The sausage was just ok nothing special but the turkey was dry and tasted OLD. We did get a Beef rib which was pricey but it was the only item that was delicious and made the drive worth it. They did have FREE lone Star beer. But the employees looked tried and nobody was smile. I was there a bit before 11am which is when they open. Gone are the days of recommending this place. BBQ isn't Blacks, Lockharts or Franklins, but I do have to admit the sausage and ribs were quite tasty. Ribs were St. Louis style ribs and a little on the fatty side but the taste profile was quite good showing that the pit master had his act together. The BBQ sauce provided with the meal was a good match...tangy and a bit spicy! Sausage was excellent tasty and juicy! Meal fell kinda short when it comes to sides, potato salad was vinegar based and eggy, baked beans were not to my liking.
