Bar Harbor. Great experience both times! The food and service is really good. The people that operate and work there are friendly, hard working and so intent on making your experience a good one. I had a chicken parm sub one night and tonight the Bolognese. Both excellent. They really know how to do takeout. Packed very well providing plates and utensils and napkins. Tonight they said it would take 20 minutes and it was ready in 17 minutes. We were under the impression that it would be a quick and easy dinner spot. This was far from the truth. We saw a family of 4 with 2 little children waiting to pay over 30 minutes for their meal, trying to get the wait staffs attention several times. We overhead they ended up tipping $0 on the meal because of how ridiculous the service was. Finally after 45 minutes our pizza came out and they forgot about the garlic bread so we had to ask for it.
