I searched burgers in BH and Pizzeria 131 sounded like a winner. And it was two minutes away! I ordered a Tipsy Cowboy burger with fries. It has to be THE BEST BURGER ON THE ISLAND. Juicy, full of marvelous flavors and smothered in grilled onions. YUM. As a matter of fact, today, after a long day of unpacking and sorting, I just ordered another one. Can't wait to pick it up. While visiting Acadia National Park in August 2025, we did take out pizza from this eatery after settling into our AirBnB the first night. We got 2 large pizzas and they did not disappoint. Seat yourself and either order at the bar or use the QR code. So easy. Lots of outdoor seating but we found a table in the bar area as it was a little chilly. It's a sports bar so if you need to watch your fav team, this is a great place to do it. I ordered a Malbec. It might have been the worst tasting wine I've had in a long time, and I'm not that picky. This place was on the list of recommended restaurants we had put together for our stay in Bar Harbor. We wanted something quick and easy since we had just arrived in town and this was the perfect spot for that. We used the QR code at the table to place our order. I generally like this, but it was a little tougher than normal due to the notoriously unreliable cell service in Bar Harbor. We sat outside on their front patio on a pleasant summer night and it was a great spot for people watching. Can you name a pizza joint that has a disconnected phone and is thereby unable to answer potential patrons' questions? If you guessed Pizzeria 131, right again. Pizzeria 131 is basically a dive bar with food. That is, "with food," if the kitchen can get out of their own way and produce some. And when your pizza is _finally_ ready, it isn't that great: too much cheese and overly greasy with crust that is under-cooked. Perhaps Pizzeria 131 installed pinball machines and a pool table to distract patrons from the glacial pace of order fulfillment. On the brighter side, there is a good selection of local brews. Notable are the Orono Brewing Tubular IPA ($9) and the Maine Beer Co. Lunch IPA ($10). There is a "full" bar, but few premium liquors, not even Tanquery; the most "premium" you're going to get is something like Johnny Walker Red. How Pizzeria 131 achieved 4 1/2 stars on Yelp (at the time of this writing) is unfathomable. Yelp rarely steers diners wrong; in this case, it set a course to poor dining. read more

We ate here for lunch after starting the day in Acadia. After placing our order with the server at the bar we went and sat outside. Everything here is order at the counter/bar and it is brought to your table. From the outside you wouldn't expect to find ample seating inside and additional seating out on the side patio. While it does have a bar vibe, it has a whole section with video games and a pool table. Pros: was very easy to place our order and get our food. The server was amazing, running both the bar and the food to the tables. She was also very attentive in spite of having multiple patrons. The food was also very good. Loved the crust texture. The sauce was a win for me, though I can see how some wouldn't like it as it has undertones of spice. Cons: I don't experience any with this visit. Overall, if you're looking for a good vibe and a good pizza/food, I'd recommend Pizzeria 131. read more

This place is a locals hangout spot, so if your looking for somewhere touristy go further down the street. Next, I am confident in saying this place has the best burger on this island, hell they might have the best in Maine. Server was getting her butt kicked but still made time for us. I've lived in bar harbor for almost 10 years and this is my favorite place in town. It's not touristy, the prices are great, staff is friendly, food is always consistently good, and they have pool and tv trivia playing 24/7 with the little handheld devices. We stopped by here for dinner after a day in Acadia National Park. We had our dog with us so we needed someplace that was dog friendly. We sat in one of their outdoor tables, immediately the bartender came out and took our drink orders. The outside patio tables were very nice and roomy, the umbrellas provided nice shade and it was pretty quiet. We ordered the mozzarella sticks with a side of ranch dressing. We ordered their Mac Daddy pizza (a cheese burger type pizza) and boy was it delicious. The service was fast, the staff very attentive. Will definitely be back! read more

We ordered two pizza's and some wings for takeout. While we waited we were provided friendly service at the bar. My crew likes to sample the local brews but I prefer the tried and true mass produced beers so appreciated that I could enjoy a Corona while we waited. Our pizza's (the deluxe and a margarita) were delicious. Just the right amount of toppings and the seasonings were perfect. I like a crisper crust but the soft crust would not stop us from recommending their pizzas. We also got their buffalo wings. We thought they looked dry but honestly, the overall flavor and amount of sauce were perfect. Their food service as a bit slow but overall a great place and would recommend it to others. read more

We stopped in for some Pizza, drinks and a game of corn hole. It's the only place in Bar Harbor that we could find corn hole and it was worth the walk. The pizza was delicious, the drinks were cold, and the family game ended being a blast. Chris, at the bar, took our drink orders and made sure to check on us through the visit. This place is great! After a long day of kayaking we initially called Blaze burgers to order pickup to take home and they said they were too busy to deal with us & we'd have to come in. Then we called Pizzeria 131 and even though they were closing in 20 minutes they still said we could order pickup & they were super friendly about it. The person that answered the phone even read us the different salads they had available because we couldn't pull up the menus. We ordered 2 pies & a salad & everything was great. I don't understand why this place has such good reviews.. we went in for lunch and there was only one other table in there besides us. We waited about 15 minutes to be acknowledged and the server walked over to our table and just stood there, no greeting, no how are you, nothing. So we ordered our food. It came out fairly quickly but was disappointing. The pizza was super bland and the wings were as well. Our server never checked on us, we had to approach the bar and ask for shaker cheese for our pizza. We waited quite some time and no one came over so that we could pay. Ordered dinner for my family, take-out, left a nice tip, and our food was over 30 minutes late from the pickup time given. Food was room temperature at best by the time we ate and we didn't receive our drinks we ordered. Upon calling them about the issue, the options given were to drive back down and get the drinks or come back the following day. Driving back down at 8:26 with virtually non-existent parking, with 6 kids at the house wasn't a great option. Not acceptable or good service, for a mistake they admitted was theirs, with a 20% tip given for take-out. Very disappointed after hearing such great things. read more

Great spot on Cottage to grab a pizza and beer. The pizza was very good and hit the spot after a few days of seafood. This was recommended as a stop by a few of the bartenders at a neighboring bar.
