I placed the request through Yelp and got a response right away. Juan scheduled the initial visit promptly and we received the proposal quickly. The bid was within the range we expected and they proposed replacing our gutters which was something we hadn't requested. The gutters were the item that tipped us to choosing this group. We were delighted with the speed with which the job was scheduled. The weather caused a slight delay but they finished quickly and left no mess behind! I liked that we were kept informed on the progress; we regularly received photos and communications especially when sections of the roof were found to be in rough shape. I've been a customer of Wilber's for several years. Up till now I've always found them to be…read morereasonable in price, professional, reliable and trustworthy. I don't know what's happened but, they are no longer the company they used to be. I recently hired Wilbers to repair a loose newel post at the bottom of my stairs. When Danny the estimator came he explained that it might be an easy fix or more involved if they needed to install a new 4X4 interior post. Though I requested that he provide estimates for both scenarios he only sent the estimate for the worst case scenario. I let that go because I trusted that they would do the right thing should it prove to be an easy fix. When they arrived it turned out that all that was needed was to replace the wooden board in the basement with a 2 ft. 2x4 and tighten the bolt that runs inside the post. The workers were here for 1 hour and for this Wilber's decided that a fair price was $820. It seemed absolutely outrageous to me that they would charge me $820 to tighten a bolt so I tried reaching out to Wilber 3 times and asked that he call me back to discuss. Well he never called me back. I can only assume that he knows full well that he did is wrong and is unable to justify his outrageous pricing. It's sad that Wilber thinks this is how you should treat a loyal customer and it's certainly disappointing to discover what an unprofessional and unethical person he is. I certainly will never utilize the services of Wilbers ever again and I would caution anyone thinking of hiring them to think twice. Wilber is a man that lacks integrity and therefore someone you cannot trust to do business with.

Based on our conversation it's clear that they both care immensely about their clientele - retained or not. The simple fact that they reached out personally to understand the situation demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction. While there was a missed opportunity in the past, I will absolutely consider them for future projects down the line. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We had a tree severely damage our house and needed extensive repairs. While doing the necessary repairs to the home through insurance we also decided to take the opportunity to remodel our kitchen and dining room areas out of pocket. Magnolia was one of the contractors we brought in for a price quote. The contractor who came out was extremely condescending and belittling - assuming that my wife and I could not afford the cost of the project. On multiple occasions the contractor made unnecessary comments related to the anticipated costs of the remodel - alluding to our assumed inability to afford the scope of the work. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere and couldn't be happier with the outcome of the work done. There are plenty of contractors in the market that will deliver a high quality product without thumbing their nose at you or assuming that they're too good for any job. If you want a company that acts like they're elite but only deliver the same outcome as anyone else - look no further - this is a great choice for you. However, I'd suggest you avoid the holier than thou attitude and find someone who will not only get the job done, but also treat you right.

Magnolias job isn't just to make my home beautiful which they exceeding. Their job was also making sure I was 1000000 percent happy with the job they set out to do which, I was! I worked with many people named Chris but a huge shout out to Chris who was the project manager that really did wonders making sure the job ran smoothly and made sure I was satisfied with the outcome! Vic also made it a point to come by several times to make sure things got done which was nice to see the owner of a huge company making time for his clients. Magnolia is a great company to work with if you are looking to do a remodel for your home. Worth every penny and trust me your will spend a few but the job will be done right and professionally. Hugo from H&F was fantastic. I tried patching a 10" x 10" hole by myself and failed miserably. Hugo…read morewas able to come within 24 hours, removed my bad patch job, and refinished the hole with drywall. The price was very fair and I was really impressed with how it turned out. Once it's painted, you would never know there was a hole there. He is based in NJ and can travel anywhere within NJ or NYC (I'm in Queens).

Dan came by, and quoted me to add a hose to the front yard, add a washer/dryer water hookup, and to add a gas water heater for our 2 unit house. We also got one other quote, and Dan's prices were very fair. We were able to schedule within the week for him to come by. He was able to do the hose and washer dryer within just a few hours - he was very efficient. He came by the following week to do the gas water heater install. We were really happy with this work, efficiency, and fair pricing. Everything he did is working well and I don't doubt he'll be there to help if anything were to go wrong. Will definitely be using Dan and his team for all our plumbing needs in the future.
