Super awesome atmosphere! It screams "we know pizza!" We ordered and were not disappointed with the pizzas brought to our table! The server was great!

Pizza was tasty. The lobster pizza was very fun, but the cheese pizza was just mid. I recommend the double dough for a thicker crust. Service was very kind and welcoming.

Needed a hearty calzone after hiking Precipice and this did not disappoint. All the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The Italian sub was average. No wait time for lunch and incredibly friendly staff. The outdoor seating could use some clean up and unfortunately smells like a laundromat but that can't be helped. We would eat here again

Friendly, attentive staff. We ordered to go but were offered water while we waited. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. And the best part: they have those cupped pepperonis that I love. The pizza has a thinner crust (kind of similar to Little Caesar's, but with a better taste. They also have Jamaican food, which was an unexpected but nice surprise.

I picked up food at Pats twice this week while on vacation in Bar Harbor. Great experience both times! The food and service is really good. The people that operate and work there are friendly, hard working and so intent on making your experience a good one. I had a chicken parm sub one night and tonight the Bolognese. Both excellent. They really know how to do takeout. Packed very well providing plates and utensils and napkins. Tonight they said it would take 20 minutes and it was ready in 17 minutes. Awesome place, will come back again!!

Very enjoyable pizza. Then thin crust or the double crust were good. Ideally I would like to try the thin crust with pepperoni and the spicy sausage. The chef side salad was very good. 50/50 mix with fresh cut onions, green peppers and choice of dressing.

We ordered the Jamaican specials. The food was delicious with good sized portions. It was freshly made. The server was very attentive.

Solid. Go for the double pepperoni....worth getting hardened arteries over. Also...pretty nice folks, too.

Good pizza, especially after a hike. If your not a thin crust fan (like me), go for the double dough pizza.

I would rank Carmen's entertainment factor around 4 stars in a town as small as Bar Harbor. And…read moretheir food I would give about 2 so they end up with 3. This restaurant/bar tries to have a Cuban or Caribbean feel - it seems like the kind of place the Chiquita banana lady would eat at. But, they serve a majority of seafood or traditional stuff like mac n' cheese. We tried that and a Cuban sandwich and while both were edible, neither was overly desirable. However, they do have a pool table that we used frequently and a dance floor that we never used at all. On the dance floor though they had a variety of djs each night, including reggae once as well as activities such as karaoke. Overall, it's a fairly fun place to check out if you're in the neighborhood.

I witnessed a grave injustice tonight. I was enjoying myself at Carmen Verandah and was waiting at…read morethe bar for another drink. The man next to me was tapping his beer can to the beat of the song that was playing and he was also bobbing his head to the beat. He did not speak to the staff, but they spoke to him. A heavyset male bartender in a tie-dye shirt turned to him and yelled "You're pounding your beer at the bar." Immediately, he motioned to a young genial bartender to do something about it, so the young bartender filled a pintglass with ice cubes and dumped it on the man's head. A guard wearing a black "Security" shirt appeared from the kitchen and grabbed the man by the arms. The man said "Don't touch me, I'll leave" and he walked down the stairs while Security held him. He left of his own accord. To my knowledge, the man did nothing wrong except drum his beer can to the beat of the music. Since when is that a crime? I was having a fun night until the overzealous staff removed this man for enjoying himself with a metal can. Since witnessing the Assault On Main Street, I cannot help but think that the staff should encourage fun and legal behavior. Carmen Verandah may be "the only club in Bar Harbor," but that does not give it carte blanche to treat paying customers like swine and dispose of them like garbage when they are having a little bit of fun in the sleepy town of Bar Harbor. Every town deserves a fun bar with good music, but last night proved that the Bar Harbor club scene has a long way to go towards modern hospitality and faithful discourse between patrons and staff.

We finally got our drinks and were waiting for a table and watched the hostess do her job and then run over and make drinks. Nothing sanitary here as she tore up mint leaves and picked up fruits after working at the hostess stand. Yikes!! We wanted something simple for dinner so I ordered the Quesedilla appetizer. Right after we were seated, a table of 12 was seated next to us, which I knew would be problematic. To make matters worse, they were splitting their orders up in multiple people. The poor server. We waited very long for our food and my husband finally tagged another server and asked him to check. Sure enough our food was ready but our server was busy. My quesedillas were fine, nothing special.

The server was friendly and attentive, so though she forgot to bring a couple of small items we requested, it was easily fixed. This seems to be one of those basic American style restaurants: not with a broad or imaginative selection, nor one that I'll knock your socks off, but rather with basic food offerings of middling quality. For example, my cheeseburger and onion ring were fine, but not such that I would bring them up later when talking to a friend about restaurants in general. My wife ordered the chef salad, and it was generous, but it took up so much room on the oval plate that she risked pushing items onto the table with every bite. Bringing a second plate from the start would have been a good idea, but she fixed it by asking early for a box to bring some home, as she knew she wouldn't be able to finish it anyway. She was pleased that there was no extra charge for the packet of guacamole she requested. Sometimes it seems places up charge for every little thing. Speaking of prices, they seem elevated for what they offer, but when I thought about it, it felt high compared to what we were paying pre-inflation a year or two ago, not compared to other restaurants. So it is dependable enough so I would be willing to go back (if they are like smaller Dysarts branches they must have good pizza) but it will not be a destination restaurant for us.
