Mikula was the largest company and I located them with a Google search. The other two contractors I found by word of mouth. Mikula's estimate was the most competitive and once they started the job they worked continuously to completion. They demolished a 4500 square-foot house with concrete basement, a four car garage with attached clubhouse and an in-ground reenforced concrete, swimming pool. The operators of the excavating equipment were highly skilled and easy to communicate with at all times. Scheduling was accomplished through office personnel who were very knowledgeable and responsive. There were no glitches in the entire operation--from estimating the job to obtaining permits to completion. In fact, the quality of the work was so impressive, I hired Mikula to build a rock wall around the perimeter of a pond on my property and install a French drain to divert surface water. This second job was completed in 2 1/2 days and the results were impressive. This is a company that has earned its reputation for excellence and the machine operators and laborers obviously take pride in their work. Plus, Mikula owns most of the equipment used on the job--excavators, dozers, skid steer machines dump trucks and trailers - -so the company is not dependent on others to get the job done. I highly recommend this company. John Collins Livingston, NJ

I paid ANCO additional fees (which were substantial) for expedited soil sampling and expedited state paperwork/processing. Unfortunately, those services were not expedited. I have made multiple attempts to contact Mark by both phone and email to discuss the situation and request reimbursement for the expedited services that were not provided, but he has not even acknowledged my calls or emails. I am disappointed because I have no complaint about the on-site work itself. My concern is specifically with paying for services that were not delivered as represented and then being unable to get a response when attempting to resolve the issue. I hope ANCO will address this matter and improve its communication with customers when there is a concern about services that have been paid for but not provided. When we pay more than $40,000 to this company, I would expect them to respond to their customers.

Finally I gave the job to Anco that came up with a plan for the remediation. Last year they started the remediation process and injected the right chemicals. The chemicals have been very effective. From the last test report, the numbers have come to 2 parts in a billion from 85. The goal is 1 part in a billion. It should get there soon.
