Great little spot to pic up some food before going into the park. They lady at the register was sweet and pretty helpful. I'd read so many reviews about amazing and delicious breakfast sandwiches. I hate to be disagreeable but I did not enjoy my egg and sausage muffin. They sausage was pretty tasty. The egg ok. The english muffin was very dry and I honestly could barely eat it for lack of flavor. The oatmeal raisin cookie on the other hand was fantastic! I wish i'd bought more cookies. read more

Very old run down dirty store that has gas . You might find a snack or beverage . I wish I had taken pictures .

Ordered six sandwiches to go, four turkey and two Italian. The person taking the order didn't bother to write anything down. When we opened and ate the sandwiches not one of them was what we ordered. All had either ingredients that we didn't want on the sandwich or items were missing from the sandwiches. Also don't bother trying to call in your order because they don't pick up the phone to answer it. My recommendation, go somewhere else if you are looking for a sandwich. read more

I cannot say enough of this place. Between our long trip, long days in Acadia, and rainy days, we stopped a few times during it stay and it was so nice to have fresh, quick, easy, delicious food to grab. Not to mention local chips, desserts and beer all in one stop. Our girls loved it so much they just had to write a note thanking Jason for all of his recommendations while they ran through grabbing all that they could. read more

Loved. this homey stop for breakfast. The staff is so friendly to everyone that comes in, regular or not. In the store you can see the pastries coming out of the oven. We got blueberry muffins and other pastries. Very moist and full of flavor. Good price on breakfast sandwiches. There's a small charge for a paper bag. read more

I got the chicken salad sandwich for lunch. They grilled the brioche bread it was on. The sandwich was large and DELICIOUS! I am not kidding when I say that it may be the best sandwich I have ever gotten. Amazing. Also, the prices were extremely reasonable. I may dream of that sandwich - so good. read more

We stumbled upon this cute place on the way to Acadia. Got a muffin and juice. It tasted fresh and homemade. So we decided to return the next morning. This time we had premade egg sandwiches on croissants. Also very good. They are a one-stop shop with gas, Post Office, coffee, meals, convenience items, etc. read more

This place looks like it would be really good, especially considering the great reviews from others. Sadly we haven't made it in at all because it seems to be following random hours and it has been closed every time we've tried going there even though website hours say it should be open. Stopped by there again this afternoon (Saturday) and there's a rope in front of door with a sign that says they'll be back on Monday! Disappointed. I hope they get their act together if it's a matter of being short handed or whatever. read more

Woke up very early on a Saturday to hit up Acadia National Park. We were on our way to a deli we had Yelped, but passed by this gas station and decided to stop and fill up. We figured we would go in and see what the food sitch was. Turned out they had breakfast sandwiches to go, pastries, coffee, everything we needed for breakfast. We decided to, not only have breakfast here, but also order sandwiches from the deli to bring with us to the park. We grabbed breakfast sandwiches and ate outside on a picnic table. They were pretty good considering we bought them from a gas station convenience store! The owner or manager, I don't know who he was, but he was working behind the deli, made us customized hoagies for our day. He was so friendly and nice! Stopping here really made us feel like locals! We met a police officer who was a regular eating his usual breakfast. Great selection and great service - we loved supporting this local business and you should to! read more

Who know a gas station would be the place I went to EVERY day on my 8 day vacation to Maine?!?!Wonderful staff! Family owned and operated, friendly, and legitimately care about your visit to Bar Harbor! Delicious Baked Goods! Lisa makes all the baked goods in house and works so hard and they are amazing! Personal favorites were the Brownie (OMG!) and the cherry danish! My cousin loved the apple fritter! Great selection of beer, wine, sundries and they will grill you a cheeseburger (yum)! This is a great little general store to have nearby when visiting Acadia. They have a good variety of pre-made sandwiches in the fridge that tasted good (for like around $5 each), plus some pre-made hot sandwiches -- very good to have when you're in a hurry to get to the hills and can't deal with Bar Harbor restaurant's parking, long waits and high prices (and weird hours -- why does every restaurant in BH close by 8pm?). They had a grill section but we didn't try it. They had the usual assortment of other random items that a visitor may need. We were always able to park, although sometimes it can get tight. There's also a gas station out in front. The owners and other employees were all very friendly, helpful and polite. We saw 4 different employees over the week (including owner) and they were all consistently terrific. I'm not sure why another reviewer called the employees "rude" as they most certainly weren't. But, it could also be these are new owners since then. We did find the employees of the "Pepper's" restaurant next door abrupt and not friendly, so we prefer to grab quick food from the general store now. read more

The store is right next door to the house we stay in Hulls Cove. The have Old Soaker Soda and Bar Harbor Bars. I trip to Acadia is not complete without consuming several of each. The store is more of quickie mart then a general store. They have gas pumps out front and pizza oven inside. read more

Seems like all the locals stop in here, owner knows many people by name. Have there a few times on the way to sunrise at Cadillac Mountain they open very early. read more
