Our group of 5 stopped for lunch on our way through town on the way to Walton on 6/6/26. Every aspect of our visit was excellent...especially the biscuits with sausage gravy! And the pancakes are bigger than my first apartment, and mighty delicious. The iced tea is the real deal, not some chemical swill from a gun. Value for the buck is quite high. When in town for work all the locals told us we had to try Bonnie's & I'm so glad they did!!! Some of the best breakfast food I've ever had, at fantastic prices with incredible service. I usually come here for a late breakfast. Once in a while I stop in for lunch, during the work day. Today, I stopped in for their soup & salad. I'm a regular here, and as usual, the service was fast & friendly, the food was good, all at a decent price. In the quaint village of Greene sits a cute little restaurant that we've wanted to try for several months. We went to breakfast today there and were promptly greeted and brought menus and drinks. It seemed like it was going to be a great place. It's decorated cutely and just well kept.. The waitress was very friendly. We placed our order and then things took a turn. I understand Sunday mornings are busy and especially the Sunday before Christmas. But we waited nearly 25 minutes for our order. When we went to eat our food it was barely warm but delicious. Had it been brought sooner there's no doubt it would of knocked it out of the park. The servings are good size, the breads are homemade and the home fries amazing and the omelettes were so tasty however they need to be served warm. What a big disappointment for this little gem of a restaurant. I'm confused on if I'll go back and try this place again since the service for getting orders was slow and the food barely warms. read more

I love Bonnie's and am surprised at the bad reviews. Granted, I haven't been there in a couple of years because I missed stopping in on my last trip north. However, I've been going there since I was a kid. Maybe it's like Waffle House or the Varsity are to native Atlantans - there's a nostalgia that overrides the food quality. Whatever it is, I always enjoy my breakfasts there. It's a small town joint with good prices and friendly service to match. I'm here right now and my coffee cup has been empty for a long time. They walk right by with the coffee pot. I've been waiting almost 45 minutes for my food. They aren't that busy but I guess they're just really slow. Hopefully the food is good, but I'm starting to have my doubts. I'd like to just get up and leave but I'm hungry. read more

We really like Bonnie's. Every time we go there, it can always be an adventure - one day you can be sitting with or around locals, the next time it's out of town visitors passing through. The staff are always very engaging, and quick to offer up suggestions- especially if you want to try something new. The menu is basic breakfast and lunch items such as eggs, pancakes and burgers. Bonnie's bakes its own bread so be sure to include some in your order. It endeavors to use local ingredients such as eggs, fruit, vegetables and maple syrup which I greatly appreciated. Four of us ordered a good assortment of food from both the breakfast and lunch menus and everyone really liked their food. The service was prompt and friendly. But becuase, like so many places like this in the general area, the coffee is weak and the home fries are not homemade, I will have to give it two stars..... Yesterday was our 3rd recent visit to Bonnie's and enjoyed our lunch very much, husband had the special Turkey, bacon, apple, cheddar cheese wrap, delicious he said, I had the Reuben, which was equally good, maybe with just a little less dressing as quite messy to eat without a fork and knife but otherwise delicious. We enjoyed sides of the waffle sweet potato fries and broccoli salad, definitely came away well satisfied and looking forward to the next visit soon maybe for breakfast this time. I went to Bonnie's just because it was The closest thing open selling breakfast and I ended up falling in love with this place. They make all their own Breads, bagels probably muffins donuts all kinds of stuff they make it all from scratch and the food there is amazing. My mother and I went there for breakfast before a log drive I order a waffle and my mom got eggs and toast . I was thrilled with the size of the waffle but when I tasted it tasted like pancakes. I ask the waitress for another one or replacement and she toke it back. As soon as she told the cook the lady went off the wall screaming and swearing and threating to yell at me. The server brought me a muffin and apologized but my mother and I quickly left due to the fact that I was pretty sure I was about to screamed at by the cook. read more

When one is off the beaten path, one wants to go where the locals eat. That's the major + at Bonnie's. The food is exactly what one would expect at this type of a breakfast/lunch establishment in a rural location. Nuthin' fancy, but thoroughly adequate and decent portions. The staff & clientele are warm & friendly (lotsa big family groups, especially on weekends), the ambience earnest and utterly unpretentious. Decent food and good people.
