The sausage was just ok nothing special but the turkey was dry and tasted OLD. We did get a Beef rib which was pricey but it was the only item that was delicious and made the drive worth it. They did have FREE lone Star beer. But the employees looked tried and nobody was smile. I was there a bit before 11am which is when they open. Gone are the days of recommending this place. BBQ isn't Blacks, Lockharts or Franklins, but I do have to admit the sausage and ribs were quite tasty. No shortcuts here just solid, honest BBQ done right. And the mac and cheese? Creamy, cheesy, and loaded with brisket. While I waited I had great conversation with Jim Bob. He was a down to earth guy and it turns out we are from the same hometown. Felt less like grabbing food from a truck and more like visiting an old buddy who can really cook.
