The food here is always good, especially the Big Bistro Breakfast. Service is always friendly and fast. It's a great local diner!

well, I saw people walking out of this place with great like ice cream so I stopped. I'm so glad I did. It looks like they serve the old Hershey's ice cream with a new brand name. A late breakfast after a fun visit to Greene's 36th annual Apple Fest, was an excellent experience. There's plenty of parking on the premises. There's easy access via a few steps or a wheelchair/handicapped ramp. Inside, the place was bright, airy, and clean. Menu items are posted on the wall behind the counter, but the friendly waitress brought us printed menus with the entire bill of fare thereon. I was delighted to find sausage, gravy, and bisquets available, and ordered it. Meg ordered a cheddar cheese omelet. Both came with an order of interesting home fries, that resembled french fries that were prepared on the grill. My glass of orange juice was large and tasty. Meg had water which she proclaimed to be wet. Both of our meals were very good, and we were delighted with the service. The owner stopped by our table to check our satisfaction, and she too was delightful. I definitely recommend Bourdeau's Bistro, across the road from the lazy Chenango River, in Greene, NY. Traveling Ithaca to Albany and looking for a lunch spot in Greene. Boudreau's had high marks on Yelp so I decided to give it a try. Not disappointed, rather quite pleased. Everything was fresh and made on site. The chicken noodle soup was fabulous with a tasty broth. Potato salad was tasty and my hamburger flavorful. Quaint diner in Greene serving all day breakfast, lunch and dinner. Typical American fare menu - sandwiches, burgers, salads, wraps, etc - with a variety of mostly starchy sides (French fries, sweet potato waffle fries, potato salad, macaroni salad, green beans, etc). No kids menu but plenty of kid friendly options: hot dog, pizza, fried shrimp, chicken fingers, etc. Reasonably priced, as 12 people ate for $120 (before tip). Most options were 3-4/5 in quality. My philly steak sub with sweet potato fries was pretty good. Heat hot on a warm roll with a good amount of grilled onions and peppers; sweet potato fries were good but not out of this world. My wife enjoyed the melt and generous portion of golden French fries. Daughters liked their food too (wrap and fried shrimp). Though I didn't taste it, the salad a friend ordered looked very good in appearance. She said it tasted pretty good too! Very good service (4-4.5/5). Our waitress was polite, friendly, and visible; beverage glasses didn't stay empty for long. She even offered to supplement toppings on my youngest son's hot dog when he learned a hot dog wall decoration wasn't an actual menu of how their dogs were served (Chicago, etc etc). Perhaps the biggest draw of this place is the ICE CREAM. Creamy, cold and sweet, available in soft serve or scooped in a variety of flavors. Servings sir was big and very reasonably priced. Fed 12 people ice cream for $42 with tip! Among our favorites were superhero, muddy boots, apple pie, mint fudge, and soft serve vanilla. Thanks for a fabulous late lunch BB. myself and 2 friends dined here today. The main part of the restaurant was packed so they opened another room just for us. Our server was super attentive, friendly and answered all our questions. The food was great, as it always is. For being out of the main dining room our server did not forget us, took our order right away and the food was served quickly She came back numerous times just to check on us. The food is good and the staff is friendly. However, we have to eat BEFORE we get there because it takes so long before you actually get your food. The few times we went there, we waited for at least 45 minutes to get our food! E we ordered 2 hotdogs, mozzarella sticks, a toasted cheese sandwich, and a hamburger. We probably won't return. My grandson was given a cup of cocoa that was full of bugs. None of us felt like we could finish our meal and yet we were still required to pay for it. The rest of the food was edible but our appetites had been destroyed. we used to love their pancakes. The pancakes we've had recently we're like rubber. The waitress was lovely and the help was very nice but that couldn't make up for the food. read more

Great selection. Quiet and calm environment. For dessert you can get Ice cream or Italian ice with tons of options.

Went here this morning with 6 other people, the waitress was fantastic and the food was good. Our coffee cups were never empty and the coffee was good as well. Not everyone showed up at the same time but as each arrived the waitress was quick to accommodate the newest arrival. We will be returning to try lunch or maybe the Upstate ice cream that is served here. read more

My son and I stopped in here to check things out. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was quite accommodating. That being said, we wanted to see about the food. Typical diner fare, but I was legitimately surprised at how good our food turned it to be for a new/small place. Looks can be deceiving!
