Um, all I can say is I don't get the vibe that this place was going for. It was cluttered and all over the place. I'm glad that I ate at a stop before here because after watching them "prepare" the food for other guests, I was like ummmm. For food, they pulled items out of ziploc bags from the fridge and through them in the microwave. The beer was only ok. Sorry, but it was a miss for me.

Lobster Rangoon and fries with lobster cheese and truffle oil.

The Lobster Rangoon was the best thing I ate while staying in Maine! Friendly staff and excellent service.

Had one day in Bangor and found this local establishment with a funky vibe located next to a wonderful umbrella canopied street! We sat outside and enjoyed the nicely scaled street. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were smoking up the place with meat yet it gave AA great olfactory experience! We partook of a citrus beer and a local cider both were agreeable. Also had their named Cowboy Caviar, a very simple five bean salad. The Thai puffs were tasty and agreeable.

We came in here after lunch and just wanted to order a drink. The food menu looked very enticing and we would have loved to try some of their dishes. The prices also were good. My husband got a flight of beers and I went with a wine recommendation from the bartender. The beers were very unique ingredients that you wouldn't normally pair with beer. For my husband's taste, it was a bit too much. The service was very friendly and nice and just like other reviewers, if we lived in Bangor we would be regulars.

Stopped by here on a road trip to Maine. Love the vibe here. Such a great place to hangout and have some beer. Friendly service and really good beer. I would become a regular if I lived here. My boyfriend really likes the beer selections. It's unique. We had one that had jalapenos and ghost pepper. It was spicy but not the same way it would be in food, it was very pleasant. His favorite was the vanilla peach porter, which was really flavorful. The food is okay. Interesting options available. We had the lobster pot pie which was smaller than expected and was over cooked.

So good. People, atmosphere and food. The place is small and eclectic. They have a good selection of table games to entertain you. So glad we made the stop.

Found this place here on Yelp so decided to try because of their menu. Very small cozy place inside. We ordered the lobster Rangoon and lobster pot pie. Both were amazing and their Octoberfest beer was great. Met some very nice people while having dinner. Had a great time.

This place is awesome! It's in a central location, the staff is family and the food was something else. I just finished hiking the Appalachian Trail so I was a bottomless pit for beer and food. I ordered some cheese sticks and the sticky chicken tenders. I'm normally used to eating about 6-10k calories a day. This food was so great and filling I couldn't move afterwards!!!! They had a couple house beers on tap and some guest brews as well. Everything rotates but from what I gather it's always something good. There are games, things to do and plenty to keep you busy here. If you're downtown and need some food and beer this is the place for you! The staff was delightful as well.

Let me tell you, there is nothing "big box" about this place. It's quirky and fun. Outside is a garden area for nicer weather and I believe they have live music at times as well. Graffiti-style murals including Rick & Morty (can't find my exterior pics anywhere) and other fun stuff. They even had a bouncy house when we were there. And yep, we bounced around like kids. The interior of the brewery is also pretty quirky, chill, and fun. The employees and clientele are super cool & welcoming. They have a decent food menu that includes stuff from Oriental Jade (Asian restaurant that served Chinese and Japanese food). Oriental Jade had been around for decades. If you're a Stephen King fan, you know all about it. Their food is yum. Anyway, Bangor Beer has a lot of other offerings like fish & chips, burgers, typical fare that tastes anything but typical. The drinks: Yes they're a craft brewery and they also offer cocktails and mocktails. I've only had beer (did try the NA beer that had & it was good). Their pours are of the highest caliber. The taproom has 12-13 different beers on draft at any given time. And of course, beers to go (cans). Draft beers in growlers too. Oddball is probably my favorite. It's an oat stout that sits just right on the tastebuds. The 10-12 is a great IPA with just the right amount of hops. Total A+ spot.

Also I do love steaks and Jack Russell terriers. Since I was dining solo, I sat at the bar both times. The bartender was nice and friendly. I had their NY Strip steak both times. I had a bowl of their lobster stew on the second night after the marathon and it was delicious! It was a nice way to eat a full lobster! It was a nice surf and turf having paired with the steak.

Here are my takes: Food/Drinks: We took an appetizer plate and overall it was good tasting. Scallops taking the credit for it since they were too good. The beers that we took were good tasting as well. Service: The server was nice. Not the quickest service but can imagine they were short of employees. Ambiance: This place is huge with plenty of seating and wood cabin looks all around. Hygiene: Clean and tidy with no complaints at all. Price: Reasonably priced in the category.
