One of my favorite breakfast spots in RI! My Grandfather and I have our favorite table to sit at by the door and the waitresses are always so kind/friendly. I love their omelets and hash! If you're looking for delicious breakfast/lunch at a reasonable price in a relaxed atmosphere this is a must try!

Tried ollies for the first time today... It's a cute little breakfast place. I wasn't overwhelmed by the hash, but it was ok. Toast was yum and so were the baked beans! The scramble was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly!

Ollies is our favorite breakfast spot in Cumberland! Friendly service, fast and always has a full board of daily specials. For a small diner, they do accept credit cards which is a plus. Seating is available for larger groups too. The best!

Wow! What a wonderful little spot! Tis named after the owners dog- West Highland Terrier. similar to the one in this photo ! We were welcomed genuinely and warmly to this small eclectic diner. The menu is just right for what we need in a breakfast and luncheon Spot, and there are additional specials as well. I ordered the "Little Ollie" which was absolutely delicious!!! Golden crispy hash browns loaded w ham and melted cheese and a poached egg w creamy hollandaise on top! The atmosphere was charming as smiling, cheerful wait staff attended us --- the murmur of ohhhs and ahhhs could be heard at nearby tables; totally satisfied customers!

Waiting for our french toast and sausages, after early morning tutoring!

Best breakfast sausage!!!! My daughters favorite place to eat after reading tutoring at the library down the street. Delicious. Portions are generous, and reasonably priced. My husband amd I on a friday, get one Lumberjack plate to share. Our youngest daughter loves the banana french toast!

Have eaten here before but first time since they expanded the restaurant. Now everyone is not on top of each other. They are good for breakfast and lunch. The day we came we had brunch. They have many egg, omelette and pancake choices. Lunch menu is a few sandwiches and burgers. Didn't see a bar so I don't think they have those type of drinks. My daughter and I each had a BLT and my husband had an egg white sandwich. Servings were good and no one went home hungry. The prices won't break the bank and you're supporting local business.

Food was good, I had the special biscuits and Chorizo gravy. It was really good, and a huge portion. The pancakes the other person had and they were nice and fluffy. Definitely will return.

First timer here! So my mom woke up with a craving for pancakes and immediately thought to head over to McD's for a breakfast platter. The all-day breakfast is not a thing anymore so we thought of another option: IHOP. Well ultimately, we decided not to go because hey, why not support someplace local instead? And so that's how we ended up at Ollie's. We had just barely made it as the diner was closing in 15 mins - but were still pleasantly welcomed. It didn't make sense for us to sit down at their outdoor seating space since they were already putting away chairs...so we opted for take-out. Here are my thoughts: FOOD: We ordered the Big Ollie and the Apple Cinnamon Waffle special. The Big Ollie was massive, definitely enough for two people. It was a huge serving of hash browns, three poached eggs (hehe an extra to keep us coming back!), thinly sliced grilled ham, cheese and plenty of hollandaise sauce - YUM! As for the waffle, it literally tasted like an apple pie!! There were delicious bite-sized pieces of warm apple and the portion was also a good size. We were given several packets of butter and maple syrup. The takeaway boxes were put together nicely and we had absolutely no leakage or mess - bravo! SERVICE & PRICE: Even though we didn't have the time to sit down, I can still say that the service here is super friendly. The waitress that assisted us was kind and helpful. Prices are affordable and fair, not like other places where you overpay for a couple of eggs and toast. AMBIANCE: Ollie's has a nice outdoor seating area set up under the shade - perfect for a weekend morning so we shall be back!

That's saying a lot because I have sampled many, many croissants. The Yum roll was melt-in-your- mouth delicious with the perfect balance of sweet with a hint of salt, crunchy around the edges and topped with a delightful creamy drizzle of caramel. The plain croissants were perfectly fluffy and flaky. The almond square was pure heaven with a deep almond flavored frangipane surrounded by crunchy layers. The bakery itself is really cute. This place is massive, with lots of tables to dine in, and a bakery section. We ordered the following: Mondongo (pequeño), bandeja paisa, lengua sudada, and res apanada. The food came out in about 20 minutes. The serving sizes were a little bigger than normal (I am not complaining), every plate looked delicious, and all the plates were hot and fresh. The mondongo was tasty and had a good amount of tripe and the right thickness of the broth. I chuckled when I saw the side of banana, but honestly, it made for a good desert. The bandeja paisa brings a litte bit of everything and it all was cooked well. The lengua sudada was very tender and flavorful and the yucca was soft, with the sauce it was in giving it a really good flavor. The res apanada was a bit tough and the breading did not stick on too well, but overall the flavor was good and the breading was crispy which I enjoyed. The best part of it all was the prices. It is very affordable and you will leave full.   The bakery is inexpensive and the items I have tried and good. They do have a large parking lot and it's free. While in the area, you could visit the Slater Mill (they have tours you could sign up for) or visit the public library. One thing to note is that the GPS might bring you to their old location a couple blocks up the street, so do a little bit of research for the address beforehand.

Loved the atmosphere and the place was spotless. One of the waitresses seated us asked us if we'd like a drink and pickles with coleslaw. We said yes pickles were great. Coleslaw was very vinegary. Was not a fan of that. We both ordered half a pound of pastrami sandwiches with Swiss cheese and mustard. The pastrami was very lean and sliced very thin and that was good. But I found the pastrami lacking in flavor. I think I was expecting pastrami like they sell at Katz's deli or the old now closed Carnegie's in New York. Would come back to try other things.

To be clear, the food isn't bad. It's perfectly edible. The problem is that it's also remarkably average, especially considering the prices they're charging. Nothing I've ordered has made me think, "I can't wait to come back for that." It's just...fine. We actually visited during opening weekend, and it was a bit of a mess. They ran out of pastrami, which is a pretty big problem for a deli that was generating so much excitement. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because opening weekends can be chaotic. Since then, we've been back several times hoping things would improve, but the experience has been largely the same. The biggest issue, aside from the food being average, is the service. It's consistently slow. I can understand waiting when a restaurant is packed, but we've experienced long waits even when there were very few customers inside. It feels like everything moves at half speed, and that's been true on multiple visits. I also think they're trying a little too hard to be Katz's Delicatessen. That's an incredibly high bar, and instead of trying to recreate that experience, I'd rather see them focus on becoming the best version of themselves. Right now, it feels like the ambition exceeds the execution. The one thing I will gladly compliment is the bagels. They've been excellent every time we've ordered them, and honestly, they're probably the strongest item on the menu. I do think there's plenty of room for improvement, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. There's clearly potential here, and I genuinely hope they find their footing because I'd love to have another great deli in the area. We'll probably give them another chance down the road, and I hope I can come back and update this review with a much more positive experience.
