So as many other reviewers have said compared to NY pizza this just doesn't hold up. It's just ok, I've had better frozen pizza. It tastes kind of like when you use sauce from a jar and make an average pizza yourself at home. It is very cheesy which is nice, but the crust was thin and soggy. Overall it wasn't worth eating. We opted for this one over reel pizza because the pictures made it look better, but reviews were right. We ended up going to reel pizza after and it was much better. The staff is friendly, but I would go elsewhere. read more

Horrible food and service. We ordered a gluten free calzone, but we were told they couldn't make a gluten free pizza? Sounded like laziness on their end. Also, two parties were served before us, but we were seated before them, c'mon man! I get it, you're a "local" hangout but when you don't serve guests with the same attitude and service as the locals, you get a 1-star review or less on Yelp, Google, etc. I recommend you find a better spot to spend your money. After a four-hour bike ride around the Carriage Trail, this place was a great find at 3 pm. We must have arrived at a time where there no servers, so the owner himself was very attentive to us throughout the meal. We got cheese-breadsticks and "The Works" pizza. They had two options for the size of the pie (9" and 14"). The Works had literally every ingredient as topping, and it was actually heavy enough that the two of us couldn't finish the 14" pie. The pizza was phenomenal, and I could tell they didn't skimp out on any of the ingredients. I got an Allagash White to down this, which they served in a glass instead of giving you the bottle. We found there was a different price on our bill from the one on the menu, and the owner fixed it right away for us. Pretty decent pizza for reasonable prices, which is a good thing in Bar Harbor, where things can get expensive quick. Probably more of a 3.5 kind of place but I'll round up. My Hawaiian pizza wasn't the best I've had, but wasn't bad...mostly I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. My family liked their pizzas more than I did and would probably return since it was just as good as what you would get at a fancier restaurant in Bar Harbor for more money. Visiting family and we came to Bar Harbor for the day. After visiting Acadia National Park we stopped here for dinner. Very disappointing... We weren't greeted at door, had to go find someone to seat us. They seated us outside which we figured was fine. Well the service was slow, finally got everything ordered. They brought out empty cups with pitchers and we served ourselves our drinks (water), she told us it'd be a while for the 2 coffees we ordered. Brought us a pile of napkins with forks and knives and set them on the table. After a while the salads we're brought, no body ate theirs bc they tasted funny. When they finally brought the coffee it was cold. The food was just bland. Nothing amazing about it. One of the reasons we came was bc my SIL said that Pat's Pizza was the best pizza around. She even said it was gross compared to what it usually is. The outside ended up being a terrible idea bc it took them so long that the sun went down and the bugs came out. There is also not enough light out back. Wouldn't recommend this Pats Pizza to anyone until they fix some things and get some better servers. read more

Having lived in Bar Harbor most of my life, I can say that when it comes to pizza, your options have always been limited to crappy and cheap, or delicious and expensive.. but then Pats Pizza opened!! They have the best pizza on Mount Desert Island at a price that makes sense. IDK if it is the sauce, toppings, crust or a combination of all 3, but this place is so good! If you go, you absolutely MUST get the cheese bread. It's like a pizza folded over (calzone like, but flat) and stuffed with cheese, topped off with garlic. I happen to be exploring the city of Bar Harbor and there was plenty of options to eat, but this place seemed to fit my appetite. I went in and was greeted by a nice waitress who showed me to my table and asked me for my drink order. The place seemed pretty chill and there was a few families eating there. The waitress was very sweet and helpful during my visit. I checked the menu and after reading a few reviews I decided to go with the thin crust 9" pizza with peppers and ham (my favorite pizza combination). I waited for about 10-15 mins and my pizza arrived. It looked delicious so I went straight to work and honestly I thought it was amazing!! The cheese, sauce, toppings, and crust was the perfect ratio and it tasted really good because I ate every bite there was no leftovers. I have zero complains about the pizza it was so good I visited another location to have more the next day. I also checked out the bathroom and they were out of soap so I told the waitress and the bathroom had soap right after that because she took care of it right away. Overall a great experience and I will recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

This is a hidden gem at bar harbor. The best pizza and salads. There are so many different types of pies to select. A large pie feeds two people. The cracker thin crust is how we like our pizza. The salad are huge with fresh veggies. The blue cheese dressing is amazing. Great beer selection. The prices are affordable. We will definitely come back. Local hangout, with fantastic servers. The pepperoni pizza was just what we were looking for so we had to go back the next night! They have special pepperonis that are flown in. The pepperonis are a bit greasy but the taste of the pizza was fantastic. The interior is very rustic and inviting. We loved watching the local folks interact with each other. Delicious pizza - the cheesy bread is a must. Service was not great the day we visited due to several large groups of campers (think kids on buses) ordering ahead f us. We were warned about it when we sat down but a 45 minute wait for your pizza is a long wait. The manager was great. Went to Pat's Pizza first night in Bar Harbor. I had heard good things about this place...but...maybe it just wasn't such a good night. We stood around looking for someone to seat us for about 5'. Finally someone comes out and seats us. Waiter arrives at least 5' later to get our drinks...we both get water. It took 10' -literally- for him to bring us water. We ordered on small pizza which took another 15'. Then we had to sit and wait for to come out with our check, 10' after we finished.... And the place wasn't busy at all....two other tables had people in them. The pizza was great, but service that night not so good. read more

My husband and I had a late lunch here. Absolutely enjoyed the spinach and artichoke dip for appetizer. The calzone's crust was so light and ingredients very fresh! When I walked in to the restaurant with my family my son ran to get a lollipop for him and his cousins. The lady at the stand started yelling at him for taking more than one. We had a fairly large group and they couldn't seat us because they didn't have enough wait staff. It makes no sense to not have enought waiters in the middle of summer in a tourist town. The same lady that was rude to my son was also rude to me and the rest of my family. read more

Went here with a tour group of about 24; had dinner reservations in advance, so Pat's staff shouldn't have been surprised that we'd be there. But, you wouldn't know that from the service. It was slow! We ordered from a limited menu of 12-15 pizza and pasta dishes, then our table of 5 people waited 40 minutes for 2 pizzas and 3 pastas! And, frankly, it wasn't worth the wait. My cheese ravioli was strictly average, and the tomato sauce was far too acidic for my taste. The 2 items I did like were the side salad and the dish of chocolate ice cream for dessert. Pat's Pizza is an okay place, but it wouldn't be my first choice if I go back to Bar Harbor. read more

I love pizza. I eat it quite often, even for breakfast. I frequent Rosalie's Pizza on the other end of Rodick St. but I figured I would give Pat's a try. I ordered the small Brimstone (one of their new Signature Style "Blonde" pizzas). The BBQ sauce was one note: extremely sweet. The cheddar cheese was rubbery and the chicken tasted as if it had been reheated many times. The red onion slices were raw and the roasted red pepper did not add anything to this sad slice. The dough was a travesty--flabby, soggy, and barely-there. Maybe I should have ordered the "double dough" option. Pat's Pizza did not fill my pizza craving.
