I went here the other day and I loved it. I ordered the Texas Special that includes 3 slices of French toast, 4 slices of bacon, and 2 eggs. It was very delicious. My husband ordered the Country Boy which includes 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, 4 slices of bacon, eggs, and home-fries. He loved his as well. It's a really good serving size and you can't beat the price. Basic and affordable breakfast from a simple diner. I sometimes come here for breakfast while I am at work since it's right next to the CVS Health Circle and it's normally quite satisfying. I normally want an omelet but I noticed when I order it soft, it doesn't come out any different which I find disappointing because I like my omelets a certain way. However, its not too expensive and it comes with a generous portion, so I would probably still get one if I was really craving it. As far as I can remember, the wait staff is always friendly and brings in a positive energy into the restaurant. If you are just looking for something quick and easy for breakfast--better than cumbies or dunkin--that's also affordable, I would say try out Patriots Diner, you may be surprised. read more

Unpretentious. Down to earth. Dependable. This morning, Wednesday at 3am, I was famished after work. I had to ride up to North Smithfield anyway so a stop was needed. -Ginger ale I'm the bottle. Perfect. -Eggs over easy. Perfect. -Sausage gravy and biscuits. Great texture. The gravy was scary but I loved it. -Side salad. I'm not sure why. Cold, crisp, tomato, cucumber, green pepper. Once again visited this super diner and I wasn't let down! Have had various items off the menu but this time I decided to go simple. I ordered the deluxe mushroom cheeseburger. It was a beast! One of the best burgers I have had! My daughter opted for the eggs Benedict - she wasn't disappointed. She got three eggs instead of the usual two other places give you! I don't know how they do it .... heaping portions at the most reasonable prices I have ever come across! The staff, as always, were friendly and made our visit all the more enjoyable. This is my 3rd time here, I ordered a sirloin steak tip and they I realize they didn't ask how I wanted my steak cook and when my food arrive the steak was over cooked. Man am I happy I tried this place. I'm too tired to get into heavy detail. However I must say that the food here is a notch, or three above most other diners around here. Homemade, well seasoned and well executed. I got the moussaka, a piece of baked haddock, hot chocolate, and bread pudding for dessert. Service was even better. My waitress Meagan was very conscientious to say the least! Despite being new. She had no problem earning herself a fairly large tip ($10 on a $24 bill), and making me feel very well taken care of. She went above, and beyond what most servers would have done for me. She intelligently didn't try to "wing it", and instead asked the guy in charge, before answering my questions. She diligently responded to all my requests as quickly as possible, and had a great personality to back it up. She's a mother to 3 children, and I felt her motherly instincts the whole time she waited on me. Those are 3 lucky kids. She's a great woman indeed! Oh, and this was At 3am in the morning too! A lot of 24hr places, either stink, have a limited menu, or both (IHOP for instance). This place is neither. A night owls dream to be sure! They responded to special requests like very few places do. With no fuss at all! I left there very happy. And needless to say. I will definitly be back for more. To say I was impressed. Would be an enormous understatement! That quick bite turned into a long diner experience that we absolutely enjoyed. I was all set to order their bacon cheeseburger with onion rings when the waitress informed us of their dinner special - Chicken pot pie. OMG I hadn't had pot pie in a long time so I made the switch and boy was I glad. That pot pie was one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the usual pies with filling inside, this one involved a large flaky puff pastry dropped onto a plate filled with the chicken gravy. And there were huge chunks of chicken too. The homefries are a little different and I really liked them, even brought home my leftovers to recook them the next morning. The egg and cheese was also good, if not a little plain. My boyfriend got the eggs benedict. Normally a better-than-average place will ask you how you want your egg poached, but the Patriots Diner didn't ask. Our waitress was very nice and chatty. My husband & I had lunch there on 11/30/19,my second time there & I will not be back. First of all,we sat down & waited 10 minutes before we even saw a menu,we arrived at 130. True to my notion of a diner, this place has the crowd, the bar stools, the small tables and the friendly "honey", "sweetheart" addressing wait staff; most importantly, the menu and large portion servings (ended up half eating my breakfast). I went using my Groupon -- that was a deal. Friendly service, continuous turnover of people while I was there (around 11 AM on Sunday) -- in other words, busy! Reasonable price. Enjoyed the home fries. Crispy on top; just the way I like it. No fuss, greasy diner meal but there's egg white available, too, without the extra charge. I only wish they wouldn't fill my omelet with so much gooey mozzarella cheese. Some people like that excessive serving but not me. I nearly choked on my bite! I suppose this is why I didn't finish my meal. Just a bit overwhelming but yes, I'd go back. Nothing that an honest feedback to the cook can't fix. Sidenote: Hmm not that I am a scrooge but on the day I was there, a crafty family of 3 (mom, pop and son) have set up a table to ask for $5 board donations to their son's Karate fundraiser. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was local, easily accessible, and we were seated immediately. I was a bit disappointed that there was only at-bar seating, but what was I to expect on a Sunday morning. This is definitely a trucker stop and sits next to a hotel/motel. We had heard great things about this diner from friends and were looking forward to a nice breakfast this morning. My boyfriend went in around 9 this morning to have breakfast and bring food home for me. He was a party of one with open seats available. Two couples came in to the diner after him, and were seated before he was. When he asked why they were being seated before him, the waitress just stared at him and walked away. Restaurants have their own policies regarding seating, etc but it is very suspicious to me that he was the only person of color in the restaurant and additionally the only one ignored. We were excited to eat here and support a small business in the era of COVID, now we will not return and will relay this story to others. read more

I love a real diner. Came here for breakfast one day before a snowstorm. Got some eggs over easy hash browns and corned beef hash. My wife got eggs over easy bacon and hash browns. We split a strawberry and banana waffe. Portions were huge. We have three to go boxes. Food was so good and the bill was nice and cheap. Great service. All around great experience.
