I LOVE that this restaurant supports the local professional Chenango River Theatre. The food is excellent and the staff are fantastic.

Food was excellent, service friendly and fast. Ambiance wasn't anything special but conducive to conversation.

We decided to drive there and if we needed reservations we'd just go someplace else. They take reservations but didn't need them. My husband is a huge fan of a steak, so is my brother in law. They were very pleased. We were a large group and they seated us right away, They have a lot of signature sauces with all there foods, from horseradish dip to buffalo mozzarella cheese appetizers. The waitress was pleasant and she had a lot to deal with food allergies which I dread eating out because of this. She was kind and the chef answered all the questions. No epi- pen needed. We also had a Vegetarian and a hearing impaired person at the table that kept asking her to repeat herself, she was still pleasant and happy at the end. They have a lounge and a bar area on the other side of the dining area. The desserts are all made on the premise but we all ate so much we just couldn't eat it, however we've decided the Whiskey flour-less cake is worth a return even if we just do desserts. The food was well above the norm for this area. Only downside was the restaurant was hot because the fan above us right outside the kitchen doors was broken. I would asked to be seated someplace else next time because we were sweating at that spot, but we did have a large group so we just went with it. The prices are higher than what people would normally pay in this area but if you appreciate a good meal its well worth it. We plan on going back end of July. Good food is hard to come by in our area. Let me be specific the dinners range from 9.99 to 29.99, they do have a kids menu also but I didn't have kids with us. The app were reasonable @ 5.99 for massive plate of Onion rings. I recommend you give it a try. They also have a gas pub for those who like beer. I could go on about each dish from my Aunts perfectly cooked shrimp alfredo, to the delicious Ceasar Salad- but go experience it: Enjoy !!

While in Utica getting the truck serviced I consulted my trusty Yelp App looking for a brewery,…read morewhat pops up but Nail Creek Pub and Brewery. We sat at the bar which is typical and had the absolute best experience with Emma, the bartender, who was big as a barn pregnant, but looking very cute. Emma was personable, knowledgeable and very engaging. We really enjoy the conversation, food/beer experience. I had the tacos and hubby had the grilled cheese with a cup of the soup of the day, all was very tasty!! Beer was very yummy! Should you happen upon Utica, NY, stop by Nail Creek Pub and Brewery, it's a great place to take a load off and have a local brew, great service and conversation. Say hey to Emma, unless she is giving birth to her baby.

Any other time, if you are not a regular, this place might not be for you. I've been here several times with mixed experiences. The last time I was there was a Thursday in the summer of 2024. My husband, brother and I were excited to find seats at the bar and order dinner. The bartender was a short blonde woman and there was a male bar back. The bartender did not acknowledge us for over 15 minutes. We were actively looking at the menu on our phones and talking about what we wanted to try and attempted to make eye contact with her as she walked by us with no luck. She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We left as we felt very unwelcome there and ended up having excellent service down the street at Lukin's.

Definitely a spot where you could linger for a while. Food-wise, we ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken (breaded in crushed Cheerios--yes, Cheerios, and yes, surprisingly delicious!), the bánh mì, and the crispy chicken sandwich, which ended up being the star of the show. Every bite of that sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and satisfying. We upgraded our side to the greens, which came topped with some mysterious orange ingredient--maybe a grated carrot dressing? Whatever it was, it was scrumptious. We also ordered a side of pickles, which were surprisingly affordable and so flavorful that they disappeared fast. We didn't try any drinks, but the menu had plenty of interesting options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how family-friendly the place felt: while we waited, the kids grabbed a new-to-us game (The Enchanted Forest) from the board game shelves, which made the time fly by. Service was attentive and friendly without hovering, and overall we had a fantastic experience. If we lived closer, this would be a regular lunch spot for sure!

The ambiance is dim and quiet, but they were happy to have us. My 4 year old used colored pencils on coloring sheets we brought with us. For babies and small kids, they have ingelisa chairs that clip on the high tables and I was concerned about the high chairs for our 4 year old but it was fine. She devoured her entire meal(chicken tenders) and a half of our 1 year olds' (they have a kids menu with chicken tenders, grilled peanut butter and fluff, noodles with butter, hot dog..). The service was fast and great. While I am vegetarian and my spouse is gluten free, we are always pleasantly surprised when we both find delicious food. I loved the general tso's poboy with cauliflower and tofu. I wish there was more cauliflower since my 1 year old took many of those pieces. My spouse got something with "pulled pork and quinoa" and he said it was very good too.
