POUTINE! The poutine here is really good. I pulled over to grab a quick lunch on my way north. I saw poutine on the menu. SCORE! It came out so quick and it was huge. Bring a friend or eating pants. This really shouldn't be consumed by one person. No, really .

Came north for a concert last night. It was great (too). Couldn't leave without introducing my granddaughter to Dysart's. I mean...that just wouldn't be right. Breakfast was delish. I had the Black Bear Omelet - 3 eggs! Shaved steak, peppers, onions and provolone. Enough to take some home. She had the Traditional McRuth - home made bread, egg, sausage patty. Loved that we had the choice of home fries, tater tots OR beans for our side. Grabbing a few things from the bakery (fresh blueberry muffins and pie) before we hit the road.

Visited Maine and had to try the home of the buttery flakey crust!! Service was so kind, when we were ordering, they were so attentive and had great recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cozy diner and the portions are huge.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the apps thinking they were shareable small plates, but they were soooo filling! Poutine, French toast with blueberry, and chicken pot pie was my favorite and highly recommend. Ample parking and great happy hour deals.

What can I say, it's a truckstop, but with a great variety of food. Went with my mom and we both enjoyed our meals. Something for everyone and good option if you're on the road.

Having visited Dysart's for breakfast a few times, I would recommend it to anyone wanting a variety of options for breakfast. The portions are considerable, the quality is always great, service is fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor consists of a combination of local artist paintings and photography, old snowmobiles, a canoe, and even a Model T on display in addition to tractor trailer decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a fun place to get an excellent meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great blueberry sauce- worth it for that alone! I wish you could just have that with a spoon. Ended up here after our original choice was too busy to get into, and boy were we glad we found this place!

    French toast with blueberry

The food was amazing! The service was great! Definitely recommend the French toast with blueberries.

Don't let the fact that this place is connected to a gas station turn you off. We were visiting Bangor for the weekend and Dysart's was recommended by a local. He said the blueberry pie was a must try. Unfortunately, they were already sold out of it. We ordered the cinnamon roll instead and it was delicious as was everything else I had. It was packed and two of us had to wait for a bit for a table but it was worth it!

Not as good as the one in Herndon. Does not have the famous pot roast on the menu. They must not serve many salads as the lettuce looked like it had seen better days. Take a pass on this place.

Looking for a hearty breakfast? Dysart's has you covered. This place shared real estate with a Citgo gas station but don't let that fool you, it's a legit dining experience. The decor is pretty cool too with antique cars, snowmobiles and canoes peppering the dining room. I had Dave's Hash which was by far the best corned beef hash I had this trip, homemade and corned beef forward. The accompanying beans were tasty but not overly sweet and grilled biscuits are the way to go. Others in the party had the McRuth, a breakfast sandwich made of French toast, the breakfast meat of your choice and an egg. Must have been good as it disappeared at record speed. Another combo plate included homemade hash browns, sausage gravy and eggs. Definitely worth a trip.

Deluxe side of the Vegetable Soup - extra $2 charge

We stopped by Dysart's because I had heard it was a famous trucking stop and I was hungry. They had chicken pot pie ($13) - my favorite! We were served brioche bread with butter and the chicken pot pie came with two sides (we chose broccoli and the deluxe side of vegetable soup for an extra $2 charge). The pot pie was better than I had expected! Overall nice place to stop if you're driving by and are hungry. Typical American diner feel and the young waiter was very nice :)

Solid place to grab diner food and a great slice of pie. Coffee was pretty good too.

We had the Barrel of Souls (an aged stout) and a honey mead/beer mix (I can't remember the name). Both were delicious, but the mead/beer was our favorite, the two flavors complemented each other very well. The bartender was super nice and had some suggestions for local shops to check out. The atmosphere was perfect, just a small space with a lot of vibes. This is somewhere I will definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

We went for dinner because two people in our party were vegan and this menu had vegan options which we appreciate so much. I don't believe it's her fault as there is no kitchen in this establishment, but the food was bad. Some of it was not fit for consumption, and, to their credit, I was not charged for those items that were inedible. I suspect the food would be great if she had what she needed to do her job, because the menu was really interesting. It's a local place with nice local people and we always try to support those businesses when we visit a town. But you cannot cook meals using one hot plate and an air fryer, or store restaurant grade food in a college refrigerator for extended periods. Go for the beer, but don't eat the food until this team can upgrade to keep everyone safe.

Let me tell you, there is nothing "big box" about this place. It's quirky and fun. Outside is a garden area for nicer weather and I believe they have live music at times as well. Graffiti-style murals including Rick & Morty (can't find my exterior pics anywhere) and other fun stuff. They even had a bouncy house when we were there. And yep, we bounced around like kids. The interior of the brewery is also pretty quirky, chill, and fun. The employees and clientele are super cool & welcoming. They have a decent food menu that includes stuff from Oriental Jade (Asian restaurant that served Chinese and Japanese food). Oriental Jade had been around for decades. If you're a Stephen King fan, you know all about it. Their food is yum. Anyway, Bangor Beer has a lot of other offerings like fish & chips, burgers, typical fare that tastes anything but typical. The drinks: Yes they're a craft brewery and they also offer cocktails and mocktails. I've only had beer (did try the NA beer that had & it was good). Their pours are of the highest caliber. The taproom has 12-13 different beers on draft at any given time. And of course, beers to go (cans). Draft beers in growlers too. Oddball is probably my favorite. It's an oat stout that sits just right on the tastebuds. The 10-12 is a great IPA with just the right amount of hops. Total A+ spot.
